So seriously, guys. Who's better? They've been such classics over the years, with such great moments with wonderful childhood memories and good games. All of it have made these characters gaming icons since the late 80's and early 90's.

Just to see what you guys think I figured I'd post this.

    ...That and I'm bored.

    Open
    Turn the pages of life
    Keep on going
    Until you reach the end

    Birth
    Death
    It doesn’t matter
    When we end

    Countless lives
Full of hate, full of anger
    Full of tears and cries
    Full of love

    But the end result
    Will always be:
    The final page
    Close

Just felt like writing this a few minutes ago. Basically my view of life is, it's a large book full of pages, full of all our feelings, and we can only read it. We create it, and we end it. But it has everything in it...our secrets, our feelings - our lives. But one person will only be able to live their own life. Nobody can read another's book...

Apparently just recently Harry Morgan, known for his roles on M*A*S*H and Dragnet, died of pneumonia. It is sad to see this actor die - he played one of the best roles on M*A*S*H, playing Colonel Sherman T. Potter.

    Still, a tragic loss.

British two-time winner of the Indy 500 Dan Wheldon, 33, died yesterday at the last race of the Indycar season at Las Vegas in a horrific 15 car crash. I suggest people who haven't seen the crash yet shouldn't, because it is a truly terrifying accident. Wheldon's car flew up into the catch-fence and he was seriously injured. Two hours later it was pubilcally announced he was dead.

This is indeed a tragic loss and is a tremendous loss to the racing world.

Well, because it's getting late, I figured I'd give random updates, news, quotes, and mini rants before I get to bed. Seems better to have a wide range of completely spontaneous subjects compiled into one blog entry than spread out into about nine.

So, first, just like to get this out of the way: At my ballet place, my teacher has been telling me/my parents that one of my friends and I are the two most advanced students in the class. Despite the fact it's going to happen anyway because of my age, she's thinking of moving me up to the advanced 12+ class.

As well, this Russian ballet guy is coming the day after my birthday (my birthday is January 21st), and because I'll be 12 at that point, I'd take the advanced master class he's teaching for a day. Now of course the other teachers, including the assistant teacher, will be in this exact class, and my teacher thought it'd be awesome if I were in that class. So, just to see what my best abilities are, I'm going to be taking that class. =D (But unfortunately for me this guy doesn't speak a word of English, so I'm going to have to be working on ballet phrases and anything that he will understand when in communication.)

    So that's update #1.

Now secondly, my brother (Tifosi 94) is having his birthday in six days, which will be five days tomorrow, but still, can't wait for that. My mom and I will be making a chocolate cake, either that or a black forest cake. For my birthday, I'm wishing for the Portal cake - anybody wondering what specific cake-type that is or if anybody has the recipe?

Annd for an entirely random part, I'm busy watching Cheers while typing this. It's interesting to see that there's basically a tie-in with about six other shows because of the producers/creators/directors of Cheers made those other shows. So, about all of them: M*A*S*H, Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, Wings, andone other one I can't remember. All of them are really cool shows. :'D

And again, on an entirely different note, writing has been semi-good. I've been wanting to do a human-Bionicle story lately, but haven't gotten any good ideas for it. Anybody have any practical ideas for a story? I'm wanting to use some of the characters in Danger Close (which, by the way, could use some attention, people), but I just can't think of any specific story background. =/ Also, advertisement for the following stories:

    Wings by Inferna Firesword
    Divided We Fall by Grant-Sud
Rebirth by Me (Self advertisement is pitiful, but what the heck)
    Danger Close by Me

So, there's a small list, but deserves attention. Again, I didn't want to advertisement my own stories, but they do need some attention. Grant's story and my story are both SSC8 entries, so we'd appreciate views on both. Inferna's epic has had reviewers bail on her (No clue who those people are, but get with it, guys), and just about the same with Danger Close. Reviews for all those stories would be great.

And last but not least, ask me stuff. No clue what, but just ask me stuff.

Yeah, this is yet another blog entry with just kind of everything in it, including my commentary on some decrease in discussion on BZP, me talking about Majora's Mask and how annoying Stone Tower is, and me complaining about the weather where I am. Isn't it lovely?

Well, let's first start out with BZP. I've seen a huuuuge drop of actual controversial discussion in some of the forums. I might be kind of wrong on this, but if you want a little bit of proof, go check out GD. It's become more of 'post it here' forum, so I've been wondering if anyone actually cares about the topics or not. Since Bionicle has gone, there's been a decrease in actual interesting discussion.

