The live streams today have been really fun - excellent interview with Sayger!

This was great! There’s so much variety in the villain sets. Gotta admit I think I voted against almost every Bohrok-Kal haha

Yeah I was wondering the same thing! It felt like not long ago I could scoop up some random things on eBay for cheap cheap cheap. During this year my little nieces and nephews discovered a Lewa Nuva I had and have gotten really into it, and it’s been tough searching for sets to get for them that will be a reasonable price… they’re kids that are 5, 6, 7 - they want to play with these things, not overpay and collect!

Oh my lord that Nuva Cube is insanely cool. I wish terribly that I could buy that!

Sorry, but it’s a little tough to “semantics” this one, as the organization in question gives absolute millions in campaign funding to politicians and is inherently a political organization. You know quite well this is a hot button issue that is politically charged, whether or not you think it should be, and wish casting doesn’t change that.

Just a question: when did BZP start tying itself to blatantly political controversial fundraising organizations?

Ah Adidas used a specially developed foam for the outsersole and midsole to safely absorb the force of stepping on a brick, particularly at night.

So less about Bionicle and more about this internship. I'm currently an Industrial Design Student (on the BFA route) and I'm looking to get a good internship for this upcoming summer. How did you get this internship at Lego? It sounds like an absolute dream and something I'd love to do.

Dude this was awesome!! I love how deep into the Industrial Design process this really dives. Those concept sketches, the ethnographic research, it's really a designer dream come true. I'm really excited to see how the rest of this series shapes up!
I became a designer in large part because of Lego and Bionicle. The Toa showed up on Mata Nui when I was 6, the absolutely perfect timing to just hook me in - but I think even as a kid I could understand, or at least appreciate, some of the design that went into it. Can't wait to see more.
