Signups for my new game Wall of History will remain open for 72 hours!

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. The inhabitants of Stoeia-Nui are learning this lesson the hard way as they struggle to endure an attack by the legendary demon Makuta, just as their ancestors did ten thousand years ago. There does exist a record of Makuta’s previous attack, but no one can read the language it is written in, leaving any hints that might lie within just beyond their reach. The villages have sent a team of Chroniclers to search out the Spirit of Knowledge and beg her aid, but it won’t be quite that easy.

Each round players will be given a prompt and write a very short story. A winner will be judged and given “the power of Legend” for a brief time, enabling them to translate one portion of the Wall of History and learn helpful clues that will allow them to keep their villages safe. But will the Chroniclers do the right thing and share the knowledge with their fellows, or will they attempt to mislead the others so that their village fares better than the rest?

Only time will tell if Makuta’s shadow of lies can be pulled away.

And the words of the Skull Grinder continued to echo in the Protector’s mind:

“Even a fool can see why you lowlanders are destined to fall before us. Put plainly, you fight only if you need to. You think battle is something that finds you, something you can wait out and endure. Even when raising a weapon you think it a shield or a tool. All your villages, your very position, ‘Protector’, is based on this delusion.

“My people are different. For us, fighting is like breathing. Our lineage is a combat record, a family tree whose roots entangle and tear asunder whomever we can call an enemy. We find battle, and then we conquer it. The will to fight, the unstoppable thirst for blood, is what our souls are made of. Should it not be obvious? You inherently peaceful villagers can never truly win a war with we of the City. For us, war is essential. War is everything.

    “War is in our bones.”

The fight going on in Bleach right now is exhausting nonsense. This villain’s power is literally “Come back stronger each time you die”, so no matter how thoroughly they destroy him, he stands back up and it just keeps dragging on.

It’s like trying to argue with a Genwunner. No matter how definitively you disprove their argument, they keep insisting it is true no matter what, and it never ends.

(Wow, I actually made that relevant!)

…But seriously. Can’t we make, like, an Official Genwunner Topic, and limit all baseless complaints and hate leveled against G2 to that topic alone? I like that solution. Can we try that?

You scroll through the Library Forum and see a short story entitled “Bionicle Agni Kai Fight.”

You think “Agni kai? Oh, those firebending duels from Avatar? It’d be awesome to see two Toa of Fire have one of those!”

Upon clicking the link, you discover a tale of Agni and Kai having an argument.

From there you’ll probably experience either regret, anger, or perhaps a feeling of “Oh, that was clever!”

(Fingers crossed it’s the last one.)

But first, Bioni-Lords Book 3: Kako has officially started! Since it takes place 20 years before Book 1 and has a whole new cast of main characters, it's a great place for newcomers to start reading!
    ...Please? D:

Anyway, I figured I'd put up my idea for a sequel to BIONICLE: The Forgotten Bond and see what you guys think of it. I even threw together a banner.