We used to wonder about what next year's sets will be like, what everybody's thoughts were on summer's line of Bionicle sets. Well, let's say that kind of died when Hero Factory came. Not that I'm bashing HF or anything, but there hasn't been much excitement about it. And, to be honest, I'm getting very exasperated with the countless 'Bring back Bionicle' petitions and clubs. Let's face it: It's not coming back.

Now that that's outta the way, let's move onto my current complaint. BZP's amount of diverse discussion is decreasing, slowly fading away into the background with the rest of the repeatedly posted topics. There mostly boost your post count topics more than anything, instead of actual interesting topics that people can state their minds in.

Anyway, I'm just disappointed with the fact people are almost mindlessly posting the same old topics. Not to offend anybody, but we really need to move on to different and more interesting threads instead of the same old boring things. =/

    [/rantover]

Okay, well that was about 1/3 of this, lol. Anyway, remember how I was talking about Majora's Mask? Buckle up, get ready for a bum-py ride.

So. I'm thanking Nintendo for slowing down time in MM, and am reeeeeally glad you have the Bunny Hood. I'm currently playing MM, just entering the Stone Tower for probably the fifth time in the history of me playing this game, and I'm really hating the Elegy of Emptiness. Oh, why must I use this over a hundred times? >.< And, random observation with this before I keep going: Why does the Link clone look like a girl? o_o

Nonetheless, this temple is just overall really weird, but is still awesome. So many confusing details involved in it. Plus, I am really lost in the temple now, so I have no clue where to go, lol. This is more like a maze than an actual temple. -.-

    [/rant2over]

    And, last but not least, the weather. It decides to be really grey and gloomy outside, which dupes me into believing there might actually be snow, although it's not cold enough. So, maybe flurries - then, it just turns to cold weather, with a good chance of rain, but that doesn't happen either. And tonight, it's really cold and chilly out, with no sight of a moon anywhere, and absolutely noooo chance of snow or rain. Can we have a little bit of something please? ;_;

    [/rant3over]

OK, well that was just about all I wanted to rant and rave about. Today has seemed like a bit of a lousy day, but that might just be in my eyes. Only good thing for me was going outside and actually taking pictures for the fun of it, but probably no chance of them showing up here. Sorry. =(

Anyway, discuss my thoughts on BZP, MM, or even the strange weather nobody is actually experiencing.

Heh, long list, but all of the musicians there are worth giving a try. Just go look up any of their songs, most of them are pretty good. And, I'd like to see how many people notice that just about 80% of those bands are classic rock or just general music from the 60s' to 80s'.

EDIT: I needed to add all those below BTO. Sorry, but those are too awesome to name. =P

I'm only just about to watch it again for the fifth time since I saw it last year, and I swear, there's no way I can't enjoy this movie when I watch it. For those who have seen it: What did you think? For those who haven't seen it: If you like explosions, humor, wit, and Bruce Willis, you'll like it.
  9. Peach 00
So, I decided I'd finally check out the first episode. I only watched about roughly fifteen minutes of it, because I started to skew my attention more towards writing. Anyway, onto my thoughts.

At first, I saw it being more of a feel-goodery type of story, because it being ponies and all the pink colors and whatnot. That aspect I started to pull away from when watching it, but it still keeps it. That may just be because I've only just been introduced into the show, but that's the kind of vibe I first got when watching the beginning.

You can't exactly expect it to be awesome when you first see it, so I wasn't entirely impressed in the first few minutes. The whole evil sister story wasn't exactly the choice of story I would have had, but it's a show for girls around eight years old. So, again, you can't expect it to be great when first watching it. Still, it wasn't like it was stupid right off. It wasn't too bad, but it's not the best cartoon I've ever seen.

When I was a kid, I liked watching shows like The Flinstones and The Jetsons, as well as Cyberchase and Bugs Bunny cartoons (I never saw a lot of them, sadly) because they had a more unique sense of humor than Cartoon Network's cartoons nowadays. Adults could laugh with the kids at some of it because it wasn't stupid cartoons. I found MLP to be similarly amusing to that of old cartoons, but not as good. However, I would prefer it over CN's cartoons any day of the week.

It had an interesting cast of characters. Twilight Sparkle seemed like a bookworm that was well-educated, which none of her friends understood. Of course, friendship is magic (hence the show's name), but things like books and history can be cool in their own way, too. Rainbow Dash wasn't too bad a character, but she seemed to come off as an annoying show-off type of character. Not a bad character, but not my personal favorite, either.

