I heard an interesting theory that this is set in the chasm left behind when Mata Nui was awakened.

Regardless, the art looks super cool, and I'm excited to see where it leads (if anywhere)!

The giant hole left in Aqua Magna when Mata Nui stood up.

 

Impossible theory. Aqua Magna and Bota Magna no longer exist as of Mata Nui's reformation of Spherus Magna, post-Teridax. While it sounds amazing, this "Chasm" would only have existed until said reformation fused the two moons back with Bara Magna, thus erasing anything left behind on Aqua Magna.

Technically, didn’t only half of Aqua Magna get smashed into Bara Magna?

 

Aqua Magna and Bota Magna were formed from all the water and plantlife of Spherus Magna, leaving only Bara Magna behind. When Mata Nui reformed Spherus Magna, what was once part of the whole, returned to where it came from. Meaning... the moons no longer exist.

Thanks for the review! Man I'm loving Kopaka's new look. He's possibly my favorite of the new sets simply because he looks like the Kopaka of old, but much upgraded. However... as she was my first set back in '01, Gali will always be my G.A.L. (i)! lol

That girl cosplaying as Wild Style looks pretty hot.

Oh and Bionicle's return = Epic Winnnnnnn! I love that Mask of Creation, the fact that they actually brought back Makuta, (though sadly no matoran, Mata Nui or Turaga. R.I.P. Nokama) I like this new Ekimu guy, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what direction they take the story. (Inb4 Makuta Awakens, steals the Mask of Creation and assumes the mantle of Ekimu... then we discover Okoto is actually Mata Nui's giant robotic face! )

Yeah well, I'm Canadian, so it'll cost me $233.76 including taxes, for all but the spider, who I don't give a about. I'll just be waiting for Makuta's inevitable return to set form. Hopefully we'll get an Ekimu with his M

I wonder if Okoto is a location on Spherus Magna.

 

That'd be pretty neat, but since the only part of SM that contains oceans is Aqua Magna (as far as I know), and we've explored all of that, I doubt that the island of Okoto is on the same planet. It's looking more like they'll be throwing ten years of story out the window, which is a shame IMO as I grew up with and enjoyed it.

Dude, Spherus Magna is the reformation of Aqua, Bota and Bara Magna, Aqua Magna as a water planetoid no longer exists. Spherus Magna on the other hand, is now much like Earth, containing all 6 elemental enviroments. It is not unreasonable to speculate that the new Island of "Okoto" is a location that didn't exist before the Reformation. Also, to all you people saying it should be called "Okoto Nui" remember, there are islands that were named single words, like Daxia, Artahka and Destral. Okoto fits with the idea that Mata Nui the island is long gone, and new locations are now ripe for exploration, both by the Toa, as well as ourselves.