So here's the basics: after the events of Forgotten Bond, the official Bionicle timeline resumed and progressed all the way through the Karda Nui arc. However, when Mata Nui lands on Bara Magna, things take a new turn--it seems that Legolord did more than just scatter the Cosmic Bricks, and a new group of villains wants to use this to their advantage...
As you can tell by the banner, this story will bring Galidor, Knights' Kingdom II, Exo-Force, and Ben 10 Alien Force into the timeline. Yes, I know, people hate Galidor and the Ben 10 Alien Force sets, but I'm going through with it. I'm only bringing in one character (you can guess who) from Ben 10, and the only Omnitirix alien forms he'll be using are the ones that were released as sets--heck, we probably won't even visit his world. As for Galidor, I'm only planning to use two characters, the main character's ship, and probably not the setting (although I haven't entirely decided). To pinpoint the timelines: this will be after the events of the Galidor TV series, during the second years of Knights' Kingdom and Exo-Force, and at some undisclosed point in the Ben 10 Alien Force series (since the exact time doesn't really matter and...I'm lazy).
Originally, I was only going to involve these four 'Lost Brother' lines and the Bara Magna 2009 story, but now I think I'm going to bring back Slizers, RoboRiders, and the Hero Factory. The Slizers would have reached Millennia's home planet by now, giving us a view of that setting and the new characters there, plus we'd get to see Granite, Amazon, Electro, and Torch in action. The RoboRiders haven't gone through any massive events, but the villagers did build a complete second team of RoboRiders to back-up the first; their Elements are Wind, Water, Psionics, Thunder, Metal, and Gravity (the first four will definitely be female, haven't decided on genders for the last two). Hero Factory has played through it's 2.0 story, but my version is a tad bit different--it's longer and involves more confrontations with the corrupted mining robots, and since I seriously despise the name "Fire Villains", I refer to them as the "Kerosene Demons." There's also a bit more to why they went rogue (and how Fire Lord got the blueprints to Furno's Dual Fire Shooter), but that's something that I'd want to referene in Lost Brothers, which will take place during the 3.0 storyline. Main alterations would include additional technology/powers for the heroes, possibly replacing Quatros with Bota Magna (to ease the melding of stories), and maybe designing 3.0 forms for Breez (beetle themed), Surge (monkey themed), and Evo (armadillo themed).
I also want to work in some references to a few other Lego lines and some real people who are associated with Lego, but nothing too major with these since I'm focusing on the buildable action figures.

I've tried to limit how much brainstorming I do until I get a feeling for how this story would be received. If no one's going to read it, I want to know before I do too much work on it! Questions, comments, and suggestions are greatly appreciated...in fact, I'm begging for them! D: Please give me some feedback to work with!!

“Well, Wi-Fi’s officially off, guess I’ll go with my sister to Starbucks to see how much I made last week and see what’s going on on the internet. Yeah, may as well check video game news, probably noth—“

A few months ago I did a super short story with Hahli giving the Crystals from MNOGII to a group of Rahkshi made by Melding Teridax, and I’ve been thinking about revisiting the idea. However, in that story I changed things around a bit, and I’m wondering if I should change them back.

See, it’s long been accepted that Melding Rahkshi would replace the regular Fear, Poison, and etc with the Principles that the Crystals represent. The thing is, not all of those Principles and “enemies” are from the same Koro. For example, Lerahk uses Poison, but its opposite is Purity, the Ga-Koro Principle. Strictly speaking, it makes sense for Melding Lerahk to use Purity. For the story, however, I decided to make Melding Guurahk the Rahkshi of Purity to keep each Rahkshi holding a Crystal of the same color.

So, if I were to revisit the idea of Melding Rahkshi holding Principle Crystals, which should I prioritize: color coordination or the opposing idea relationships?

Like I wasn’t going to enter The Legend Continues. Come on. You can win The Artbook! Plus 2016 sets I wasn’t able to afford, so even if I get second or third it’s still awesome, but…mainly The Artbook!

Er, anyway, I just posted Second Star! I should probably say it’s…rather long. Around 4300 words. I didn’t mean to get carried away, there was just a lot that I wanted to get in and even after cutting back I still had a lot left. Please forgive me. I got excited by the mention of that legendary tome.

This story takes place a few years after the 16 story, and sets up a new plot concept with a new group of heroes. You can probably guess who from the title, but you may still be surprised to see who they’re fighting. Please check it out if you have the time!

Looks like the Nintendo Direct was basically things that might be fairly cool but I don't actually care enough to pay for!

I mean, it's great that they're celebrating the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, but if it's not a full remake (and we probably can't even transfer our Pokemon out of the VC versions) then I don't feel compelled to buy it. Which is good, because I should not be spending money. And, I understand that remakes would take a lot of time and effort that's surely better-spent on other things, like the Pokemon Z Version we all know is on the way. If they had released Green in America I might have considered it.

Although I do still want to buy Pokken Tournament! The Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card sounds cool, and it makes me wonder what other amiibo compatibility the game might have. I also like the sound of the Golden Mega Man amiibo, but there's no way I can afford the collector's edition it comes in, and since I already know I suck at Classic Mega Man I'm okay with that.

