    I found my old sketchbook! Most of the drawings you've probably seen already in my past topics, but there are are two drawings that you haven't seen that I like that I'm now going to show you!

    I don't know how long ago I drew those. In that Roodaka one, I was experimenting with drawing emotions. And I think I drew the Rahkshi one sometime after Greg F. released the wild kraata chart.

    Earlier tonight I was looking through our old photos because I was bored. Many of the photos were taken before I was born, but most of them brought back memories. a while later my whole family ended up looking through photos, laughing at 80's hair-do's and remembering times gone past.
     
    While looking through these, I found pictures of Paris and Venice my great aunt and uncle took when they were on a vacation there. I thought some of them were pretty cool, so I scanned them for you to see.

    The Trip

    The past week was... I don't know how to descrbe it, um... busy, boring, fun and tireing. We actually went to Vriginia, (I thought it was Tennessee.) We were right on the boarder of the two states though. We went for my great aunt and uncle's 50th aniversery. We stayed at a Holiday Inn to sleep, and durring the day we were at our cousin's house. They're my mom's cousins and their children, so my 2nd & 3rd cousins. Most of them are older than me, and they way they occasionally acted felt okward, but usualy it was fun just to watch them talk to each other. It was like watching TV. And before we left we lit a bonfire!

    One Week Absence

    Well, I'm all packed up! Tomorrow morning I'm leaving to Tennessee for a family reunion type thing. I'll be gone for about a week.
     
    Hopefully We'll get our new van before we leave. They were supposed to bring it from Missouri yesterday, but drove on through to in Texas.
     
    Also, the temperature here has dropped dramatically. Yesterday was in the 80's, today was in the 60's! Hooray for cooler weather! And it's not humid anymore!

    Wow, a lot's happened in the last few days.
     
    Thursday we went to look for a new car, just to look. We weren't planning on buying one. We were looking for one because our current car is falling apart. The air conditioning doesn't work, it just fits our family (7), but it's cramped. And last year the front wheel fell off while my mom was driving somewhere. (Fortunately she didn't get hurt.) Also more recently, last July, the brakes gave out for a bit when we were leaving the park after the fireworks show.
     
    It's just plain dangerous.
     
    Anyway, Thursday we went to a car dealership to look around and my dad talked with this guy and things happened and we ordered a red 12 passenger van! Someone's driving it from some other state and it will be here Monday! I can't wait!
     
    Now I'm typing this at midnight, all pumped with music with the urge to do something fun!
     
    ...
     
    And now I'm tired. :wakeup2:
     
    Oh yeah, today (or actually yesterday, the 26th) we went to Kohls to get swimsuits for this trip we're going on, I think next Friday or Saturday. We're going to Tennessee I think, to meet some relatives I've never met before, except 3 of them. At first I wasn't too excited about it, but now I'm looking forward to the experience.

    I was on the Free the Band site last night to enter the sweepstakes, clicked on the image and thought, "wouldn't it be nice to win an instant win prize." And to my shock and totally surprized eyes, I WON!

    Grasshopper!

    There was this brght green grasshopper on our porch and I took a few pictures. This one turned out the best.
     

     
    That is an actual photo of the grasshopper. No Photoshop effects or enhancements. I only used Photoshop to resize and crop it. For a larger version click here.
     
    I know watermarks are totally anoying, but I don't want anyone stealing that photo.

    The good news is I got a bag of Goldfish crackers!
     
    The better news is I'm finally in an air-conditioned room! (I was out for a bit, and our car's AC is busted)
     
    The bad news is I can't work at Sharper Image because I'm not 18 yet.
     
    The horrible news is my baby sister is throwing up, but has no fever. (She's 10 months old)
    UPDATE: My sister is feeling much better! She proably just had an upset stomach. Thanks for the prayers Turakii!

    There's this mall that's being built near where I live and it opens in October. Their having this "Job Fair" where you can pick up pamphlets, application forms, etc. and choose where you want to work at the mall. I was going to apply to work in Sharper Image and when they saw me, the seemed excited that I was going to apply. (My mom said it was my look. ) Unfortunately, the manager said they were looking for someone 18 or older. I'm 16. I might make sure if I actually can't apply tomorrow. the application form doesn't say you have to be 18. Hopefully they'll change their mind.
     
    After that, I came up to a Starbucks booth, and the guy there seemed excited to meet me too. Apparently have this techno guy coffee house thing going on. So I got an application form for that too. Even though I hate coffee, I'm still considering it.
     
    I also got an application form for the Malco theater that'll be there, but I'm not as excited about that. The guy behind the counter (most likely the manager) seemed... inexplicably strange. But I still think it'll be fun to work at a theater. Free movies! (possibly)
     
    Well, I'll see what happens. Tomorrow's the last day of the "Fair," so, that's when I need to turn in the forms.
     
    I really want to work at Sharper Image!

    I made this a few days ago from just experimenting and fooling around in Photoshop. I think it turned out pretty good! I made this planet in Photoshop, then inserted it into a picture of a city skyline, made some color corrections and voilà!

    This afternoon my family and I visited some sort of cavern. It was cool see all those strange rock formations. And there were may ancient fossils of ocean creatures. That was cool. The tour wasn't what I expected. Our guide was a girl who was probably between 14 and 15 years old. It was a very small, almost run-down place. We were expecting something a little more arousing. But it's a privately owned cavern, so...

    Anyway, on our way there there was a sun shower. But not any normal sun shower. This one poured and poured while it was still sunny! That was totally refreshing, since our car's AC is broken. Then the rain stopped before we got there. On our way home however, it was completely cloudy and poured even harder! I think it's still raining.

    In other news... My website got totally "pimp'd!" I completely changed the layout and added some CSS features I've recently learned. Go check it out!

    I'm going to "Pimp my Blog," so if everything is all jumbled up and stuff, don't worry and complain and all that suff that breaks out from strong-willed people who insist on their way of life. I'm working on it.
     
    Ok, I pretty much finished. But there's this anoying space of empty pixel in the navigation list, and it's not from any of the images. (I checked.) Oh well, maybe it's just a glitch.
