~ Toa Of Shadows ~

Nothing, really. I guess my newest addition to my collection, Toa Hagah Norik I got for $10 with canister 100% complete is my most rarest set. 

It's a very simple difference.

I still believe Onua should have been the Toa/Master of Metals. That would have solved a lot of problems.

That could've been cool, but many fans would've be disappointed in LEGO for changing that 'cause nostalgia.

What a great MOC! I applaud you sir. Though the legs on him and that random Metru shoulder piece is a little bit... Meh

This one is definitely my favourite ever since I saw him. It's just that all of the protectors look so fat. Other than that I love the review.

I don't mind losing, since we still got the other 14 karat gold masks. But I am planning my model. He will be a black and yellow dude. I got more stuff to him, but I know people will start copying...

This is a little late, several years too late, but I was doing a few examinations of the Bionicle wiki, and I was looking intently on Ignika's article. 

 I've just remembered that during 2001, I came up with a "toa of life" as a character. I designed it based on Tahu but with a "DNA Sword", which would have been a sword shaped like a double helix. I also chose it's color as orange/yellow I think. 

So in summary, this sounds silly now, but depending on the definitions, I totally called that one. 

  Anyone recall any times you "called it"?

Called it when someone would die a dramatic death in '07. More of a think on the spot kinda thing though.

The Turaga were most useless. All they did was stand around and run their mouths like the geezers they are. We were always told the Turaga still had some elemental powers, but we certainly never saw them use it.

They taught the Toa Mata everything there was that they knew. The Toa Mata would be idiots if not for the Turaga. The seventh Toa might've even never existed!

Very clever indeed.

What if that Kini looking thing is what summons the Toa?

What if a protector has amnesia from that like Takua?

So do you guys think that the Toa Kaita will make a return? Will you MOC them if they don't?

And has anyone made a decent MOC of Akamai or Wairuha from the 08 Toa Nuva?

Well, it's pretty clear we will be getting a similar contest with the 14 karat gold masks like in 2001. I guess to make it more simply they are putting 7 up for the contest. I mean, what else will they do with these masks? I hope it's not a stupid give away...

Do you guys think the whole "Unity, Duty, Destiny" slogan and it's symbol will be in the new universe? I mean, it was basically the identity of Bionicle in a sense and it wouldn't be confusing or screw up Lego's new approach to marketing

Looks like Bionicle.com is getting an update, probably a small one, though. Although I hope for an animation, but that's like a million to one though.UPDATE!: On the cached website, the characters bios don't load, instead it comes up with everything but the characters image or the bio. I'm guessing their tidying the bios since they were very messy...UPDATE 2!: Now it directs to a Cannot be found LEGO page. Lego is doing something behind those curtains...UPDATE 3!: The regular version of the site works now, but the character bios don't appear anymore...

 

Same with me. I just see the pictures and no text. 

I guess this means that they're updating, but I could be wrong.

Wow. That must have took awhile. Time to add it to my collection checklist!

The Bionicle website bios have been updated, and some very upsetting news is here.

The Masters' masks aren't like "Pakari - mask of strength" but it's a lot simpler, since now it's like "Mask of Earth".

Oh well, R.I.P(ish) Kanohi...

Those masks were 14 karat gold!? I smell a contest coming up... I mean remember the Gold Hau back in '01? Looks like we are getting a return of contests, and I LOVE them! Speaking of which, I won an Emmet Award statuette when the Emmet Awards were on.

Ooh, and there's another golden mask we haven't seen yet? Wonder which one it might be. Mask of Control, perhaps? 8D

Or it could be LOSSs mask, I think that might seem logical.

I was looking forward to another Hau mask and try and win it, but we get Toa instead At least its a saving of $100 though, but what are the chances of winning?

Well, we have gotten a billion images for 2015 sets... No HF! 

I mean, LEGO is not even trying hard to make HF successful. Probably because they were working on Bionicle at the time. Oh well. HF had a good-ish run   Lets all hope LEGO nails Bionicle it its new run!