And then there's Cloud. It looks like he might have a fairly interesting Limit Break charging feature? Which would justify his appearance beyond being a cash cow, though I do understand that's really all the reason needed. But I've developed an irrational disdain for FFVII and its fans and I don't see that going away. Get Square to release some DLC fighters from Kingdom Hearts or The World Ends With You and then you'll have my attention!

Strike of the Hour will release Friday, October 23rd!

Karios has been kind enough to work on some illustrations for the Okoto 579 series, so as thanks I have agreed to write a new short story starring a character of his design. Set after the end of The Failure‘s Claim, Ekimu’s journey across Okoto has taken him to the Region of Ice, where a fellow blacksmith offers him shelter. The smith has a secret, however, and Ekimu may come to realize that a very shocking change is coming.

    They are fun to write.

One of the many things the Korra finale did was cement Varrick's status as my favorite character, and then I started wondering what would happen if he met the equally eccentric Hououin Kyouma from Steins;Gate.

This is the best I could come up with.

So the new multiplayer mode of the KH mobile game just...isn't that good, IMO. I messed around with it a bit when it first came out and I just haven't even considered touching it since.

This week, they're adding a new avatar costume you can only get by playing said multiplayer mode

These are the most beautiful costumes I've ever seen and I take back everything I just said. I am going to play multiplayer until I drop.

Not sure where they came from, but I'm really, really hoping they somehow turn up in KHIII or beyond because something this gorgeous deserves a canon appearance.

    UPDATE: They are now mine

Remember when I said For Coronet and Cancellation [slizer Mafia 3] was going to be the end of the Slizer Mafia series? Yeah...I did mean that, but with it going the way it did it still feels super open-ended, and it's been bugging me.

The way I see it, this story isn't over until the villain it centers around is dead. Call them whatever you want--the Skull Slizer, the Judge Coronet, or just the Coronet Slizer--but it's high time for their demise.

Hence, Slizer Mafia: The Final Refrain.

I've simplified a lot of the continuity and plan to talk about what happened in the first three games as little and as vaguely as possible, so newcomers are more than welcome to join in! Signups will stay open for 48 hours.

Between how long it’s been since I last worked on it and what changes I’ve made since then, I think I’m going to try going back to the beginning of Divine Strength and just start over. I mean, a lot of it will probably still be taken directly from the current draft, but…well, maybe this’ll help me do a little better.

I’m still not sure what to do about Light’s hair color, though. My previous idea was that the color was determined by her age—it starts red, then turns orange as she gets a little older, then yellow, and so on down the visible spectrum, ultimately becoming purple right before her death. I can’t help but feel that’s a little silly, but I like the idea of her hair color changing with age, so I thought maybe the color stays the same as the body’s natural color, but the shade starts out brighter and eventually darkens. So, if the woman had black hair, upon becoming Queen of Light it would become very light gray, and then darken progressively until it becomes pitch-black near the end of her life. But…I’m not sure about this either. I feel like it’s weird to put so much thought into this little aspect, but it’s something I really want to get figured out.

If I’m starting over, I’m also considering changing the result of the early battle between the Queen of Light and Riniyon. This is where Riniyon reveals he can sever the bond between the Queen and her Crown, but in the current draft she’s able to retrieve it before he escapes. Now, I’m wondering if the story might be more interesting if she can’t retrieve it and Riniyon ends up stealing the Crown and running away. This would lead to a lot of people questioning if she really is still the Queen of Light—both in the sense of who she is and if she’s qualified to continue ruling Bivor. It would also provide Riniyon with a chance to study a Crown up close, which he could use to craft new spells for fighting the Queens and make him more of a threat. Still…I’m hesitant. It might make it feel like this story about Queens isn’t actually following a Queen.

As for making Riniyon more of a threat, I feel like that’s really something I should explore. Up until now he’s been some bumbling angry fool who just got lucky, and I’m increasingly worried that destroys any chance for tension. So maybe he’ll actually be a rather powerful sorcerer? Or, since it still could be hard to justify a human being able to battle the half-goddess Queens, maybe Riniyon could be…something else? Looking back, the magical aspects of this supposed fantasy story are actually very limited, so it might be worth my time to explore some additional magical beings and such.

