  1. if i had to take a bionicle set, then it would have to be my matoro mahri.he's just so nostalgic to me.i remember making forts for him out of spare cardboard boxes, and throwing him off of my roof multiple times...if it could be a hero factory set, it would be stormer 3.0 for the same reason/

  2. the last time i opened a bionicle set was around july of 2011, i think.i'd found a rahaga koalus(?), unopened, with a somewhat beat-up box, at a flea market my dad took me to.i opened it at the chinese buffet, and just HUFFED the danish air.i'm pretty sure i got at least 3 weird looks for huffing a battered cardboard box in the middle of a restaurant.

  3. Once, sort of. I was just looking for some Collectible Minifigures, and I found a shelf with a CM bag, but it was ripped open and a couple accessories were laying around. The actual minifigure was gone. That's pretty much it, but I always keep a lookout for stuff like this.

that always makes me mad.once, i was at TRU to get a beyblade, and lo and behold, 3 opened series 4 packets hidden behind a display.scientist, werewolf and frankenstein is i remember correctlytook them up to the counter, explained where i found them, then asked if i could but them because i wasn't too god at packet-feeling back then.(2 crash test dummies proves it)the dude behind the register said i couldn't :(and at my local B&N, there's this one really nice employee who always comes up to me and asks which figure i'm looking for.and she always says how it's good that i only feel the packets, because they often find opened packs :(
  4. this one is funny.so a few years back, when i was 7, i was building hahli mahri at my grandma's house.so i'm looking for a Y-joint, and i can;t find it. i start to panic, and then something funny happens.i look at the back of hahli's left leg.there it is, wedged in there.i got it out with one of her wings, and then promptly put the whole set together :)

  5. I get OCD over a set having the right pieces. Which is why MOCing upsets me, as that means there is a possibility a set will never be 100% complete again as if I rebuild it, there's no guarantee it will contain the pieces it was originally packaged with.

that's always a problem with me too..
  6. oh, and also, just earlier today, i put pohatu phantoka on my dresser, rotors in the air, in an 'about to take off' pose. so, i go to get some leftover lasagna, and when i come back, his rotors were outstretched in front of him, he had moved back about 4 or 5 inches, and half of my minifigs were on the floor.then again, my energetic kitten was in there, but that still doesn't explain the rotors...

  7. I use them as target practice for whenever I need to throw something. It relieves stress (OK, except for that time I forgot my iruini's shield was in his set. The launcher never worked again).

what did you throw, dude?must've been something like a boulder, kualus' launcher has worked through water, mud, and even freezing
  8. Finally, moving my LEGO sets to and from college over and over again has made me extremely attentive to how much space something can be compressed into when packing it up with minimal disassembly.

happened to me a while ago, what with movingall my HF sets were easy, btut hen came lego island, this huge 2-table mass of baseplates and minifigs and structures. i called it a town :Peverything survived the movers in the big cardboard box, but sadly, the ancient ruins had to be rebuilt, but they're even better now!
  9. also, i seem to have a syndrome i've coined "reassembly wandering syndrome" it's when i'm rebuilding a set, and i just wander off into an MOC in the middle.it's actually most likely to happen with any set with inika torsos, i'm not that much of a technic-based MOCer

  10. "It'll be there next time" Syndrome. No, that great set that you decided to postpone buying will never appear in that store again. Man, how this one annoys me. XD~B~

*eye twitch*MINIFIGSughi think you all know what i mean
  11. which effects have you noticed with your LEGO sets?mine are:piece A, piece B syndrome: searching for piece B, you find tons of piece A, but piece B is nowhere to be found. when you turn around and look for piece A, you find tons of piece B, but no piece A.and also a common "what could have been" syndrome:you get one set, then you get bored with it and wish you's gotten the other one you saw. (rattlecopter and cannibal escape)post yours here!EDIT: also, minifig series syndrome: when series 2 was released, people thought it was the best series yet. when series 3 was released, people thought it was the best. continue with series 4, 5, 6 and 7.

  12. phantoka pohatu...terrible...just terriblebut i hated the phankuta when they came out, and now i want them :(EDIT: reminded of berix...great blue flame, but the joint connecters snapped....and not just hair-line crack, but SNAP! right off the arms AND legsbroke all 4 limbs and the head, feet got some sort of weird unwashable goo on them, and the only things that are OK are the flame, tube and torso, and the only thing that's MINT is the torso

  13. Reading through this topic, I have to agree some prototypes deserved to be made into an actual set, while others are kinda... meh.Speaking of deserving a set, what is this awesome mecha-thingie? : http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=3715157

I think it's a Rahaga. Yeah, not too much resemblance there.
It's obviously something from 2005. Might be a Rahaga, indeed.
looking at the image name, "prahaga", it's pretty obvious that it is a prototype rahaga
  14. i also lost one of my clone pilot helmets.couldn't find it.moving day.the movers were hauling out our couch.i saw something drop out of the bottom and bounce away under the porch stairs.i only saw a split-second of the piece, but i'm sure it was it.

  15. i only use hero factory canisters, but here:1) shelf space-killers2) i actually store the figures in them3) places to store spare beyblade parts4) places to hide video games that my friend wants to borrow(i say that i lost it/traded it in)5) targets for my midak training(i actually train people in the art of zamor)6) escape pods in brickfilms7) minifig boats

  16. well, i just had waspix's...uhh...the 4 arm connecter thingie in my hand. i put it on the floor, reach for it, and it's not there.i give up on the MOC, and go to the kitchen to get some milk. guess what i stepped on?i think one of my cats did it :P
