Is it Tuesday again? I guess it is that time again....

    6389 Fire Control Center

Description: Released in 1991 and retail price was about $50 US dollars, this was part of the classic town RES-Q 911 series. Today can be found MISB for anywhere between $140 and $200 dollars. Containing 514 parts and 4 firemen minifigs, the set also had a helicopter and fire truck. Functions include some really cool garage doors that slide open and closed and lots of firefighting equipment like hoses, axes, hammers and etc.

My Take: Yep, I had this set when I was younger. It was alot of fun, even more so when paired with my other classic town sets. I really liked the design and parts of the garage doors. The landing pad for the helicopter was also a nice addition. The firetruck had a hydro cannon on top of it and a hose/spool in the rear, it actually looked pretty futuristic for a 1991 release. The only thing really missing from the set was flames! Until next week!

This goddess wand was created by my hands for a special someone. It is wrapped in copper magnet wire and topped with a quartz crystal. A feather and goddess charm also adorn it. I doubt most will realize the true potential of this item, but if you know of the piezoelectric qualities of quartz you might have a good idea...

Just all of a sudden, it will not read any games. It still works for internet and stuff, but it is straight up worthless to me now without the ability to play Castlevania: SotN and Dissidia.

Man, I am so bummed out. I think the lens is broken, it is loose when I inspected it. I was always careful with my PSP, I cannot fathom how this could of happened. Dangit Sony, Nintendo just gained some more points over you in my book, I have never, ever had any problems with ANY Nintendo product, ever. I have only had the PSP for 7 months!

Just when I was getting ready to go online with Dissidia and fork out 300 bills for a PS3. Now my level 100 Gabranth with mastered abilites will remain in a suspended animation for, um, who knows how long! Bummed out to the max!

Only 2 days left till Brickcon, and I still have like NOTHING packed up! I still have 2 MoCs to finish also, granted they are quickies but time is almost up and I have a ton left to accomplish! I got called into work today so that cost me 8 hours too! Grah! How will I get all this stuff done? *Rushes off to build*

    Entry #4

There are clearly some awesome creations in that poll, if you deem my little ice cavern scene worthy I ask for your votes, without shame! This was one of my most unique works to date, I never thought of myself as a vig/diorama kind of builder. I enjoyed the mad dash getting it done before the deadline though, good luck to all in the contest!

Wow, another milestone, have I really posted 50 of these things allready!

    9748 Droid Developer Kit

Description: Released in 1999 at a retail price of about 70 dollars, this has become a collectors item, like most all things Star Wars and now sells for about 130 dollars. Containing 657 parts and a CD, this was the dawn of mindstorms. The programmable scout brick would be the first of many to come that offers a new kind of interaction with a lego set.

My take: Never got this one, sure do want it though. Lots of nice electric parts in this set. The white technic panels, micro scout brick and R2-D2 dome could prove very useful.

Seems I got put in a tough poll. Vote here!

Id like to wish luck to the others in that poll. I also ask for your votes if you deem entry 2 worthy of them. I am pleased to report that this has extended my semi-final reaching streak to 6, dating clear back to BBC 39. A big thank you from me to all of you, it was you who made that possible and I intend to keep that streak going as long as I can.

Toys R Us has a great sale going, you can read more about it here. Anyway I got 3 newer sets with some great MoCing pieces, get down to your local TRU and get in on this deal!

    A nice Lime colored set
    Large Black Wingies!
    And more Magnets

The AR set is a TRU only special I think, love those magnets. Expect to see new MoCs with these parts soon!

    3, 2, 1 Liftoff!

    6456 Mission Control

Desciption: Released in 1999 as part of the town/space port series, retail price then was about 40 bucks. Sells MISB today for about 100 dollars. Containing 479 parts and 4 minifigs, this is your straight forward space shuttle launch set.

My take: Never got this set, I had the older space shuttle launch pad one, which I believed I featured in the set spotlight a few months ago. That said, for some reason I think the older set had much more to offer in terms of playability.

Steady as she goes. Think big, and think function. I would say it is about 70 percent done, it is really neat, and NO, it is not another humanoid! I may end up having to make a video for it, stay tuned, there may be a teaser pic in the near future!

    Have a look!

This was a very challenging contest for me. Building small, cute rahi is clearly not my forte, still I did try and make something presentable and fitting the theme. I swear I seem to have the worst timing, my Armadillo would have been a perfect fit for this contest. That ended up being my 1200th post special MoC though, only about a month ago! I think this voting process will be unique in that the entries will all share the same trait, cuteness. Color scheme, the build itself, proportions, all of that is going out the window and the only criteria to get votes is being cute. Fresh and new, just what the BBC needed a dose of I think, funny how the contest started as a prank and has become what it is now.

I am very anxious to see who will walk away with the win for this contest.

Merry Christmas to all the BZPeoples. I will be working the holiday, evening shift, fun stuff, making money though.

Christmas just does not feel the same this year. Last year was tough, this year is a bit easier I guess. Life is taking its toll on me again, everyone is joyous, I observe them and feel a bit of envy. I am thankful for what I have, motivated and determined to push on, but I just feel no real joy or happiness this year. I miss my family, I miss my hometown, I miss time with my kid, and time passes faster each day. Life does not get any easier, of this I am certain.

Loot included cash, von nebula, rotor, coat, colonge, eletric razor, gloves, beanie, socks and a very nice picture frame made by my daughter. Life marches on.

    Vote for entry 3 here!

First of all, thank you oh so much Tufi for your patience in getting the polls up, you are so good to us . Looks like I am in poll Alpha, hopefully the Rahi of Mahri Nui will gain some votes there. This was another unique contest, not to mention challenging, well for me anyway. This was my first build with my only thought being "make it cute", needless to say I had quite a difficult time making something at least satisfactory. Should be alot of fun to see who will be making the semi-finals!

Well there are a ton of preliminary polls again for this contest! I spent about 15 minutes just trying to find my poll, and I thought the last BBC contest had a big turnout! I am hopeful that this voting process will not leave out some of the better and more cute creations due to the huge number of polls. Ill try to get my votes cast in all of the polls and reply to the topics, nothing is for sure though.

Lastly, I would like to declare that I will NOT be building anymore cute rahi any time soon. Sorry all but my forte is big and bulky .

    Read Here

Wow, so yeah I thought this was mildly interesting. I was actually quite surprised at the content but even more surprised at the characters! Dante? Lara Croft (well okay she belongs I guess). Gordon and Jade? Obviously more votes are needed there.

    Topping my list would be...

Tifa Lockheart! Just joking of course. I dare not reveal such sensitive information to the masses!

And in the spirit of the holiday season....

    1628 Santa Sleigh with Reindeer

Description: Released in 1989, retail price was about 5 bucks. Today can be found MISB for about 22 dollars. Containing 63 parts, this set was one of the first to pair your blocky santa with your blocky reindeer!

My take: Not a whole lot to elaborate on here, other than it is a cute set. Until next week, and merry christmas!
