... I haven't been around a lot, for those of you who've noticed. Between AP History test coming up and other IRL stuff, I've been off BZP for a while. Haven't properly been BZPing in ages, and I've only posted a little every now and then.
I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things, but I don't know how much I'll really be able to get on. I'm tryin'.

Said I was going to do it some time this weekend, but I got so busy IRL and all that (details? maybe later) that I didn't get a chance to start much of what I wanted to on BZP.
Don't worry, though, I'll do everything I can to update the blog and start things off again tomorrow. I've been posting and everything a lot, I just haven't had a chance to really get down and do what I wanted to do. That should change tomorrow.

So, does anyone approve of my blog? I could some more to fill up that content block down there...
Unrelated: working on AP History vocab >.< But BZP's much more fun, so I ended up here instead.

Anyone ever read the book? I had to read it for English, and I just spent over 9000 hours doing a project for it, making a movie based on the book.
In case anybody cares, it's about two kids at an all-boys boarding school in New England during WWII, and how the war affects them. Kinda. Mostly it's about my character falling out of a tree and eventually dying.

I would like to announce that BZP member and apparently sometime-Revolutionary has won my Blog Contest from a while back. I refer you to the entry.
There was something wrong with the Member Spotlight wording, and I happened to notice it when I was featured there a while ago. I PMed Black Six about it, and he said that it was interesting, but naturally very low on his list of priorities. So I held a Blog Contest, asking Revolutionaries to try and figure out the error I had spotted.

Today, Toa Lhikevikk won. The Member Spotlight wording reads, "_________ joined on ________ and racked up ______ posts in that time."

In other words, I joined on October 12th and racked up 2383 posts in that time. I racked up 2383 posts in the time "October 12th, 2005".

It should read something along the lines of, "Vorahk9 joined on October 12th, and has racked up 2383 posts since that time." Since. Not "in". "October 12th, 2005" isn't a time period.

I assume, from Lhikevikk's comment, that he realized this, and thus wins FIVE, yes, FIVE Blog points, a high rank and high respect within the coming Revolution, and one custom-made Cressona Award.

Enjoy, and remember: The Revolution is Coming.

In this first edition of This Week in Bionicle, we hope to show you what to expect in this series of The Revolution, how you can help, and of course what’s going on this week… in Bionicle. Read on for more…
Now, when I said this week, I guess I was altering the terminology slightly… it’s not exactly just this week, just whatever’s gone on recently that we’d like to bring to your attention for discussion and… um, usage… or something.
Anyway, first up is the brand new 2009 bionicle.com. The dark, swampy kind of feel we’ve been seeing for the last half of 08, and in fact the kind of shadowy, epic, Karda-Nui kind of thing that’s been the main focus of the site since we entered the world that feeds the world last January is totally gone, replaced by a sweeping desert landscape complete with underground caves, icy caverns, jungles, and fiery volcanoes that to those of us who’ve been here from the beginning look very familiar, and very welcoming after five years away from that paradise island where it all began and is now nothing more than an evil robot’s face.
Needless to say, I really like the new site, and not just for the nostalgia value. The new animations are really cool, and they really show off the sets and exactly what they can do. The story section, though I’m sure it’ll get old far too quickly for those who seek new and constant storyline updates and prowl the OGD searching for information, is also great, giving us some great new info on Bara Magna, the villages, and just about everything Glatorian.
Next up is the set availability update. A recent news story reports that Glatorian have hit the land down under, so Australian fans, get ready for a trip to the stores (Don’t worry about being even this little bit behind; I still haven’t gotten any of the new guys yet either ).
I won’t go into great detail on the new storyline tidbits we’ve picked up recently, or my recent musings on the new plastic desert warriors, partly because I’m just too lazy to write any more right now, partly because I think that this entry is getting kind of long, and partly because I want to save something for the next entry in this series without having to go scanning the front page again for news articles to quote.
Which brings me to another point: if you spot something bionicle-related on bzpower, on the web, or even in real life, whether it be a little-known story tidbit, a rare set sighting, or any other piece of interesting bionicle-related news, drop me a PM and let me know. I'll cite you as my source when I post the info in this series, and you might have a chance to join a possible blog club in the works.
So, if you’ve actually read all that, thanks for reading, and why not drop off a comment to let me know what you think; if you just skipped down here and read the end, drop a comment off anyway; the Revolution needs your support.
And that’s this week… in Bionicle.