And, another slightly minor concern, the queendom of Roche. The name made the most sense when it was ruled over by the Queens of the Land and Gravity, since it’s a reference to concepts about gravitational pull and orbits. Now that the queendom is ruled by the Queens of the Land and the Sky, however, the name seems less applicable…though, I’ve been using it so much I’m quite attached to it, and I thought it might have some thematic applications to the flaws and conflicts between these Queens. I might be overthinking it—the chances of people caring that much about the name of the queendom are probably lower than I’m worrying.

Gee, it’ll be a miracle if this ever actually becomes a thing.

Tumblr told me that grinding in Florem Gardens was a good idea. In about an hour I got my team the rest of the way to Lv 99 and mastered a ton of Jobs. I also consulted TVTropes for gamebreaking strategies, then went to tackle the True End.

    I won.

    Woot.

I won't go into detail since I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that I have mixed feelings. Unless I missed it, there are a lot of things they were pretty unclear about, so I was sort of disappointed by that. I'm also not sure there was a real end to anyone's character development, but to be honest I've never been the best at reading those things and I've been a little out of it today. There's also the case of "final boss ex machina", but I suppose that's to be expected with a classic JRPG, so I'm over it.

There were definitely bits that I liked, though! Again, spoilers, so no details, but the accomplishment did bring about some satisfaction. I suppose now I should aim to finish up those Chapter 8 sub-quests and slay some Nemeses...

Overall, I like Bravely Default. I'd give it, maybe...8 out of 10? A high 8. Though I am clearly biased.

Just for the heck of it, here are all the Jobs everyone's mastered:
-Tiz: Time Mage, Ranger, Summoner, Valkyrie, Red Mage, Salve-Maker, Performer, Ninja, Dark Knight, Conjurer
-Agnes: White Mage, Time Mage, Summoner, Red Mage, Salve-Maker, Performer, Swordmaster, Spiritmaster, Templar, Dark Knight, Conjurer
-Ringabel: Monk, Black Mage, Thief, Merchant, Spell Fencer, Performer, Ninja, Arcanist, Vampire, Conjurer
-Edea: White Mage, Knight, Spell Fencer, Time Mage, Valkyrie, Red Mage, Pirate, Swordmaster, Templar, Dark Knight, Conjurer

This is a collection of stories and relevant blog posts for an idea of mine with the working title Divine Strength. It is a work in progress with a lot of work remaining, and some of what you see over the stories will include elements that were later changed or altered, so please forgive any contradictions you may find. I will definitely update the story section, but the blog post section may remain as it is—I haven’t decided yet.

    Stories:
-A Recluse’s Dilemma: An FFFC entry that inspired the idea; not relevant to later iterations and only included for completion’s sake.
-A Recluse’s Dilemma V2: A rewrite of the previous piece, longer and with more details on the Queens’ world. This is where I decided to pursue the concept separately.
-Conference of Divinity: A draft for a scene where all the Queens met, used to establish how many Queens would be present. The number has since been reduced.
-Alignment: A piece following Conference, establishing the queendom of Roche and some backstory for its Queens that is focused upon in several later pieces.
-Despair of the Divine: A piece presenting a first-hand account of part of the backstory summarized in Alignment.
-Divine Strength: Prelude: A draft of the prologue and first chapter of the novel.
-Divine Clash: A longer, more detailed showing of War’s attack on Roche.
-Mending: Takes place after Alignment and attempts a resolution at the conflict between the Queens of Roche.
-Goddess of Evolution: Set nearly a year after Divine Clash, showing some of that piece’s consequences and looking a little more closely at the Queen of War.
-Beyond Ruin: A series of pieces set at a turning point in the Queens' history, aiming to flesh out their characters.

So I have decided to go ahead and cut three of the Queens in Divine Strength, and I’m beginning to rewrite what I’ve got so far. One thing that’s coming up is that a Queen who was cut was relating a story to two of the Queens. I could just have someone else tell the tale, but the thing is, I covered the event (and a related event a year later) in two of the short stories I wrote for Fiction Writing this semester, and I kind of like how they turned out. So, I’m considering putting those stories in as flashback chapters. Or maybe just the one.

