  1. Excellent moc Oblivion, your style has gotten a lot more refined since I last seen your stuff.I like the head a lot,it really makes the whole gila monster/snake thing work. The back is another thing I am really fond of,particularly the roundness of the shoulders/upperback really appeals to me.I think you did well on giving Gila Monstrosity an organic feel,so well done.I wasn't sure how I felt about the proportions at first, but I ended up really liking the unique look it gives the moc.Good luck in the contest,I bet you'll do really well!

  2. That is an impressive moc! The smooth flow and general porpotions of the moc make it look like a realustic character, rather than an assembly of parts (I hope I'm making sense). The layering of the colors is also superb. The hat is very well done,it definitely give it the feel you were looking for.The desciption was definitely fun and has as much personality as the moc itself.Even if I was overly picky I don't think I could find anything to criticize about this moc to be honest, well done!

  3. This is one of the best revamps of Breeze I have seen, great job.The part usage is very clever.I also like how it stays very true to the sets original feel, yet takes it to another level.Aside from the lack of armor/lime parts in the back I have no complaints.Keep it up!

  4. SumikiPosted Feb 16 2012 - 02:49 PMI'm kind of having a hard time making out this MOC's details, but I shall endeavor to do my best. Black MOCs are very hard to photograph in general.I love the bulk and circular, claw-y motif you have here. Shoulder, claws, chest ... they all work. Is that a Pakari Nuva I see on the chest? If so, that's some nice part usage.I like the use of the two-clawed feet on the arms, but the open socket on the end is a little annoying. It's not a bit deal, though. I also suggest, like Fsnorglepuff, to acquire some black tubes and replace the silver ones - but you might also want to include a little more silver here and there, just to see how it looks. I like the all-black look, though, and wouldn't advocate seriously modifying it, as the MOC looks like it deserves its name. The only things that I think need improvement are the lower arms, which look like cop-outs next to the bu...

Thanks, that is a Pakari Nuva on the chest.I definitely plan to swap those tubes out for black sometime.I tried adding bits of silver, personally I thought it detracted from the feel of the MOC (I probably just wasn't doing it right though). The lower arms are one area of the MOC I was experimenting with,it didn't come out as well as I hoped.Your definitely right about it needing fixed. Thanks again Sumiki. :D
  5. White Kaukaus do not exist, unless you're talking about either a clear one or a Kaukau Nuva.

I was talking about the clear one,I have a rather nasty habit of referring to it as white.

If you could get your hands on a light-blue European misprint Kaukau, that could look pretty sweet on this MOC. The last time I checked, there were a few of them bouncing around on BrickLink.

Really,I'll defintely check BrickLink. That has always been my "dream mask" for this MOC.Thanks again, you have been very helpful. :D
  6. FsnorglepuffPosted Feb 16 2012 - 06:06 AMWow, great MOC! Its size is impressive, and its design is great too. The whole look of it is superb, and there are only a couple things to improve upon; first, perhaps you could add more silver or take it all away (tubes come in black). Also, the tail could possibly be made with more ligaments, maybe HF limbs and armor. Otherwise, excellent MOC truly deserving of its name.a_peace.png

Thank you! I do wish I could switch the tubes for black, but alas I do not have any,nor do I have the means of purchasing any right now (ok that last part is not entirely true,I'm just trying to save money).I don't have much HF,but I am sure I could do something for that. Thanks again. ^_^
  7. Toa GenrisPosted Feb 14 2012 - 08:29 PMThis looks really good, but the one thing is the shoulders seem to be pretty far back on his torso. Other than that, this is an amazing moc. Love the color scheme by the way! 8/10

Thanks a lot! I Personally I like the shoulders like that, but that's just me. :P

Renegade PhantomPosted Feb 15 2012 - 09:13 PMThe colour scheme looks solid, with the white and black layered well overall. The gear pieces on the legs seem a bit out of place, as do the gray hands (black or white would be better, IMO).The tubing work is awesome, and gives off the impression that energy is flowing around the MOC's body. The mask choice (visor) also suits this MOC. The trans blue pieces scattered around the MOC look good, as you have enough of them to make them look in place, and the colours don't clash. The torso is also really cool and looks really strong. The sword on his back is good too, although it blocks me from getting a good back view...Great job! KUTGW!