To go with my new banner/avatar/et.al. I'm working on making the blog actually cool, in the hopes that it will attract moar actually readers. And get me more actual approvals. And all that.
Oh, yeah, and I have a question for my readers. I haven't gotten any Glatorian yet, but I really do want to grab one before I forget all about them in the summer excitement. My local stores have, I'm pretty sure, just got them (based on the two agori I spotted a few days ago), or will get them in a few days.
First question: Out of all six Glatorian, which one (only one; any more is too much money and effort that could be spent on SUMMER SETS!1!!1!1!! ) do you think I should get?

Second question: Personally, I have narrowed down my two favorite to be Gresh and Skrall. Out of these two Glatorian, which one do you think I should get?

Thanks for replying and letting me know your opinion; it'll definitely help me. I may post my thoughts on all the winter sets (admittedly a bit late ) in a little while, so stay tuned.

I'm in the member spotlight today!
Imagine my surprise when, as I scrolled down BZP's main page a few moments ago, when I scrolled a bit too far beyond what I normally look at, and saw this:

I read the name Vorahk9, and glanced down at the join date and post number, thinking that it was very close to my own. Then I read the interests section, and suddenly I knew: it was me.
You see, when I first joined BZPower back in 05, Vorahk was my favorite set, and 9 was my favorite number, and I had the newbie belief that numbers and character names must go together in a username. Thus, Vorahk9 was born.
I later changed my name to Cressona: Shadow Toa, and later Cressona, finally finding the perfect identity, and all the while, I wondered if I would ever appear on the Member Spotlight, and if I would know.
So there you go. Also noteworthy is the fact that the Member Spotlight gives not your actual username, but your screenname (I think that's the term) that your account is actually referred to as. Kinda strange.
Oh, and BLOG POINTS to the first person to spot the grammatical/logical error in the MS's wording!

Not because I didn't like the Tahnok-Kal one; I thought it was really cool. It's just that whenever I posted, it really didn't go with the Nuva Team Assembled rank image at all. Just looked bad, the sepia banner and av next to the brightly colored rank image. So I went with something new.
First, I tried a Mata Nui/Makuta rock (you know, from 2001, the black rock and the beige one from the Legend of Mata Nui) banner/av combo, and it worked with the rank image, but just looked really boring. So I ended up going with this Tahu/Tahnok combo, because I think it looks pretty cool, and it works.
Let me know if you like it or not; I can change it to something else, but I just think this works for now.

Should be discussed in Spoiler Tags, but won't be.
    *gets banned*
    Okay, then. Spoilers it is.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «I'm getting Mata Nui. No question. Sure, he's yellow, but yellow is still awesome (it's the color of my favorite smiley: ), and that might be a prototype anyway and we might be blessed with an amazing, golden Mata Nui. Really, the design is brilliant (his design just plain looks cool), he's got cool weapons, cool mask, and cool colors (black and yellow in this color scheme fit together very well). Other than that, the Silent Sentinel Gelu looks really cool (Mandalorian helmet! ). He takes all the icy awesomeness of Metus (read: snowflake shield), adds a cool Mandalorian helmet, and throws in some cool (pun) dark blue and white for moar epic-ness. Right behind the Great Spirit, Jell-O takes second place.
No comments on the others for now, but Ackar is awesome (yeah, yeah, IT'S A TRAP!, reused berix helmet is reused, but still cool), Vastus is kind of wierd (snake-man?), but he's got the best name EVAR and if we can see a decent, straight-on pic (B6, I'm lookin' at you) of him, I could make up my mind on his awesomeness.
Kiina's got a custom torso and a thin, feminine body, and I find it interesting that everyone who's begged for these things for years now hates her. And Stronius is a troll (yes, a troll), and deserves the respect level given to a troll, but there may be a bit of latent coolness in there.
The vehicles? I'm not even thinking about getting those, but not because I hate them. It's a combination of them being very expensive, me having very little extra money to spend on bionicle vehicles, and them being very big and bulky and all that.
Still, the two-headed Spikit is cool, the functions are great, and those riders all look pretty cool. Color schemes are a bit jumbled, though: I'd have prefered to see something more like Axalara, with some solid red and silver/grey in there, rather than yellow/orange/red/gray/black/silver/etc.etc.
So I did look through all 200 pics in Black Six's flickr, skimming over the not-bionicle ones, and I have to say that these summer sets are all really, really cool. Set designers, congratulations. You have not only made the Inika torso design look good, you've given us some great color schemes, amazing new weapons, awesome recolors, and cool new molds. These are the best I've seen in a long time.
Now go get us some innovation for 2010.

