Wouldn't you just connect it to your computer?

I don't think it will delete your apps unless you tell iTunes to do so.

That's what I thought too, but when I tried to put some new apps on it it told me that it would delete all of the apps that were already on the iPod, so...

Add them to your library then hit "Save changes."