And, I didn't catch the name of the other characters, such as the one with the birds (That's about the time I turned it off because I was paying more attention to writing), and the one that helped Twilight with her hair. Never caught their names - if somebody could give me them, thanks. I'm pretty sure it was Fluttershy that had the birds, not sure who the other pony is...

Still, the characters have strong points and weak points about them. Twilight has an idea of what friendship is, but can't really grasp it with those she knows. Or, that's what it appeared like to me when I watched the beginning. This is kind of a weak point with the character, as well as the stereotype that she does nothing but read books and actually would like to be educated in the finer subjects (in the story). I haven't really seen much of the other (what I consider to be) important characters, so I can't really judge them without either being wrong or right.

With it comes a sense of a fairy tale, because it seems like it will always have a lesson at the end of it. And it seems like that, when you watch it, first thing you're going to assume is that the end is going to have a 'feel-goodery' sense to it because of the name of the show. That obviously comes with the show's name (Friendship is Magic), but you'll assume that it's going to come near the end. Of course, I didn't watch the end (again, busy writing), but I did have a feeling something like that was going to come at one point.

Maybe because it's the first show I get some of these feelings, but it seems like it would probably be carried out through the show's entirety, whether it wasn't supposed to be there or it was.

Now, although I don't feel like it's the best cartoon ever, I was still impressed and entertained by it. It tries to pull away from the same five concepts that have been repeated over and over again. It has a more unique sense to it that I haven't seen cartoons nowadays really have, so it seems good in that way. Of course, it isn't a show I'd watch all the time, but if I wanted to just watch something that I don't watch on a regular basis, I'd probably pick this among a few other shows.

This is the one aspect though: When you watch it, you've got realize that yeah, it is a little girls' show, so you can't expect it to be great. Don't ever have high expectations for anything, otherwise you won't see the good in things. I didn't have huge expectations, but expected it to be like any cartoon would be. I was a little surprised by some of it, but I don't think it's the greatest show ever. It's good, but not the best. But, it definitely comes with it the sense that people should always value friendship, which is probably the best message anything can send.

I need some for Danger Close. The review topic has basically died on the second page, and it has six replies in it, three of them if I'm not mistaken my replies to the measely three reviews in the topic. Guys, I know that I shouldn't force people to read the story, but it'd be nice if people did. I've worked a year on that one story, put in almost over 30,000 words, and 74 pages in it, not to forget eighteen chapters. I've worked hard and long on it, and I'm not about to give it up just because people aren't interested in reading stories on here anymore.

Writers like myself love the criticism, the praise, the simplistic comments - we love it because it reminds us that people really like what we write. It gives us the pleasure of knowing that what we are writing, the emotions we put down in words are read. Even if it's a few words, we know people read our stories.

I don't understand why people don't enjoy looking at the stories the writers put out. The only people reviewing our stories our fellow authors, which is always comforting at most because they can point out the small flaws we have and tell us how to improve on those imperfect portions. But others reviewing tells us other people besides the other authors read our writing.

But I really don't understand this: Why do people care to sit in one topic for over hours, posting the same thing over and over? Now I'm referring to the games in CoT. How is that interesting? Maybe it's a different in interest. Maybe it's because people aren't always interested in writing. But try something new! It can always be a refreshing change.

Maybe this is just me, but I haven't really been motivated considering the constant lack of view on my stories. I write because I enjoy it, and I write so others can have the pleasure of enjoying it, too. When nobody reads it...it disappoints me. It makes things a little more bleak for me, a little less motivating. When nobody reads, why should I write?

Well, maybe this is just my version of a rant about writing. I don't think it's ever been writer's block stopping me at this point, but I think it's just the lack of my stories being viewed.
  11. Peach 00
To get into the holiday spirit, I added a Santa hat to my avatar. I saw so many MLP avatars with them, saw Cholie's antlers, and I just knew I had to do it. Any thoughts?

Plus, I'm a little bored. Entertainment, anybody? =P
  12. Peach 00
And I probably won't be getting it, unless it's for Christmas or my birthday, which are both only a month apart. In exactly two months and one day, it'll be my birthday. In exactly a month and five days, it'll be Christmas.

Buuuut that's beside the point. The more important part is, it's $50. I haven't bought a bunch of other games I've wanted, such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, Portal 2, etc.. Hopefully I'll buy it, but it depends on when I buy it. =/

    I waaaannnnt it. ;_;
  13. Peach 00
Yeah, I figured I'd just check out BZP, lol. But anyway, I'm finding that Super Mario Brothers 3 is highly addictive, busy playing it at the moment on the Wii. I never got to play this on the original SNES, so I figured I'd play it on the Wii.
  14. Peach 00
Well, I finally got some snow, even though it wasn't a lot. It melted right when it hit the ground, but it was just too cool to see it in November. I have never had that pleasure before.

