The popularity around this set and Bionicle in general guarantees that this will make it into the top 5 for the first round.  I'd be extremely surprised if it isn't the first set to reach full crowdfunding.

Pretty sad though that Disney made the Top 10 when they're guilty of stealing fan art and original fan designed ships for their Star Wars comics.  Although it technically is Marvel Comics that's doing the stealing, they're owned by Disney.

So it begins. 

From the start of Lego Ideas, I always suspected that the active userbase would grow to a point where the required 10,000 votes would become fairly easy to achieve for any decently-designed project.

I would imagine the number of 10k projects per review period is only going to keep increasing as the userbase continues to grow.

I wonder how Lego will respond if this keeps happening. 

Love this build, and love the frame used even more!

If I ever find my old tub of Bionicle parts, I'm gonna try making a "bignicle" myself!
