No, this entry has nothing to do with my Haloween 2006 entry. ;)

Image screencaptured from the Epilogue of Outlaw Star episode 26, "Return to Space"

I should mention I finished watching Outlaw Star last Friday, but I got so tied up with the model, and now that Huntwyck is back (Did it ever really go away?), I haven't had time to say as much.

Out of 26 episodes, only episode 19 "Law & Lawlessness" can be omitted from the storyline.

Which means episode 23 "Hot Springs Planet Tenrei" is important to the storyline.

*heavy sigh*

I realize there's a difference in culture between the US and Japan, and what is scandalous here may not be so much so over there. But come on, ...Tenrei was gratuitous. :annoyed:

And I can see why Cartoon Network culled the episode entirely: there is too much to edit out.

Kids: just skip that episode. Or what's more, watch the prologue, and ONLY the prologue, PM me, and I'll tell you what you need to know.

More mature individuals: wait until your mind has been sufficiently corrupted. :(

It does make me sick to say it, though, that I've watched it.

By the way, "Law and Lawlessness" is the jump point for an spinoff series called Angel Links. Since I missed Ep. 19 when it was broadcast on Cartoon Network, I didn't even know Angel Links existed until I hit up the Wikipedia articles on Outlaw Star.

Going home this weekend. May the Force be with you all. :P

This looks like a good anime KIE, And from you posting something about it like two times, you must be a big fan! When did it air? cause I have never heard of it in Canada.

Outlaw Star's initial run in Japan was in 1998, and the English dub ran in 2000-2001 thereabouts.

To be honest, I can't remember exactly when, only that I was in college at the time (August 1997 - May 2002).

Outlaw star was awesome. I saw the entire run that Toonami aired... I want to see it again though.

You reminded me of one of my favorite anime shows.

KIE, do you remember those old music videos that they had on Toonami for a while?

They were a big 'ol montage of all different Toonami episodes they had running.

THEY WERE AWESOME!

And, do you remember Tenchi Muyo?

That was cool.

Those music videos, well, "Dreams (Broken Promises)" can be found on a few video-sharing websites.

I know it's on a certain popular one, but it's blocked on BZP (because, obviously, it's a grave wildcard to moderate over here).

I remember Tenchi Muyo. It was quirky.

I remember Big O. Like Outlaw Star, it got me into anime.

I remember Voltron. That was old.

I remember ThunderCats. That was older. :P