Welcome to the Revolution’s first FORUM HIGHLIGHTS. In this segment, we work to highlight what’s been going on in the forums lately: hot topics, member achievements, anything. In this first segment, we’ll take a look at Bionicle Incarnations, a popular forum category featuring the ever-popular Sets sub forum, the Reference Center, home to a good two or three different posters, several other Bionicle-based forums such as Collectibles and Software, and of course S&T, home of Adventurer, Aravagantos, Takua the Wanderer, the massive OGD, the other world-famous S&T Titans, and yours truly, when the moment strikes. So what’s going on in Bionicle Incarnations? Let’s find out.
In Sets, quite a few topics have sprung up on the subject of canisters, from blackelectricspike627, who poses the idea of cardboard canisters instead of plastic to save money here (check out my monolouge in about the 9th post for something that’d be in the blog if I’d have thought of it earlier. ), to Zynax-toa of Pie’s question of which is the best canister set design here, which I don’t think violates an official topic since it’s just about the canisters.
Also new in Sets (at least to me) is PohutNuva’s topic, a new “Official ‘What was your first set’ topic”, which I won’t link to because it’s so official you should have no problem finding it, and I’m too lazy.
Now, at the risk of spending an entire Highlight on Sets (which I may do one of these days; it’s an interesting idea), I’ll move on to what was one of my favorite forums as a new member, and continues to be a popular choice for myself and many other story-oriented members.
Our GREG-WATCH reports that the Official Greg Dialogue, known to acronym-minded among us as the OGD, has reached 8,911 replies as of 6:13 PM, February 3rd, the last post by Dorek.
Moving along, topics like Krana Kongu’s The Two Rings of the Bb Map and Danish member Kone the Artist’s “the Map” theory continue to speculate-- sorry, theorize, speculation’s banned in S&T -- about the meaning of the Blade Burrower/Unity-Duty-Destiny map uncovered by Adventurer in the OGD many years ago (actually just one. Sorry. ).
Also of interest, mowaku’s started a topic asking whether you think Greg is a good writer or not. From what I’ve seen, the consensus is overwhelmingly positive, but mowaku himself insists on the opposite, and in fact had another topic closed earlier for arguing that Greg is a bad writer, in what the closing moderator decided was a rude way.
Meanwhile, the Official Elements Topic (not linked due to laziness and official-ness ) has wandered up into the first page of S&T again, thanks this time to a discussion of lava as a power or an element. Head over there to give your opinion.
Dropping down the Incarnations sub forum list, we’ll head down to Collectibles, where Kanohi names are discussed, both argued against by Toa maks, and connected to real words in other languages by Inferna Firesword. No links this time; I’m getting lazy. But if you do want to head down to Collectibles, be sure not to miss Toa Lahka’s warning not to put Thornax in the washing machine, or Hunter Kirax’s ubiquitous Bring Back the Collectibles topic.
Honestly, I was the only one listed browsing collectibles as I did my Research-on-the-Run, so I’ll leave the abandoned, though full-of-hot-topics Collectibles and give you a quick rundown on Promotions, the second Incarnations forum to be led by ccso35. Everybody’s talking about new songs for 2009 and the Glatorian, and if you want to voice your opinion, head over there and check it out. Since I was the only non-guest viewing the forum again, though, and because I don’t want to strain my readers’ eyes with too much writing, I’ll continue to Screenguy’s lone Incarnations forum: Software. Bionicle message boards are the hot topic in this forum, both in the normal sense of the word and the BZPower/forums-in-general sense: with over a thousand and a half replies already, Krika Mistika wants to know what you think of the Bionicle Message Boards. Naturally, very few have positive things to say about them.
Leaving Screenguy’s domain, we’ll now head to the high-posting munkeymunkey’s forum: Movies & Books. Here, the buzz is all about the 09 movie, whether it’s a potential movie name, what Mata Nui’s voice should be, or the voices of the Glatorian themselves.
And that’s what’s going on in the forums today. But before we let you go, the Revolution would like to point out a few member achievements (nothing really in-depth; I’ve already written a page on Word, and my WordCount machine tells me I’ve already got almost 800 words. Also, I’m lazy. )
Now, the big news on the first page of members (when arranged according to total posts, descending order, with 60 results per page ), is that Adventurer has overtaken munkeymunkey in posts, gained the blue Hahli mask (the name escapes me at the moment), and became a Shining Seeker, leaving munkey’s Electrified Aimer behind in the dust. Also, Kex recently received his shining Ignika, and is less than a hundred posts behind long-time and world-famous member T-Hybrid, formerly Torhu. But that was many, many years ago. Also of note is Takua the Wanderer’s new rank, which is too long for me to write out right now, but which confirms speculation of a Hordika-series up there in the ten thousands.
Well, I’ve got over 900 words in here now, I’m on my second page, and if anybody’s still reading this, they’re either amazed at how much I’ve managed to write and are much more enlightened about the forums, or they’re bored out of there minds.
Which means it’s time for me to stop the typing, hit “add entry”, and hope it’s enough content for you.

