  1. This is looking spectacular so far, in my humble opinion. You're doing something I have always wanted to do---in a slightly different way, granted,---and it's looking so promising! I have always been enchanted by the idea of making the Matoran less machine and a little more "lifelike", having them leave to the stars to begin afresh...But I've yet to get the guts and present such a story to anyone. Moving on from that: seriously, I am stoked just seeing this. :D I hope things go smoothly for you so we can see this happen next year. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this!

  2. I have to say this is a wonderful representation of Breez! Especially because I had the same disappointment when finding her set in store: she looks as beef as any other male HF hero...But this. Oooh: THIS is how should she have been! XD I love the details you added to her arms, back, head-- everywhere! And I am certainly impressed by the fact it was all done on paper. (as I all my art is terrible unless I have my magical computer to draw on) Also, as said; her colors are delicious. I've personally always favored that lime kiwi green hue. And then most importantly; she looks so very like a girl. Well done indeed! :)And it here I usually put my critiquing, but I honestly can't find anything to critique... So, I'll just say it again: well done indeed!Hope to see more art from you. :)

  3. Ah, that might be because I made Jaxa's chest too small this time/too hidden behind her arm, (Actually, looking at it, I think I simply made them too small. XD) and the fact so much of their bodies are covered. Believe me, I DO have a magor distention between my matoran and their gender when they are drawn "naturally", and it's quite easy to tell who's a male, and who's a female. :P But thanks for pointing that out!But I must ask: are Jaxa's darker eyelashes hard to see in this one? Besides making her eyes rounder, I deliberately try to draw her with thicker lashes...

  4. So I've finally got the guts to put up another piece of art. This time, it actually looks good.

:) Though before I have you look at it, and for the sake of getting to know these two matorans' particular masks, I would like (<- Big fat lier) to show you two older pictures. As I am lazy and do not want to draw up-to-date references for you...

First: One of my first pictures of

Jaxa.Second: One of my first pictures of Malin.(Please excuse the horrible, improper lighting. I know it's hard to see detail...And just in case: Malin CAN be a guy's name, too...)

Now after taking in such horrors, perhaps

this will ease your nerves somewhat.(btw, this picture is BIG: 1000 x 1000 px...May take a little time to load.)

Hehe. I know: it probably looks awfuly...Different because I put clothes on matoran.- AND because of the way I draw matoran, overall. :3 I was randomly inspired to create this while listening to an OC remixed Mario song...I just couldn't resist giving it a shot.

Any helpful critiquing is truly apprciated.

    ;)~Nova

  5. Hm, I'd have to cast my personal opinion on your "first pitch". I totally am for all Matoran elements to be both genders (seriously; it just makes sense) and simply having more females characters overall. That was something I always found annoying when Lego first began the Bionicle series.
