How'd you create Tahu's bent leg?

I took a photo of Tahu's right leg separately from the rest of his body, and then carefully cut it out in Photoshop. From there, I simply had to cut out the upper part of the leg and arrange it in the bent position.

 

Were the Tohunga's arms done in the same way?

This is actually fairly good advice to me, it's just that the pictures are bad.

Very realistic, the rendering is very good too. I love the use of the claw-paw piece for a chest, quite original. 

I wonder how the animators will translate the masks into animation? 2015's animation characters, their masks especially looked quite nice compared to the set masks, which in my opinion are eh.

Eh, I honestly like the Takadox head. It's original building, that's for sure.
