I have been looking for this item for a long time, soon I will have it. I had it when I was a wee lad, a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Call me a sissy if you like but I have an emotional bond with this, it was what introduced me to lego at the tender age of 5. I used to carry my duplo bricks in it, I even slept with it at night, I was crushed when I lost it. But now, I will heal!
PLUSHIE! This is the original from 1984, not the re-release.
Normally I do not post WiPs in my blog but I want some feedback on this project, using the Nui Jaga parts. Im going to build 2 toa, one blue, one purple. I want them both to be short, stubby and fully articulated, which should prove challenging. Both with have projectiles of some type and a tool.
Brickshelf user thire5 brings us a lovely Spyrius themed starship!

Notice the perfect color scheme and all around sexy details. This is classic space MoCing at its best! The pilot bay is also quite shapely and fits a minifig in there too. This deserved some limelight.
Im im that after Brickcon mood where I just dont know what to build next. Im leaning toward something for BBCC 60, ideas? I see alot of spiders, I want something unique.
So I am running out of time to enter Ballom's Contest. I need ideas for which pokemon to make? Ive been looking over countless sprites and other pokemon pictures, I just cannot decide. I tried Venusaur, then Gengar, both failed. Please help! Im no good at this pokemon stuff.
I thought about a Voltorb too, but I do not have a Nuju metru canister lid to go with the Vakama one.

On top of all that I got another Hydraxon set, I have been eyeing the Exo Force Aero Booster set for awhile now, I got this crazy idea for those large gray and blue parts. Santa must have known I had a rough year! Ill be putting some of those Terrain Crawler parts to use right away for a certain blog contest entry....
With the voting process underway, I would like to state a few things:
First off, a big thank you to Tufi, Kex and Shannara for being great contest assistants. Secondly, I am seeing alot of people labeling some entries as "too big and complicated" to be considered a set. This kind of bothers me, I loved the older Rahi sets, I think we all did. They were big and complex so just because Bionicle has not had a large set since the Bahrag does not mean there cannot be any more. Another thing that bothers me is that if lego were to release another large and complex set, I am betting the majority of people would want it and welcome it.
What about the playsets too? They can get big and complicated, granted they mostly use system but still they are expensive. The theme asked for nothing larger than a titan, so far all the entries in question I have seen are just as large as Brutaka or Roodaka. I saw nothing in the rules regarding complexity of the build, only size. I think everybody who entered this contest did so with the theme in mind.
Lastly, I would like to point those reading this blog entry to Semi-Final Poll B where you can find my entry. If you deem it worthy I ask for your votes!
It seems that there is indeed ice on Mars, which most likely means that the planet could one day be inhabited by humans. There will not be any solid confirmation for a few more weeks as the Mars lander has to take a sample and cook it in the "oven" to scan the gasses released. However, it appears to be ice, and seems to have evaporated after the sun had come into contact with it. This is a great discovery and gives hope for the future of our race. The Earth will not be habitable forever and one day we will have to colonize in either space or other planets to survive.
Description: Released in 1996 and retail price was about 20 bucks. Today can be found MISB for about 70 bucks. Containing 159 parts and 4 minifigs. The set was released as a part of the lego Western/Cowboy series.
My take: Showdown at high noon! This looks like a cool set, the jail cell blown open, as seen in the image there with a cute little dynamite system tile, my how lego has evolved now with the Power Miners dynamite . Until next week young rustlers!
Well its that time of year again, the E3 gaming expo! For those who have been living under a rock, see Here. Sorry Czar, I've had to remove the link because of the forums on the site. -Nukora
I see a few major announcements recently, such as Metal Gear Solid 4, and Mario Kart Wii, both of which will be must have games for me. Nintendo also announced that the Wii will soon have a fitness board, a zapper and a steering wheel. Other announcements from today include a newer PSP handheld, with HD video output and an improved battery, which might even persuade me to buy one. Ill update this entry with breaking E3 news and new screenshots when I can. I will leave you with a few screenshots of some of my upcoming favorites!
I have this great idea for BBCC 59, but trying to get motivated is proving tedious. Its been a long time since I published a new moc, should I throw my hat in the mix or no?
This is actually the second version of myself. The first can be found Here. The color scheme and size will be true to the original, this time though I have added a blunt shooter, since I always did want a projectile for a self MoC. The head might also be a cyclops but I am not sure yet. Articulation will be full, except for the waist, which the original did have.
Some of you might remember this little creation I made for Cags contest awhile back:
Well, as it turns out I just sold this little beauty as a custom item for 10.99! I am going to begin mass production on these as I have a ton of those parts. Could this be a goldmine in disguise? Also, I ordered a Vohrak with shadow kraata and one of the not yet released power miner sets! Lookie at the big rock guy!
I was so wore out last night after the late night lego store dash, I was unable to blog. So tonight I have to blog for 2 days worth! First, da pics.
This was one of my favorites, those are REAL bees flying around in there!
Tomorrow is the final day, allready. I am sad but at the same time anxious to see who will win best in show, and all the other awards. Also, I got a glimpse at the bionicle trophies and prototypes. One of them is a green gelu helmet, a trans black/brownish strakk head, and my personal favorite a trans clear bohrok headplate, with magnifying lens. Much like the one Bundalings won for BBCC 42, DO WANT IT BADLY! Id like to send a huge thank you to Letagi and his mother for transporting my family to the lego store, I am in your debt. Letagi also purchased the metal purple akaku, he now owns both of those precious flintsmith customs and a piece of BZP history! I was able to pick up some power function sets for a bargain price at the lego store, they will be put to good use as I was given a genius idea! The gang also reviewed Skopio, I was able to get in a few words as well. Everyone had a blast with Prometheus too, they put it to the test and it performed well. Looking forward to the final day, but also sad to see that the event has gone by so quickly. Look for more pics, updates, and other stuffs tomorrow!