Also plus the Danger Close chapter will have to wait. I might get into the SS contest after all, and I still have time to post the story, since it's all finished. I promised myself that I was going to get as much schoolwork done as I can so I can get in. Anyway, I'm going off for a day or two so I can put the nose to the grindstone on this. Wish me luck! ;D
  15. Peach 00
...I lost it. ;_; My brother got over twenty thousand plus dollars, my other brother got eleven thousand, and I only got a thousand. Trading and side deals aren't the way to go. =P

Annnnd no chapter of DC tonight, I'm really tired at the moment and it is pretty late. I need to wake up early so I can A ) Make breakfast/muffins and B ) Get to school really fast. Even though it's Friday, probably going to have to work late.

Plus, I saw the whole Wikia/Amazon/whatever thing. Copyright infringement much? =/ (Yeah, reallyreally sorry for whoever got hit by that.)
  16. Peach 00
Yeah, my family went out for dinner 'cause it's my brother's birthday, and we went to our favorite restaurant. They had some caviar on one of the dishes, and in a reluctant way I tried it. Not too bad - my mom was like, "How was it?". I simply replied, "I dunno, I ate it too fast before I could savor it." XD Still, interesting, but I probably still won't understand why so many people can rave that it's the best thing they've ever had. It's good, but not the best thing in the world.

Also plus listening to Hotel California by The Eagles is always awesome. I've had that and Ladies and Gentlemen, Roll the Dice by Kasabian stuck in my head for the past few days. =3
  17. Peach 00
Yeah guys, you should be expecting a Halloween story on the 31st. I've already plotted it out, and I'm currently writing it. It's not going to be long, so many of you might be glad to hear that. (That means you, Zarayna. )

Either way, when it comes, I hope you guys will enjoy it. ^.^
  18. Peach 00
There is a really good chance I'll be entering, but I'm still trying to get approval from my parents and whatnot. So if I enter, it'll be about a few days/week from now, maybe. But who else is entering the contest? =)

(Side Question: If one person chooses the name of the story I want before me, do I have to change the name of my story?)
  19. Peach 00
Yup, still have it stuck in my head. I definitely haven't lost that lovin' feelin' for this song.

But besides that, I'm counting down to Christmas (Currently 4 days, 5 hours and 0 minutes) and trying to come up with fillers for Danger Close's final chapters. I know the ending, I just need to find the action for before the ending. =/ And really sorry to those who needed the reviews from SYC, I'm not going to be able to review them. Maybe as a Christmas present for you guys I'll review them. =)
  20. Peach 00
    Necklace holder
4 pairs of jeans (I grow fast)
    2 shirts
    Beading wire
Pink strands of pearls (not real, obviously)
Strand of pink and silver beads

So, in other words, I made out like a bandit.
  21. Peach 00
I've decided I'd have a little fun before my blog went away. For the last day, anybody can submit stories/art/MOCs and I'll be glad to check them out when possible. There are ten slots, and any extras I'll keep track of and try to review when I can.

First slot is filled, and nine more to be filled! Remember, anything is welcome, even CoT topics. If all the slots are filled, you can also PM me for a topic link and I will still be willing to review it.

EDIT: Eight slots left now. Remember, there's still plenty of slots, and I will do any comics, stories, art, MOCs that are asked to be reviewed. =)
  22. Peach 00
Anybody remember that entry? Yeah, I'm restarting it for more people to see. All the once slots filled were cleared because I reviewed all the MOCs and stories, except for one slot. Anyway, here's how it works to those who don't know it: You submit any form of story, art, MOC, comics, or whatever you need reviewed and I'll review. There are ten slots (nine currently), and when they're filled up, requests won't be taken. However, I can still take reviews through PMs, but I might take longer with the review. Here's the list:

    1. Chi Keeper Cho Voxumo-Chan The Switch Mirror (AWAITING REVIEW)
    2. Xinlo: Spirit of Sonics Destiny Quest (AWAITING REVIEW)

Well, request anything. There are plenty of slots to fill.

(Also, on another note, another chapter of Danger Close is up. Not a new one, or not that I can remember. The last one that I have on the chapter index I haven't written in full yet. Anyway, link.)
