  1. This is beautiful! I've loved all of your revamps! This one more than others, the crab-like shape Everything!

A pair of monsterous Rahi skittered out of two side passageways. they were immense, broad and squat but surprisingly fast. Their powerful arms ended in dangerous looking pincers.

Although this was the final Rahi in the set, it was actually the first I began work on, and it's completion sparked a desire in me to make the other four.

But wait...there's more. Next week, you guys will get to see some shots with all five of my Rahi Revamps battling the Toa, plus a bonus that you won't wanna miss.

By chance could this bonus be the Rahi-Nui? There is only a description on the wiki, I'd love to see one done tastefully based on that.

I suppose I could try a Rahi Nui using all the pieces from these, but the bonus is actually something else. ;)

    Bahrag? Probably the Bahrag. ;)

  2.

I agree with Ballom, it's too large for a set but that detail... it's amazing. Also, you mentioned The Avengers' Helicarrier might that be?

Ever seen the Avenger movie? It's that giant ship that turns invisable. http://technabob.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/lego-marvel-avengers-helicarrier-by-ysomt-2-620x348.jpg

Oh yes I have, multiple times in fact., but I was asking where the LEGO Ideas Helicarrier was. :P

  3. Does anyone else think the white piece above the legs and across the lower torso area looks a lot like a diaper?

No... Let's forget about how it looks like that and focus on how the torso is made up of a single mask. :P

Wow, this is really nice! I love the arms and legs- very unique and cool looking. Haha- cool.

Thank you! I like him as well.

The foot-staff is pretty cool, and I like how you designed the arms and legs. Tiny, but still articulate.

A little bit...I think of them more as old-man-pants though :P

Thanks! I see them like that too, but he IS hunch back so... :P

  4. Saraba has been wandering the icy, frozen plains of Ko-Koto looking for rest.

The last memory Saraba has of civilization is when Ekimu made him his Staff for his journey.

This really only took me about 3 (ish) minutes to make, I took a break in making my entry to r/Bionicle lego's MoC contest, and this is what I made during it.

I've always wanted to make a figure out of a mask, and here it is! :D

And yes, you could say Saraba is... Le forever alone :P

  5. I wouldn't call myself a funny topic closer/mover/moderator by any means. Yet somehow, even if I post only "Moving to Fan-Created Media," I'll check back later to see the post with one like/upvote, maybe two, maybe more.

That's because we fear appreciate your work. :P

  6. This is a really nice looking gearbox, the only thing that it needs is to change the Axle 3 with stud piece with a Axle 4 with stop and use two of this piece. Then it would work a lot better.

Thanks! That WOULD be nice, but I don't have that piece, (At least not in a MoC or set) and what would I do with the "Technic Bush"?

    Nice alternative gearbox design.

One key feature this lacks that the actual gearbox has is the ability to raise it up to raise the shoulder level (as Kopaka and Lewa do). You could fix that by turning the "T" shaped Technic half beams upside down, and adding a Technic beam behind it (extending up so that the center gear can connect to it). This still wouldn't match the form factor of the new gearbox, but it'd come closer in terms of where it could be connected to a model.

That head connection is wack as heck as well, but I can't think of a much better way to connect a Mata head to a ball joint while keeping the proportions, so I guess whatever works. :notsure:

Here's a gearbox design (from this MOC)that, if you add some 8-tooth gears and switch out the 3-length axles with 4-length+stop axles and bushings, works really well. I used a modified version of it on my Deflecto MOC (a MOC which I haven't posted here but soon will.) I think the design will work with the 12-tooth gears replacing the knob gears.

EDIT: Also, the Mata head connection isn't that bad, in my opinion. It works with official Lego rubberbands, and so technically doesn't put the parts under pressure. I've used it myself, and it works pretty well. Credit to Jangbricks, because he invented it.

If only I had more than 2 of those gears....

    Thanks for finding the video.

EDIT: What is the piece that the gearboxes use as gears? I've looked at Bricklink but to no avail.

You mean the gears used in the new sets? They're the trusty old Technic Knob Wheel (as Bricklink calls it), dating back to the year 1998 and first appearing in Bionicle way back in 2002 (in the Boxor).

Thank you! I forgot about the 2 on Black Phantom so I'll salvage those. :) Expect a new design when I finish sorting my pieces by color.

  7. Dawww. He's so cute! Love the expressive eyes.

    Thank you!

It's the spitting image of a Goomba! I love it! It's seriously way too cute. I especially like the eyebrows and the eyes.

    =)

    Thanks!

I wish I had Mixel eyes.

I really like this MOC, it looks very accurate and the face is very expressive. Much better than my sanic.  How does he look from the back?

Thanks!  I posted this in the gallery, here ya go!

EDIT: Thanks all for the positive feedback! I'm astounded by how much upvotes this has gotten. :)