But, there are some problems with this. The Queens reincarnate (sort of), so this event takes place nearly 500 years before the main plot, when they are inhabiting different bodies and are thus slightly different characters…well, in theory. Since I was just writing these short stories as mostly standalone, I recycled my current designs (with one exception) and general character traits for the Queens involved as their five centuries-ago selves. If I use these as flashbacks, I really should differentiate them a bit more so that this mechanic works the way I intend it.

I’m not sure that’s a good idea, though. If people are still getting to know these characters, I’m worried that seeing two different representations of them could be confusing. Then again, I could be worrying too much—it’s not that different from getting introduced to Doctor Who and then going back and watching an episode with a previous Doctor, really. Also there is a static part of each Queen that remains through reincarnation, and these chapters tie into the character arcs I’m trying to establish that last into their current lifetime. It could probably work? Maybe?

I don’t know. Should I just summarize or use these short stories as flashbacks? And if I do use flashbacks, should I maybe just leave the old Queens looking just like their current selves to avoid confusion, or should I try to make some distinctions between 500 Years Ago Queen and Present Queen?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

(And no, Korra using flashbacks to Aang doesn't count as an example. They're different enough people, and they're referred to by different names while the Queens use the same name/title in every lifetime.)

Guess who beat KH3D and unlocked the secret movie in under 25 hours of game time? (Though I realize there are probably plenty of people who have done it in less time...)

But you guys probably don't want me to ramble on about my feelings, so I'll move on. I've started working on several Bioni-Spirits inspired by KH3D--not sure exactly how many there will be, but I'm determined to make enough that there will be at least 70 Psionic Spirits! These should be done soon-ish. And yes, a decent number of them will be featured in Kako--Psionic-Lord Cerveau will have quite a collection, mostly for when she uses the Shiki Spirit or to use them as power-ups (you'll see how that works when they're online).

Also, I wanted to point out that a few new Spirits have been put on the Index--the list now goes to 1504.

There are also a couple Spirits I want to make edits to--I want to update Isshu Leader and Isshue Elite to incorporate Pokemon Black and White 2, and I've decided to remove Hapori Dume's Shadow Dragons and Curse Seal techniques and replace them with...something. Not entirely sure what yet, but will probably be Vahki related.

I know it’s still a ways off, but I’ve been spending too much of my Wi-Fi-less time thinking about E3, so to vent the excitement I put together a list of things I’d like to see happen this year, no matter how unlikely.

-Square Enix announces something The World Ends With You-related.

-No, really, some good news about TWEWY, that’d be really cool. And handled better than the initial release of Solo Remix, preferably?

-Square Enix announces a date for the NA release of Bravely Second: End Layer, and gives us some costumes we can get upon release. (Though this definitely wouldn’t include all of the costumes available in the Japanese version.) And maybe Bravely Second amiibo, that could be cool, probably?

-Square Enix shows a trailer for Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and announces the NA release date, plus some teasers for the next story update for X. (Also some info on the Unions please, I want to make an informed decision when I join.) And just for the heck of it, Kingdom Hearts figures announced for Disney Infinity. Even though that means I would need to buy Disney Infinity…

-…Alright, I guess it’d be neat to see a new trailer for KHIII, preferably with new story content and/or showing off Keyblade transformations. Kairi, Riku, and Aqua must all appear.

-Square Enix announces a Nintendo 3DS remake of Final Fantasy V. (Does not require New 3DS.)

-Square Enix does not do anything related to Final Fantasy VII. The fans riot, but that’s normal, so no one really notices.

-Nintendo announces acquisition of full rights to Mega Man, announces partnership with Keiji Inafune on new Mega Man projects including Mega Man Legends 3, a new Star Force (or a sequel series), and a new amiibo-compatible game that will be released alongside amiibo of every version of Mega Man. In celebration, Mega Man will be making cameo appearances in all Nintendo games released over the next year, as well as several games that are already out via DLC patches.

-Please Nintendo. Please rescue the super fighting robot.