So. I clicked a link in a sig today, and it took me to a blog that informed me that the Vahki are still alive, in the form of the High Vahki. I like the idea of the Vahki fad (maybe just because I like Vahki ), but they really didn't last too long.
I'm considering starting a movement like the Vahki, but something different, something that will last longer.
My original idea, about six months ago, involved getting hundreds of members to change their names to something almost identical (like "Vahki Enforcer 1", "Vahki Enforcer 2", etc.), and all use the same avatar and banner. If anybody thinks this would work, let me know, but I don't think we could get enough people to do it, or for long enough.
So, I'll be thinking of some ideas for a new movement (possibly a club?), and if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

As some of you might have noticed, I have returned after some time away from BZPower. Now I’ve returned, and it’s time for my blog to do the same. As you might have noticed, the categories, format, and name have changed a bit, and in this first new entry, I’m going to try to explain everything and make the new format clear.

    Categories:
    Know Your Staff:
In the Revolution, we believe that the staff are an important part of BZPower. They work hard to keep the site clean, friendly, and efficient, and we think that they should be honored, or at the very least known, for that. So, in Know Your Staff, we try to get the average member in touch with the forum’s staff members, from forum assistants to admins and everything in between. In our first Know Your Staff entry, we’ll go over the specifics for this category and how we can get you in touch with our staff.

    Forum Highlights:
BZPower’s a great Bionicle news site: its reviews are great and its information is top-notch. The reference section, too… well, actually, the reference section hasn’t been updated in over five years so it’s not exactly as great, but, yeah… However great the other sections may be, though, BZPower is also top in Bionicle discussion, and its forums are some of the best around. In Forum Highlights, we highlight the latest news from the forums themselves, from up-and-coming hot topics to the achievements of certain members to member birthdays. If you want to stay on top of the forums, here’s the place to do it. More info, again, is coming in the first Forum Highlights entry soon.

    Cressona’s Story:
There’s a lot of blogs out there that just tell you what’s going on in the blogger’s everyday life: their story. And since this is a blog, we feel obligated to provide you with a bit of information about the blogger himself: Cressona. This section isn’t as BZP-related as the others, and thus not as member-interactive, but we will try to update this section once and a while.

    This Week in Bionicle:
So far we’ve said that we’ll update you on the BZPower Staff, the BZPower forums, and a BZPower member, but we haven’t said much about Bionicle itself. I’m sure you’re wondering: is this Cressona a bionicle fan at all, or just a BZPower member? The answer, my friends, is in This Week in Bionicle, a section in which we’ll give you up-to-date information on the Bionicle story, as new info is revealed, and the sets, as I get them or speculate about them.

    Life, the Universe, and Everything:
They say that everyone’s a bit of a philosopher, and Cressona is no exception: in this final segment, which I’ll update whenever I feel like it (probably about as often as Cressona’s Story, since it’s not as informative as the others), will probably contain some philosophical musings on, well, life, the universe, and everything. I consider it a pretty interesting segment, but I don’t know what the rest of you will think.

And that’s it. I meant this as not only a way to get back into gear with the blog and introduce the Revolution but as a reference section about the categories and all things Revolution. Check back here often for more entries, and to see what's new on BZPower, and in Bionicle in general.

