    And so today marks the end of yet another summer, so many things came and went over the past three months it seems like it was all just yesterday.

    Car Wash!

    Wow yesterday was fun, and tiring.
     
    I woke up at 8:00 a.m. no big deal considering i've been waking up at like 6:40 a.m for the past two weeks. ( band camp ) Well after concluding band camp on Friday, which ended in an awesome water balloon fight, we had a car wash. It was fun I got there we placed soap in the 10 buckets we had, and soaked the sponges in them. Then me and some of my friends went down to the intersection corner at the end of the school and waved the sign showing our car wash while the rest of the band waited for the cars to arrive. We got TONS of cars it was pretty awesome. and fun, when done with the sign shift we traded with four other people and went back to the school which was jammed packed with cars to wash, we washed really fast and I think we made a lot of money for our band program. we finished around 3:15, and then I went home.
     
    After than I was SUPER tired and fell asleep like three times during the day.
     
    wow, tiring. O.o
     
    ok, ya today, was pretty boring I got some school stuf and I still need to buy some more notebooks though, and schools three days away ><

    And So It Begins...

    Band Camp, 10 hours one word, Ouch. ><
     
    Yesterday we were only there for 5 hours so it wasn't that bad, but today, it was HOT!
     
    Blech, marching in hot sun is not fun, especially marching for 5 hours, the other 5 we spend playing.
     
    Sigh, I'm sore all in my ankles, sunburnt on my forehead and nose ( which stings ), and I'm very tired.
     
    Well, thats band camp for ya, and I'm loving it all! ^^ hehe.
     
    We found out what our show is going to be, it's awesome! Not Across the Universe, it's actually a jazz-ish piece that was made for the CSUN marching band and hasn't been played since then, and that was like 10 years ago! So It's going to be awesome! Of course there are so many trumpet solos, mostly improv so I won't be trying for those, and the range is sick, but there is this one military type solo that I will be all over to win.
     
     
    Thats pretty much it, now I'm going to relax a bit and then practice some trumpet then go to bed to do it all over again tomorrow ><

    Band, Foward March!

    Finally the moment I've been waiting for since it ended last summer, BAND CAMP! Woo!
     
    Yes normally you'd be thinking, Band Camp? Why would you be excited for that? Isn't it just 10 hours of marching around in the blazing hot sun get yelled at by your drum major to do drills and exercises?
     
    My answer to you is, yes. But! I also am no longer a freshman and have more authority, over people ( other freshman ).
    I also get to see all my friends who I haven't gotten to hang out with in forever! I'm excited, it's so exhilarating when you get called to attention from your drum major, and all the inside jokes you come up with in your section. haha! Well I can't wait. It starts at 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, and then for the rest of the two weeks it's form 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the first half is marching in sun, then lunch for a half hour, and the rest is learning music and sectionals. I can't wait!
     
     
    Last year we played Songs of Steve Wonder, this year it Across the Universe.

    Commentary Is Fail

    I've been watching the Olympics again, like many others I assume. The one thing that ticks me off the most is the commentators. They have absolutely no idea what they're talking about, they think they can predict what's going to happen or how good they're going to do. They don't, and when they start talking down on a competitor that just bugs me and annoys me. I really wish there was an option to mute out commentary, they are just so lame.
     
    With that I have decided,
     
     
    = FAIL
     
     
    Oh and if I have to hear about how great Michel Phelps is I will go insane ><
     
    Other than that the Olympics are pretty cool. ( I really want to watch fencing )

    Olympic Fanfare

    Wow.
     
    Well the opening ceremony was pretty awesome, I really wish I was there, now that would have been spectacular. The architecture was incredible, the birds nest, the swimming area, and all the others is just jaw dropping to look at. I've been awaiting to see the finished products of these buildings since last year when they did an interview of Beijing on Discovery channel. The finished product did not disappoint.
     
    Now the ceremony was pretty interesting, many dazzling fireworks and various acts, one of my favorites was the scroll writing. I especially enjoyed the light drummers. ^^
     
    It did get rather annoying listing to those commentators though, I really never like it when people commentate things because they ramble on about stuff not necessary to listen to during important events like this. I know there has been some issues in China recently, but I really would have appreciated it if they would have left that out during the ceremonies and let China be respected for this great honor.
     
    Anyway enough politics, back to the ceremonies.
     
    I was very disappointed to have missed the torch lighting but from what herd it was really cool. I stopped watching during the flag run, until USA was up and then continued after that. Once that was done I stopped watching and just drew, but I have to say overall from what I saw, it was spectacular!
     
    The music was intense as well, I mean listing to Buglers Dream/Olympic Fanfare every 10 minuets, is always awesome. ^^

    Shocking Wet

    Well today was pretty boring.
     
    I'll explain it in simple steps. Wake up, Draw, Read, Eat, Draw, Eat, Draw, Trumpet, Draw, Blog.
     
    Yup.
     
    Is there really anything else to say.
     
    Oh! yes actually there is. Yesterday I learned from my dad that in Brazil, they don't have water heaters. So how do they get hot water when they take showers you ask? Well they have this device, called a "shock-box" that is at the end of the faucet that shoots straight electric current to the water right before water comes out of it, to warm it up, but if your really tall, like my dad said his friend was when he lived there, you might just shock yourself when you go to shampoo your hair, isn't that a wake up call. I guess people form Brazil are really short O.o
    Go figure.