-Nintendo announces the next Pokémon game, to be released worldwide either late 2015 or early 2016. Compatible with regular 3DS, does not require New 3DS. (Can you tell I don’t have a New 3DS?) Most likely a new Kalos game or new Kanto remakes, both of which could be really cool...of course I wouldn’t mind if they took the surprise route and announced Sinnoh remakes, eheheh. (Whatever it is we need new Mega Evolutions!) New information on Pokken Tournament is also released. And maybe a new Pokémon Stadium-type game for Wii U, that’s something that could be pretty fun.

-Though I don’t follow the series, I feel like it would probably be a good thing if a new Metroid were announced. Yea or nay?

-I mean there’s probably going to be a new Mario game or something. I don’t follow this either, but I want to get at least one of these right and this is a pretty safe bet. Not that there’s anything wrong with Mario games, of course.

-Reveal of new DLC fighters for Smash, ideally some I want to play as so I can complain about Nintendo taking the money I am hoping I will want to give them. It’s a weird feeling. Also maybe some good news regarding Smash amiibo, and sensible production and distribution of them in all territories.

-A sequel to Tomodachi Life is announced, because why the heck not.

-Also we really need an update to StreetPass Plaza’s Puzzle Swap. Pressing the d-pad 20 times to get to the panel I want is annoying, it would make more sense to put a grid-based navigation menu on the touch screen, I think. Also if we could be more specific when buying puzzle pieces with Play Coins, and, you know…not get duplicates…that would be pretty rad.

-There should probably be a Mother 3 joke on here somewhere, right?

-Sony announces a new, cheaper model of the PS4. I’m going to need one of those someday and I work part-time in a grocery store deli.

-And I mean Capcom is probably going to announce a new Street Fighter IV and nothing else, what the heck I’m already angry.

-New information on Steins;Gate 0 is released. Cool information. El Psy Kongroo.

-Lego announces a new game (RPG!) set on the island of Okoto, probably available on, like, all platforms. It’ll probably suck. I’ll probably love it. The game also includes an Easter Egg where you can listen to a remixed version of the Piraka Rap since 2016 is the 10th anniversary of that magnificent work of art. There will also be numerous, numerous things included to definitively prove that this is a reboot, and fans will still insist it is a continuation.

-Wow I know I put a good deal of bitterness in this but I don’t want to end on that, OH WAIT THERE’S A SECRET ENDING YAY

So, when I finished Shooting Star Sonia 2, I said I had a few other projects I wanted to get off the ground in the near future. I’ve now officially given up on both of them. Just to pad my blog with content, here’s an overview of what could have been but probably won’t.

-The bigger one was an attempt at a new Comedy, “Synica and the Jade Mask”. A villager from the Region of Stone finds a Jade Mask that won’t let go of her face and amplifies her already negative personality (she’s jaded!), so she has to go on a journey to figure out how to break its hold. Along the way she would have encountered villagers wearing other such Masks of Emotion and come to learn of/face off against their creator, and would have been accompanied by Asuno, the armadillo-like Creature of Exposition! It wasn’t all for laughs—I was trying the approach of “write a story, and then also make it funny” since I don’t perform well with “toss in as many jokes as I can think of”. So I was actually going to try to come up with a mix of obvious puns and no fourth wall and general humor versus an actual plot and character development and maybe some thoughts on emotional/mental health. I know, right? Totally out of my league! Ah well, kicking it around in my head helped kill some time at work.

-The other one was OTC—a small Kingdom Hearts story adapting Final Fantasy V as a world in KH3D. It was just an excuse to get Sora and Riku to interact with the Warriors of Light and fight Gilgamesh and Exdeath, and I thought using the separated worlds from FFV as the different sides of the Realm of Sleep world would work well. Plus since it’s a dream, I could bring Galuf in and stab readers in the heart. And, well…Sora interacted with Bartz and Lenna pretty well, but I was really struggling with getting him to talk to Faris and having Riku engage Galuf and Krile. I dunno, I guess this has a better chance of coming together than the above comedy, but it’s seeming 99% unlikely right now. I might be better off trying a simpler idea, like an oneshot where Sora bumps into a few of them in a specific world. Faris would fit into Port Royal really well…

It feels like I’ve been dropping a lot of story ideas over the past few years. Of course, I’ve always had a problem with finishing ideas, and even what I do get out has execution issues more often than not, but…ugh. No, I should try to end on a positive note, so I’m gonna remind myself of what I have accomplished since ending SSS2.