My blog continues to evolve: this latest entry not only has no category, no readers, and no comments, it now has no content either.
I might put up a content-containing entry later about smileys, but I'd have to write it first, and, you know...
Anyway, I still really like Tanma, and I'm actually considering skipping out on a winter Glatorian (that'd be Gresh), and saving up for Mata Nui in the summer. Probably won't come to that, and I'll probably get Gresh eventually, but more on that (kinda) later.
Or not. The more ideas I get about what to put in the blog, the less it seems I actually write. But never fear, I'll add some content any day now.
    -Cressona
  15. Cressona
So I'm thinking about getting a new set. My obvious first choice is Gresh, for all the obvious reasons, and if I was to get a 2009 small set, it'd be Raanu, because of the cool mask (am I the only one who thinks Raanu's mask is really cool?). But... I was thinking, and I was looking at Tanma, who I don't have, and who I still think is really cool. And if my local store doesn't happen to have Gresh, I'm considering getting Tanma. Not as a replacement, but just until I get the chance to pick up Gresh. Cause even a year later, Tanma's still awesome, and I think he beats out any Agori in terms of coolness. Thoughts?
On a completely unrelated note, I have a two midterms tomorrow. Not fun. But at least they'll be over now (I've been having midterms all week).
And now, some pictures of Blagojevich:

Look at me, blogging without a category. That's no way to create a neat, organized blog.
Anyway, I have to go to track practice in the pouring sleet in a few minutes, and I just happened to notice that noone reads my blog.
Just kidding. Having a "secret" blog like this meant that I can write whatever I want and not worry about anyone reading it. Like... Black Six is a stupidhead!
    *gets banned*
Disclaimer: I don't really think Black Six is a stupidhead. He's a cool guy, a great admin, and I have a great deal of respect for him. Also, if Black Six is reading this, I'd like to thank him for the proto boost.
    More entries coming soon!

  17. Cressona
I just can't be a blogger. It's been how many weeks since my last entry, and I've haven't updated the blog at all. All this time, I've been posting and posting and posting, but no blogging at all. I got this brand new set-up, cool new format and everything, and then I just don't use it. At all.
Well, you know what, I'll try to blog some more, but it'll probably be restricted to little random things, and not really following the cool format I was going to do.
I'll get one of those in whenever I get the chance (maybe once a week?), but this really isn't going to go on and become a famous blog, like one that all those famous people have.

It's the last day before school starts, and I finally finished my summer homework! 11 chapters, over 500 questions, a photo essay, and a book report: finally done! Now I have... 18 hours of no responsiblities before school starts!
Just had to let you all know that.
XC practice this morning: 8 o'clock. We all almost died, and not just from waking up so early. 6 800's (count 'em, six), all under or around 3 minutes. Not as extreme as some workouts, but it was fast.
Now I have the rest of the day to sleep, hang out, and get Vultraz. And not work on an epic. I actually have so many completed epic ideas, I just don't write them out. And the one that I'm getting really excited about, the one that takes place during 2002, I still haven't started writing at all. Progress is slow.
Well, that's all for now. Expect a Blog Poll later today, and a Tahu Mata v2.0 later this week.
    -Cressona

Not really. Nothing new. Just thought that, as an "active" BZPer, I should blog a bit. Got the pep rally tonight cuz homecoming's tomorrow. Cross-country gets to go out there, get announced, and sit there while football gets celebrated. Great.
That's all for now. Got to cook dinner now, I'm leaving around 6. Gonna go to Wendy's tomorrow (I have to: when I was running today in XC, I saw that they have a new buffalo chicken burger!). Maybe.
So, yeah, that's it. Thanks for reading.

Decided on a new policy today. Not going to type in complete sentences for a while now. Or, if accidentally complete, at least sentences that seem incomplete. Or short. Why? Because it amuses me.
Also, considering new av. V for Vendetta. Read the comic. Thought it was okay. Not as good as I expected. Still really like the idea of a lunatic in a Guy Fawkes mask blowing stuff up, though. Think about it.
    -Cressona
EDIT: Realized how random I'm feeling right now. That's all. Carry on.
  21. Cressona
I was gonna make a big entry explaining everything and all that, but I kept on... not finishing it... and then I realized that noone was going to read it anyway, so here's what I want to say:
    I was gone.
    I'm back.
Sorry for anything I meant to do and didn't get done. PM me to remind me, please.
    Have a nice day.
