You could try the Sprawl trilogy, if you're up for some dense reading. I'm stuck halfway through Count Zero because I keep losing track of it. I might just start over.

Nueromancer in and of itself is pretty fast reading, though, so I'd say start there. Virtual Light was also really good, but it is the start of a whole different trilogy, so you gotta make a sticking point somewhere.