    Take It Up An Octave!

    Alrighty today...
     
     
    Hm, well I was supposed to wake up a 8:00 a.m. for a 10:00 orthodontist appointment, but I kind of slept in about 45 minuets, and took a fast shower then we left for it. It took about an hour, because they had to re put on a back bracket that fell off (not my fault) and then add a chain to the top row of my teeth, which feel really tight at the moment, and its hard to eat things. Although was not complaining about the cake I just had for Dessert. ^^
     
    Anyway, after the Ortho appointment, I went home and awaited my girlfriend to pick me up to take me to band ( due to my moms leg injury.) We got there and everything went find, my favorite two pieces we are playing are, James bond, and the Incredibles, which me and the other trumpet take up an octave which is very fun ( and loud ^^). The concert is tomorrow, and I think it should be good, unfortunately no solos this time... oh well can't win em' all.
     
    I got home and my mom went to get her support boot for her leg, which she will be able to wear tomorrow after she gets the stitches out. I stayed and watched my sister with my Grandma. She gave me her old, laptop, which in my poinion is new since it's still a Sony Vaio, and works fine, but she got a new one so she gave me her old one. ^^ I'm happy!
     
    After that my mom came home, and right when she did, my Girlfriend cut her hand on glass and hat to be taken to the hospital, luckily she's fine and only need some bandages, but I still feel bad, wow this summer has been the summer of injuries for me, honestly...
     
    Ok well thats all for my amazing adventures tonight.

    Wow, I'll sum up today.
     
    Woke up, took a shower.
     
    Ate Lunch, Pizza Rolls
     
    Watched Bug's Life, Great Pixar movie, amazing music.
     
    Went to band, played three solos.
     
    Went home, Water Balloon fight, intense.
     
    Made a comic.

    Entry 37 
    Well today was all over the place.
     
    I wake up at 4 a.m. to a throbbing headache, I got to the bathroom and put a soaking cold wet towel on my head hoping it will help. ( it didn't ) So I took two IB Prophin's and forced myself to sleep, how I don't know, I just realized I had fallen asleep after waking up at 9 a.m in the morning with my head hurting a little still.
     
    Anyway, took a shower, and ate an early lunch at 11, then was taken over to my girlfriends house so I could give her brother a Lesson. I did, he did really well, and I gave him a new piece of music to sight read which he did really well on, but he still needs to work on rhythm.
     
    Oh well, but during the lesson, he bent down from the couch to grab a piece of music that fell off the stand and while I was waiting for him to get it, I started to stare off out the window. Then I realized we were moving back and forth and I thought at first someone was moving the couch for some random reason. O.o then I realized it was an earthquake, I herd my girlfriend excitedly say "Earthquake!" and I started to laugh, and then looked over at her brother and we just laughed and waited for it to be over. It was kind of a weird earthquake, just lagging, it was just a slow shaking and it eventually got boring.
     
    Although, it wasn't boring for the people at the epicenter, I feel bad for them, the news finally confirmed later that it was a 5.4, and not 5.8, felt like a 2.7 from here.
     
    Anyway then I finished Doks comic entry, and drew some more.

    Dark Knight

    Well today I saw the Dark Knight, finally! ><
     
    Time to review and remember, this is my OPINION, so please bear with me.
     

    » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Well the movie started out O-K, funny things here and there, I was totally expecting, the guy from the bank, for his jaw to be ripped out of his socket, but the string came off and the bomb thing and just ignited laughing gas. I thought this was very clever. 
    Then the rest of the movie was pretty good, although I think they could have done some more with the Joker, I did not like how they just ended with him dangling from a building.
     
    As for two face, GREAT job with him, but I wanted More! I was really disappointed that they built up this great character and killed him off so fast, he wasn't even much of a villain for Batman, he was more of a villain for Gordon. Oh well I guess thats the way it has to be, but overall, Joker Perfect character, Heath Ledger, may he rest in peace, was phenomenal.
    Bravo.
     
    The fight scenes however were very hard to follow since it was in dark, but that night vision sonar imagery, was fantastic.
     
    The movie was good, but my favorite super hero is still Iron-Man.
     
    4 out of 5 stars.
     
    I'm tired I think I will go to bed now...

    Today was pretty good, but there are two main topics I want to address soon. ( but more on that later. )
     
    First, I want to say that getting out of the house is very nice when you've been cooped up at home for the past week, and the only time you get to get out is for 1 hour and play an instrument to then go back home and do the the same thing the next day.( You can obviously tell i've been doing this lately.) Well not today, my friends I actually got to go over to my girlfriends house, we played Ping-Pong with her brother, and talked about stuff too, then I helped her mom get her cars oil change, and was dropped off at my house to once again go back to routine, but at least I got out of the house for some sort of free time. I still feel really bad for my mom though, she's been cooped up in the house on crutches this entire week, but luckily the doctor said she should be getting the stitches out of her leg next Friday and a fast recovery should follow.
     
    Now to address my two topics.
