I found the Protectors of Water & Earth at Target today!! There were 2 of each and I bought 1 of each. They were between some boxes of Star Wars and Chima. I've never seen an early released set before the DC Braniac Attack a couple minutes before I saw the Bionicle sets. I checked in Wal-Mart but its toy supply was as bad as ever. I was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper excited when I spotted them!!! I was with my dad and I looked for him for a minute o show him the Braniac set, but I couldn't find him. He went to the LEGO aisle a few seconds after I saw them and he thought it was funny how excited I was. I wasn't a fan during Generation 1, but I still felt "Hau" great it was to see new Bionicle sets on the shelves after all this time. I guess seeing the new sets in stores isn't too common as of now so this feels pretty special. I definitely did not expect to see these, so I was planning on ordering Tahu,Gali, Pohatu, and maybe some of their Protectors. I'll still order some on 1-1-15, but it felt amazing to buy and build some on 12-22-14! EDIT: apparently the minor (to me) C-word is censored here, so I replaced the 6 number signs with "bad" when describing Wal-Mart

I found The Protector of Water and The Protector of Earth at Target today! There were two each and I bought one of each. I really love the sets!. I only got into Bionicle a couple of months ago but I'm so excited that it's back. I wanted to get Tahu first, but I wouldn't pass up this opportunity. This was also the first time I saw sets on shelves before they're officially released (they also had the DC Braniac Attack set). I like the multi-stud shooters, but I already lost one of the PoW's but there are extras). I like the boxes, they make up for the lack of canisters to me. The PoW's torso looks a bit too bulky to me because of the armor piece. I'm probably going to get Onua sooner than I expected to go with the Protector. I still would like to get the Toa in my elemental order (Ta, Ga, Po, Onu, Le, Ko).

I'll probably get a few sets at once, I'll definitely build Tahu first though. I'd like to get Gali, Pohatu, and the Protector of Fire at the same time. That's pricey though, $60.

Well, when I was 5 or 6 or so and my mom would take my sister and me to our neighbor's house. The boy that lived there had a set that I think was Matau Hordika. I thought it was pretty cool. I was aware of Bionicle but I didn't think much of it. Last summer I bought a bin of stuff at a yard sale since it had a lot of LEGO parts, mostly technic. It had what I think was Kopaka Mata, but I don't know where it is anymore. I heard a lot about Bionicle online since there's a lot of hype for 2015. I was really interested about it and heard the story was really good. I did quite a bit of research and watched a lot of videos about it in the past month or so. I recently bought a Tahu Mata with canister and silver and gold Hau's on eBay (without instructions or ball on chest). Before that I watched the first 2 movies and played MNOG. I also played what has been released of the fan-made MNOG 1.5. I just placed a Bricklink order for Gali, Pohatu, Onua, Vakama, Jala, Huki, Tahnok, Tahnok Va, Pahrak Va, some masks and parts to build a 2001 style Takua. I'm going to read the book series soon and I'm excited to go through the first 10 years (plus continued story) and am excited for 2015!

Thanks for pointing out that thread to me, Chasm . I posted about it there after I saw your post.
I love the new pieces in the sets. I don't buy many constraction sets, I have Tahu, Vakama, Gali, Onua Jala, Huki, & Tahnok, and some Ninjago sets that use some CCBS parts (Ultra Dragon, Golden Dragon, Kai's Mech, & Cole's Mech). So I'm not extremely familiar with the CCBS bone and shell system. I like the head, masks, PoW's armor, etc. I must have been pretty lucky today(even though it's past midnight my time), especially since the stores closest to me only put new sets on the shelves a couple months after their initial release. I like the gear on the PoE's back, since it's reminiscent of the Toa Mata/Nuva and Metru amaong other classic sets. I don't mind the Protectors having the same masks since their builds are unique. It sure will be even more exciting 3-8 business days after I order more on January first or later!
