Hi! I used to frequent this board around 2012ish when I was around 10/11 and it was my first online community, and I'm heading to uni in September and I wanna reminisce and catch up  I wonder if anyone remembers me? I used to go helryx280, I remember at the time that I was the youngest active member of the community I think? Crazy to see some of you guys are still around!

 

dear gamefreak, please put all evolutionary stones in some sort of shop in the future, because your RNG based system of rewards from rematches is NOT effective or reliable. i don't care how expensive the stones are, what currency they use (though BP makes the most sense), just do it, or at least guarantee a few stones in game.

I sincerely endorse this idea. Seriously, even the three basic stones can't be bought, and that was in the first games! Plus anything that saves me from having to do Super Training is good as well.

You could always use the secret base partners that give you random stones. Not great, and you do get a lot of everstones, but its the best right now.

Bit of backstory, I got Smash Bros, and my wii was too dusty to read it. My birthday party was in a few days so i couldnt order a dvd lens cleaner. I tried the youtube tutorials which everyone said worked, by they didnt. I tried blowing into the back of wii, and now my wii wont suck in disks. I'm nervous to put in any disks, incase i never get them back. Please Help.

On the topic of Pit, I beat Uprising a few days ago! My weapon was the burst blade, which feels right using it. 

Mind  you, I wish it was longer. 25 levels isn't enough.

Once, when I was 5/6 I had a dream that I was in my Reception classroom, then one of the kids, got a kinfe, and cut out a cubiod out their clones head, that ended up being an alien, like the ones in argos adverts.

Guys I need some help with Tomb Raider for PlayStation One. It wont load properly. Spyro, HTBAMillonaire , Demo One work, but TR wont load past the end of the first cutscene. Also, GTA2 wont work. Help?

Guys, I think theres a pumpkaboo event going on right now for the entirety of October! 

 

So I finally managed to get a controller+correct tv cables for my PS1, but I haven't got a memory card. What are some good games to get for it? Are there any Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts for PS1?  Also, I believe there's FF3 for NDS, is it worth getting? Also, should I bother completing Spyro the Dragon?

 

It's a lot easier to play all (or most) of these on a PS3 or Vita. I'm currently replaying Legend of Mana, a fantastic little RPG that predates the Final Fantasy series, developed by SquareSoft (Before they became SquareEnix) as well. And yeah, the Spyro series (particularly Spyro: Year of the Dragon) are really good. I'd imagine it's really hard to come by a memory card these days, which might affect your ability to play through any of those games.

If I'm not mistaken, the PS2 is also backwards-compatible with games and such.

 

 

Don't worry, I got a memory card for 50p yesterday.

Also, why are PS2 games so common but PS1 games so hard to find?

Alright thanks guys, now I'll have to look for a PS1 memory card. And yeah, I'll see if they have FFI and FFII at my local carboot. Also, where I bought the controller, the guy was selling a mega drive. Should I save up for it and get it? I mean, I dont think theres enough room on the tv but...

Guys, you know how the Japenese Gold cart had a dark blue front cover and Silver had dark grey? Is the back of my Japan Gold supposed to be dark grey and my silver dark blue? Its just a minor annoyance that google images doesn't show the back, thats all.

Oh and in ORAS, should I choose Treecko or Mudkip? I like both of them, which is the problem. :|

Whos to bet that for the Doctor Who 100th Annversairy, Paul McGann would exactly the same.

Guys for my (future) ORAS competitive team, should I use Bronzong? According to Smogon, it has amazing defence and sp.defence and a very nice attack and a nice slow speed, so I think it would work well with my 1spd umbreon. Thoughts?

So Mega Altaria, Lopunny, and Salamence (and maybe one more? possible) are now things. Salamence looks kinda really disappointing, but Altaria and Lopunny are pretty cool. Altaria becomes our first Dragon/Fairy, and Lopunny gains the Fighting type along with S######. (edit: it's the ability that lets normal moves hit ghosts come on bzp.) So that's pretty awesome.

 

It looks like there will be an event for a shiny Beldum with its Mega Stone, which is...cool, I guess. Frankly, I think the shiny Mega manages to look even worse than the normal Mega. So. Pretty bad. I guess regular shiny Metagross is as cool as ever, though.

 

Anyway I'm gonna plan for a singles team for AS.

I think a good portion of them are on Netflix or you could torrent them. If not that, check your local library to see if they have any of the classic serials on DVD. Or if you really want to just order the DVDs on Amazon but that's the hardest option on your wallet.

 

Noooooo I was about to watch the Classic series D: I only got a chance to finish the first couple Hartnell stories. Netflix has like, a couple stories from a couple of the classic doctors but they are faaaar from having "a good portion" unfortunately :c I'm sure there are plenty of not very legal ways to find 'em online

 

Youtube has a bit of the series, really only the first 2 doctors though.

 

it also has parts of sixth doctor serials, but i think part 3 of timelash and a part from the doctors is down, and the last 4 parts of Trial arn't there. And Trial of a Timelord is flimed off a TV. No joke.
