Just thought I'd help spread the word, -Tilius- has a poll going on if you would want a Matoran Universe/Mata Nui robot set, broken down to price, system/technic piece ratio, and how tall you would want it to be.

Poll is here

After hearing a guard in whiterun say "I used to be an adventurer like you, but I took an arrow to the knee" for the thousandth time, I FUS RO DAH'd him down three flights of stairs, then proceeded to shoot him in the knee with some steel arrows until he collapsed on one knee, surrendering. Moral of the story: Never complain around the Dovakiin.

BZPower has now been around for 7 years, And I have been a member for just over five of them. In this blog entry I'll be reflecting on my early days here, talk about now.

When I joined: When I first joined BZPower, I was rather new to the whole internet thing, and the only website I was a member of was the Lego Club (Man, has that sure changed). I had been a guest for a few months, spending time reading the news posts every day. Once I finally discovered the forums (23-December 03) , I joined the website, blissfully unaware that rules were rules on the internet. Yes I had been a part of the Lego Club for a while, but I only joined for the games ). So naturally, once I finally figured out how to reply to a topic, (Which was posted by someone who had sent in for a replacement orange Vahi, to discover that he recieved the last such kanohi in stock.) I posted a spammy response... Twice. That was when I discovered the proto-meter. I spent many years missing one proto point until recently, but more on that later.

A month later, Hapori Dume took over BZPower for a day. Not realizing that it was April Fools day, I actually thought that the site had changed, then logged off for a while, simply because I wasn't as active as I am now.

I was never a very active member until after I discovered Rayg's Halo kit. I spent a lot of time messing around with spritesheets learning how to use them. I even went as far as to make a very bad flash animation using them. Once Rayg stopped making sprites, I joined Voho in the Innerrayg Halo Kit Continuation Project. I spent a considerable time recoloring spritesheets for people to use.

When the project finally died out, I tried my hand at a few BBC contests, losing all of them in the first round. I always seemed to be put up against some of the best MoCist in BZPower every time.

I eventually started to move out of CoT and started making the bulk of my posts in General Discussion, which I still do.

I posted an epic about my Bionicle alter ego: Toa Attei, which I have built two MoCs of.

The Present: Well, I now have my proto meter back where it was when I first joined, thanks to an offer from Toys R Us and Black Six. I'm not involved with any big projects, and am just your average member of BZPower.

I'll end this entry with a sample of my artistic talents that aren't seen enough here on BZPower, something that may or may not change.

My day didn't exactly get off to a great start. Around 5 AM I woke up unable to breath because I was choking on a big glob of mucus. I was fine an hour later. My guess it that it was a side effect of the H1N1 vaccine spray I had yesterday.

Later, I go in to work, and was asked to run cords down from the ceiling to run power to some christmas trees we were putting up on display. That went smoothly, until I plugged the last tree in, and only the lights in the middles worked So I had to go through and check every single light to see where the dead ones were. I found the bottom light easily, but went through all of the top ones, not finding a single dead bulb.

Then I noticed the two wires sticking out the top of the tree, with two metal clip looking things sticking out, (the lights were still plugged in at this point), and in my infinite wisdom, I grabbed them both at the same time. Needless to say, it was a shocking experience. The funny part is, for the split second I was touching both the wires, I saw the lights come on.

Yeah... suffocation and electrocution on the same day. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go set myself on fire.

I spent a sizable portion of my day today doing some MoCing, and I am very pleased with the results. First, the old MoC, Toa Attei, has undergone it's final round of modifications. I am officially done working on it, considering its not really much of a self moc anymore since I changed my name.

I'll be posting Toa Attei in a topic in the near future, but it won't be the main attraction of the topic. Toa Attei will appear alongside... something else. Something big. I hope you like silver.

I really hope you like silver...

Also, yesterday, I built a Dark Mirror version (Revamp) of Kopaka Mata. Expect to see that soon...

Haven't got around to posting about this here, but seeing as 70% of my things are now packed in cardboard boxes, I think its time. Come Monday, I'll be moving out of my parents house for the first time ever into an apartment in the next town over. Needless to say, aside from my phone, I won't have much access to the internet for an unknown amount of time. So consider this one of my last few blog posts.

In other news, some Canadian Teens launched a Lego Minifig into space with their cell phone recording the entire thing. The footage is pretty awesome.
I'm also starting to notice some of the new Hero Factory sets start to pop up in non-Toys R Us stores so keep an eye out.

I'm trying to think of what else to type...

Lets see...

um...

Ice Cubes! I got a http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Minifigure-Ice-Cube-Tray-852771 using my Lego VIP money I had. The Iced Minifigs are the size of their plastic counterparts, so they melt faster than standard ice cubes. Still fun though.

Not much left to say here, so I'm going adventuring in Skyrim while trying to keep any pointy arrow shaped objects well away from my knee.

I was clearing out my emails inbox when I stumbled across something I had forgotten about. Archived PMs.

I don't know how many people know about this, or even use it, but with the loss of server information, I think this merits a blog entry.

This handy little feature archives your Personal Messages and sends them to you in an email.

To create an archive of your Personal Messages:

1: Open up your control panel.

2: In the Messenger block at the top left you see all of your options concerning your PMs. Click on "Archive Messages", its the one that is second from the bottom.

3: You are then given options for what and how to archive your messages. The options are:

Archive from which folder? This one allows you to choose if you want to back up your inbox, outbox, or both folders.
Archive messages received in the last This allows you to choose what to back up to the point in time you specify.
Number of messages to archive Pretty self-explanatory. You can choose to back up anywhere from 5 to 50 messages at a time.
Delete messages after archiving? Selecting yes deletes the messages you are archiving. No leaves them in your inbox/outbox.
Compile datafile as You have two choices for how you want to receive the archived messages: An importable MS Excel data file, or an HTML page. I recommend saving as an HTML page.

You should then receive an Email to the address you have tied to you BZP account. Open it up, and save the attached file to your computer, or just keep it in your email until you need it.

So I was in WalMart today, and happened to find Axalara marked down to $32. Since I hadn't bought the set yet because of the price, I could not let the opportunity pass me by. So I bought ti.

Wow.

I have not spent that much time building a set since I got Muaka and Kane Ra back in 2001. I spent about 2 hours building it. It was a great set to build. While the functions aren't as great as the ones in the early years, they are still a neat little feature that makes the build a whole lot more fun.

Have there really been 54 BBC contests? Wow.

Anyway, check out the BBC Contest 54 Topic if you haven't already. Anything goes in this one, as long as there's no system. I can't wait to see what people come up with. Deadline is June 16.

My entry is almost finished, I just need to go back to it in a few days to check to see what small changes need to be made and refine it a little.

And no, its not a humanoid.

I finally got around to entering My entry in the latest BBC contest.

I've also managed to get a hold of the Mata Nui set (Two actually, I wanted the Keetorange pieces. And a spare Ignika). Despite a few flaws in the set's proportions, its a great set. Get it if you can.

*I just realized that this is my third blog entry in a row to have BBC 54 in the title.
