I have been a Bionicle fan for over a decade now. 10 years ago, I joined this site as Gali Nuva Girl. I did a lot of Bionicle fan art growing up, and some of it got posted here.

I love fantasy novels, comic books, and of course anything animated. I sometimes play video games such as World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2, but I don't play as often right now because I'm working on some of my own projects, and one of them is definitely going to be posted.

About Me

I have always loved a good story, especially when that story was combined with thousands of images. I grew up watching all of the Disney and Pixar movies in the 90s and 2000s, After seeing their new releases as soon as I could, I quickly fell in love with characters such as Mulan and the Incredibles, as well as the worlds they inhabited. However, it was not until after discovered Lego's Bionicle series in 2001 that a career in the arts felt within reach. I started to think about the art behind animation, especially because Lego used multiple art styles in their promotional material, including the textured appearance in the comic art of Carlos D'Anda; and the clean, graphical flash animation. I loved the character's design, not only because they were unique, but also because the robotic heroes were an interesting challenge to draw. When Lego released their first CG animated feature about it in 2003, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: create stories and animate them.
I began my college art education at Citrus College, taking courses first in design and developing my skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. As I complete my web design certificate, I am also working towards the Animation associates degree at Mt. San Antonio College, where I am practicing hand drawn, Flash, and 3D animation. In my spare time, I am combining my love of animated movies as well as my own character to create an Internet show, "Cel Shaded Geek," in which an animated character reviews animated movies, short films, and television. I would love to have a career creating animation. While I am most familiar with drawing with a pencil, I find all three media to be equally intriguing. Much like the Lego characters, I enjoy the new challenge of understanding Maya, as well as any other challenge that lies ahead.