-Glimpse of Horizons. The broader idea is going nowhere fast, but I really enjoyed writing this trial version, and I definitely want to use the powers I gave the protagonist in the future even if the rest of it doesn’t work out. It was nice to realize there is a plausible way to revisit one of the oldest concepts I’ve worked with, so that definitely makes this worth it.

-Mafia XXIX: Hotel of Okoto. I mean…the Chorus System, the only unique thing about this game, was an absolute flop, and I could only come up with short scenes, but still. Hosting a Mafia game with a theme that had plenty of jokes built in gave me some breathing room and I think it was fun overall.

-Second Star. I worry that I’m beginning to get burnt out on Bionicle stories, but The Legend Continues really lit a fire in me. Coming up with G2 Inika and how to present them was an awesome time, and it’s nice to know that I still have some passion left for this series tucked away somewhere. But, you know…I invested brainpower into naming all their weapons, and in the end I couldn’t find a good way to slip them in without it feeling obtrusive! I know I don’t have the focus/time/motivation to do a full story, but…well, does anyone want to collaborate?

Huh. Looking it over, that’s an accomplishment per month! Not so bad after all. Plus, I have something else that just needs a little revision and should be up in a matter of days…

Anyway, I’ve started on Shooting Star Sonia 3, though I’m not particularly far into it. I’ve also pinned down most of the ideas I’ll need for Wall of History, I just need to write up the history I’ll be handing out each round. With luck, I might actually be looking productive in late 2017!

I looked through some old stuff and apparently I’ve had the idea for this fanfic for at least a year now, it’s kinda surreal I can’t believe I actually got to it.

I’ve just begun Shooting Star Sonia, a rewrite of the first Mega Man Star Force game with Sonia/Harp Note as the protagonist instead of Geo/Mega Man. There are a few other things I’m reworking to keep it fresh and not feel like just replaying the game, but you’ll have to wait and see exactly what those might be!

Chapter 1 is dedicated to Sonia and Lyra’s first encounter. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I get that way about a lot of my stuff, so it’s up, I did my best, tear it apart. Most future chapters are going to be “[insert FM-ian Here] Attacks!” so they’ll probably be a little longer than this one; won’t know for sure until I get to them, though. Like I mentioned before, I have 12 chapters on the outline right now, and I’m going to post them as I write them. I can’t promise a regular schedule, but I’ll do my best to make it so you’re not waiting too long between chapters.

Okay, I think that’s all I have to say. I hope you enjoy the story, and I look forward to any feedback you might have for me!

Well, I did the thing that one guy suggested near the end of Chapter 6, which took me into the "short ending." That's as vague as I have to be without spoiling it. It wasn't all too difficult, I think...but, then again, I have been playing on Easy for a while. This ending does seem pretty open-ended, but there's still a sense of accomplishment. Plus, now I can have Agnes wear her vestal garb all the time! Worth it.

The save file then spit me back into Chapter 6, so now I'm going around doing all the new sub-quests before ending the chapter the proper way. I've seen enough online to know that it's going to be one long haul to the true end, but I shall not waver!

...Although I might take a bit of a break once I get the Steins;Gate visual novel which I think is allowed since they have the same writer but I digress

Also I finally tried out Conjurer. Good gosh it's amazing. Once you get Steady MP Recover, that combined with MP After Battle (or whatever it was called) removes any worry over the MP cost of Invocations, plus once you get your hands on Obliterate you can farm weak enemies like there's no tomorrow! Plus Edea finally mastered Swordmaster, netting her the Free Lunch ability that nullifies all MP costs for two turns, and doesn't cost any MP or extra BP itself. Totally broken. Totally awesome.

    But Tiz is still bland.