To be honest,I was originally going to take the moc in a different direction, which involved gear. The only reason those gears are still there is a mix of oversight and laziness on my part.I would love to swap the grey for black, but I don't have any.White,to me seemed out of place (made my already shaky color layering worse). Thanks, the tubing is one of my favorite parts of this moc.I'll might get a picture up without the sword, thanks again. :D

SumikiPosted Feb 15 2012 - 09:32 PMI'm pretty impressed. This is a really nice and overall solid MOC.The colors of the head shield are a tiny bit irksome, just because the trans-ice and the trans-light blue used to accent the rest of the body clash. There isn't much that can be done with it, unless you wanted to switch out the mask for ... a white Miru Nuva, or something. (That wouldn't look too bad, actually ...)The color layering seems to flip from white-on-black to black-on-white on both the upper arms and the cuffs, and a little on the lower legs. I'd work on that - and maybe try to bulk the upper arms just a tiny bit, just because they look peaked next to the bulk of the body.I don't know what the gears are doing on the lower legs. They're nowhere else to be found on the body, so they end up looking strange and out of place. If they don't serve some valuable, hidden purpose, then I'd remove them. Whatever gap may be left over can be filled with appropriate, and more flowing, parts.

Thanks man.Personally,I haven't found a mask that fits the feel I am looking for, that fits the colors (though I might go back to a black miru, which is what I used to use for him). The color layering,to me is my foremost problem with this moc, something I hope to fix in the future. Thanks agian for all the comments and great advice!
  8. First I will say this is a very good MOC overall. The build is very suiting of him.The dark colors really do give him a nice look, even if you had to paint some parts to get it.My only complaint personally is that I'd perfer to see custom work on the upper arms. The parts your using now seem I a bit out of place to me,custom work, done right would lend a very nice flow to the moc.(Keep in mind though, that complaint is mostly a stylistic thing.I perfer for a MOC to have such a flow, that you barely notice the parts that make the model, thus making the MOC it's self seem more like a more solid model.)Overall this is a truly good work and I hope to see more from you.

  9. Next time I do a head weapon I should probably make sure it has movable jaws because that would be awesome.

I would also love the see that pulled off. :biggrin:Good job on this moc!The colors mesh well (though it wouldn't hurt to even out the color scheme) and the armor is very solid.I see a lot of interesting part usage here, keep trying new things!
  10. I'm back after a long time off.I have been really busy with studying for college(among other things).I haven't had much time to make MOCs,but I've got a couple to show.First up is Nightmare, one of my best MOCs(very, very loosely inspired by shockwave from the latest transformer movie).f54513c9-11a9-441f-96a3-fdb692547989.jpghttp://www.brickshel...ghtmare/010.jpghttp://www.brickshel...ghtmare/045.jpghttp://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5376653http://www.brickshel...ghtmare/011.jpghttp://www.brickshel...ghtmare/043.jpgYour comments and criticism are appreciated. :)

  11. I must say,you have gotten even better. Chaos Dragon:Excellent work here, the whole model is great.I do have to say the wings in particular are brilliant.Terra Tank:Great work, the orange works well with the grey.Scavenge:I really love the look of this one, very creative, smooth and all around awesome. It would make a really cute pet robot.Deity of the Temple:Again really well constructed, very creepy.I like the touch of orange inside the ribcage, really makes it seem like it's burning from the inside out.Aperture Science "Testing Assistant":This one is great as well, the feet are really impressive. I could go on,but I am begining to feel like a broken record. As always great work, keep on MOCing.
