  1. This is so much win!! I particularly like how you built the head, and the weapon is muy fantastico! Only two qualms with it though;

1- Torso is a bit on the small side

2- Hooves are also a bit bland... What you could've possibly done was to use one of the 2012 armor shells (such as the round-ish one on Evo's shoulder or the one on Bulk's knees).

Great MOC, nonetheless... Best of luck!!!

    :tohu:

Thanks! Torso is a bit small indeed, but I personally kinda liked the odd proportion. As for the hooves, I didn't want to use the HF shells, they would be too big and exxagerated, and I wanted something closer to real Ram hooves.

Very nice design. The parts on the legs mesh together nicely, despite some somewhat distracting contrast between the White Hero Factory shells, the Metallic White Rahkshi feet, and the Light Stone Grey Piraka shells. The posture is very unique, and yet despite its complexity and the small surface area of the hooves, the figure can balance pretty effectively (helped by the axe/club/staff).The shape of the horns is a wonderful detail. I also like the hooves, claws, and well-organized textures (with mainly framework-like textures for the Dark Red elements and smoother textures for most of the White elements). Great work overall, and good luck in the contest!

Thank you! I see what you mean about the whites, they are indeed an issue I never quite got around... As for standing, it actually can stand without the staff as support, its just a bit harder.

  2. Pretty good. I like the swords and the bits of yellow. The scope thing was clever. I'm not a big fan of the brown/red combination, but here it doesn't bother me much. I only think there could either more of brown on the arms of lessof it on the legs, to make the color distribution better. Also, there must be another way of using those as shoulder pads without limiting the movement. Anyway, still a nice MOC!

  3. Personally, I like this version of the F33 series even better than some of Felix's versions, mainly because of the color scheme -- black and gunmetal gray go very well together. The combination of the rounded Bohrok faceplate and Hero Factory shoulder pads works very well to give it a smooth, rounded aesthetic, balanced out by the blocker armor pieces on its arms and legs. In my opinion this looks very robotic, so props to you there. Does the faceplate open, or is that just for looks? Whatever the case, it flows seamlessly into the Hero Factory armor paneling around it, as well as the shoulder pads (you know, those pieces from Corroder). Good job!Otherwise, his handheld gun is rather simple in design, but it does look like a sniper rifle. I would recommend trying to make it a single color such as light gray, since the darker gray midsection and black tip stick out just a tad. My only other recommendation is that you might want to give this guy slightly larger feet, but it they were meant to be small for sneaking around, that's fine too.~B~

Thank you! Unfortunately, the faceplate doesn't open, its just for looks :( I tried making the gun all light grey, but them I would have to make it shorter, and the axle inside would show. Anyways, thanks for the commetns, its much appreciated.

I think I actually like this one even better than the original! I for one like the way you built the feet, although I can see where everyone else is coming from.I keep trying to think of something else to say, but if I say I love this then I have to say I love that and if I say I love that - so on and so forth. It's all just so good.

Well, thanks! I'm pretty surprised at how well this is being received. It was a relatively quick build.

  4. Thank you all! Yeah, the build is kinda simple, I was focusing more on the flow and design themselves here than on the build. About the feet: they were supposed to be tiny and more robot-ish, but perhaps it actually could have been better.... As for the gun, actually it was made before I built the whole thing and was supposed to be blocky, but yeah, there might be a design clash between them indeed. I personally like it, though.

  5. Thank you! I was worried that the missiles might have clashed with the rest of her, so it's good to hear they don't appear to.Didn't know you had a BZP account, by the way. I guess you're not too active on here.
You're welcome! Yeah, I only drop by here occasionally, and don't comment much. In some way, i'm more of a luker, I guess :P
  6. Well, this thing has potential. I like its size - by and large, impressiveness is linked to size. However, when looked at with a more discerning eye, the MOC shows its flaws. To begin with, there are too many colors. No matter how big or small a given MOC is, four colors is the maximum you can use - and even then, that's pushing it. Three is a good number, in my opinion - main-on-secondary, with highlights of some other color. Here, you have two kinds of silver, black, yellow, white, red, trans-red, trans-green, light gray, lime green, and trans-orange - a whopping eleven different colors by my count. The good news is that, considering the size of the MOC, more than one shade of highlight can be used. Unfortunately, you still end up with too many colors. This is evident even on the six-color Hero - why is his right arm a different color?Aside from the color scheme, the layering could use some work - and it's a difficult problem to fix. The larger the MOC, the harder it is to get colors right - you almost have to get a stockpile of a bunch of a certain color and try to stick to using those parts throughout the entire MOC.Anent the shaping, I have few complaints. I like the cockpit, and I like the sturdiness of the legs and arms. I do think the limbs could be moved in slightly - a few studs could do the trick. Right now they just look like they're hanging on.Anyway, enough with the critiques. I like where you're going with this and I think it has potential to be a great MOC. :)
Thanks for your opinion! As for the colors, I tried to stick with as less as I could, but I got short of pieces. Still, I consider it just 4: light grey, yellow, black and silver(I never pay much attention to the different shades, as they usually get mixed in photography, still, I tried to keep them less evident by keeping them apart). The others, as you said, are highlights (red is for weapons, trans-green are front lights and trans-orange are back lights). I don't know where you've seen lime green, as it has none. I do believe that I shouldn't have used the trans-red, as, so far, nobody got the idea of them being lasers... Regarding the pilot, I made it mostly just to show it can have a pilot. Didn't put effort on it. But yeah, the yellow arm was supposed to be some kind of military stuff, like, pilots have yellow arms or something. But mostly its was just to give some assymetry... Anyway, thanks for the critique.
  7. that's insane. that should be submitted to cusoo. because I would buy it.can it fit any hero? or just a specific one?
Thanks for the comment! I wouldn't submit it to cusoo, though, I dont think its commercially viable. But I really appreciate your enthusiasm! As for your question, I didn't test with other heroes, but I believe it can fit most, as long as you remove the more protuding bits and clear the back (its connected there) .
  8. Well, it has been quite some time since I last came here. Anyways... Heres what I made in the meantime . Probably the biggest (and definitely the hardest) MOC I ever MOcced.Click!Gallery here (it has the most pics, and also some commentary) : http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/338356or you can just take a look here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/johanndakitsch/sets/72157631217925242/with/7848915702/Comments and feedback always appreciated.Edit: Image linked - please keep posted images in BBC to 640x640 pixels and 100 kB!-Wind-
