Life Style Extra reports today that within the first two days of the announcement of its release date, more than 100,000 copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were pre-ordered on Amazon.co.uk.

 

Christopher North, head of books at Amazon.co.uk, said: "The response has been extraordinary. Pre-orders surged as soon as the official announcement was made on February 1.

 

"We had orders coming in from offices and homes across the UK at an incredible rate and there was no sign of this slowing as the weekend came to an end. It's on target to be our biggest-selling book ever."
