  1. A TV show would be a better format. As I see it, there's a few different ideal directions to take, depending on whether or not we want to work with the Toa Mata again. Either one works as metafiction, allowing for a story that gets down to why we tell stories and what they do for society. I think that's appropriate, given the emphasis G1 put on stories and legends.

    1. A traditional story like G1 in a more fleshed-out world with a new take on the dynamic between the Toa and Matoran, and the nature of the Makuta's existence and goals. This is better for a high fantasy feel akin to the line's original direction, and it's a chance to really go into how Matoran mythology works and how much of it is real. It's also better for exploring other sapient races and what their myths are, and how they relate to Matoran myths and the true nature of the universe. Umarak could work really well here as a folkloric boogeyman, especially if he and Irnakk are the same being. The Makuta and similar beings could be like gods--enigmatic and esoteric, but also absurdly powerful. Being the mythology nut I am, I'm sort of inclined toward this one.

    2. A more cyberpunk iteration of the classic Bionicle narrative in a Metru-Nui-like setting based on the theme's direction in later years. This works best with new versions of the Toa Metru or with new characters. In a more advanced society, it might be cool to toy with the idea of Toa being sort of like superheroes who have to lead double lives and hide their identities. Rather than going for a mythological feel in and of itself, it ties into the notion of superheroes as modern mythology--Superman, Captain America, and Thor are today's versions of Hercules, Maoi, and...well, Thor. Good Guy could also make a cameo on the cover of a comic book. I got introduced to Bionicle in '04, so I may or may not have some nostalgia backing this one.

    3. A setting rather like Bara Magna that sits evenly between sci-fi and fantasy where the last 2 ideas lean more heavily to one side. With this, as perhaps with idea #2, we can have a world that's largely forgotten stories and myths or simply dismissed them as obsolete; but, where Cyberbonk 2077 has this as a facet of technological advancement, Mad Mata attributes it to societal decline. This version of Bionicle could act as a true spiritual successor to G1, thematically picking up where it left off without having all the baggage of being a sequel series. It might be nice to help us salty geewunners get some closure.

EDIT: DANGNABBIT, IT'S A NECRO! Ugh, anyway, here's one last pitch: Bionicle, but in space.

    ...I'm serious.

About tv show: not much people in future will be watch a tv.

  2. Hello fellas, in my personal and speculative bionicle cinematic universe´s head canon, is the next:

    Phase 1

    • 2001´s-2002´s lore (tetralogy)
    • 2003´s lore (the mask of light single movie)
    • 2004´s-200´5 (a prequel saga)
    • Ignition trilogy:
    • Island of Doom (two movies)
    • Creeps of the deep (two movies)
    • Destiny war (a pentalogy)
    Phase 2 (interlude)

the core war saga, propably a trilogy showing, the shattering of Spherus Magna and the creation of Mata Nui and the first years of Bara Magna

    Phase 3

    • Bara Magna saga part 1
    • Reign of Darkness Trilogy
    • Bara Magna Saga part 2
    • The new Mata Nui adventures
    Phase 4 (Journey´s end tetralogy)
    • Journey´s end: The Makuta´s coming
    • Journey´s end: Civil War (The conclution of Reign of Darkness)
    • Journey´s end: The final Battle
    • Journey´s end: Rebirth
Phase 5: The great Beigns saga (Conclution of the saga)

    Spin off´s

    Lihkan´s adventures

    Tales of the matoran universe

    Dark Hunters war

    Matoran´s Civil War

The league of the six kingdoms

    Makuta´s Rebelion (probably a trilogy)

In my personal opinion, this project would be a cinematographic option, not a Netflix exclusive, no the Lego movie or MCU humor. The designs, in my personal opinion, the better way to create a unique style to this idea is respect the original lego designs.

Very interesting, but i think lego needs to make good spinoff movies(like film about Lihkan). But it,s too expensive to make this amount of films.

    <p>

A tv series would be the best option but my wishes are.

    • Its only G1
    • Not restricted to subscriptions like Netflix, make it as accessible as possible for all audiences
    • No Lego Movie humor, none of it. Only the established humor from the books and comics.
    • Not in the art style of miramax or the jourmey to one (never liked miramax and the journey to one had rather grainy cgi models)
    • Cover all most of the relevant books and years and web serials to make a cohesive story

That true about no Lmovie humor, but Bionicle universe story is complex , and it's will be hard to tell all story in one film

About "Lego Movie"-like humor: This The Bionicle movie must be a epic adventure. But with good plot.

About Netflix: Yes a lot of people don't have a netflix subscribe , but why not?

I think Lego is not corporation, which know how to make good bionicle film . In my vision Another film-making company can buy a Lego Bionicle franchise and can be able to do something awesome.

The original 3 Bionicle films were fine; and while TLM is a bit more light-hearted than what Bionicle needs, if a future Bionicle film got the same talent behind it, it could be glorious.
What you mean for "same talent behind it"? Taleneted director or script writter? The main target of my dream bio film , is tell a good story.
Pretty much, yeah. Sorta like how they put Travis Knight behind Bumblebee instead of He Who Shall Not Be Named, and that allowed Bumblebee to be a legitimately good film. Heck, all Lego really needs to do is make sure they don't make another Ninjago movie, which we know they're capable of doing because TLM and TLBM are perfectly solid films. And yeah, like I said, they're a lot more comedy-focused than a Bionicle film needs to be, but the principle still applies and I'd rather have a funny Bionicle movie with a good plot than an edgy one with whatever the heck happened to TLR.
Stop TLR is Toll like receptors?

  6. I feel where you're coming from so much, IMO they overcomplicated the story in 2004 with the genre shift. Where you getting these, bricklink? Bricklink is a solid place to start, aside from that, it seems now every year someone at Brickfair VA is selling classic bionicle for cheep (a guy I know was selling Boxor in box for $30)

Sorry for a stupid question , but what is IMO?
