Alternative Titles: This Thing Just Proved I'm Psychic

So, all intentions of not posting again 'til the morning. Then I noticed Nintendo Video had an update. So I look, and it's a 'coming soon' thing. It says in the description 'Drown in the Now', and I think "Huh. Well that seems like the song by the Crystal Metjod. Naaaah, can't be." *Loads the video* *Is almost instantly proven right not just by it out and out saying so, but also playing a part of the song* "0_o Wow. So called that."

Nothing important, but at 12 AM, you'd be surprised what's considered important. Llike sleep. Sleep is nice. I want sleep. But not ice. Ice can stay away along with snow. =P

Alternative titles: Because I Haven't Blogged About Megaman Much Since Bzp Returned

/EDIT: Finally finished; sorry for the wait. Blame the 3DS for having a character limit. xD

So, I just finished thrashing the final boss of Zero 4 for like the hundredth time in 2 years. Yes, I know, shocking.

This has to do with ending spoilers, but hey, the collection's been out for 2 years, the game itself for like 8 years(... I feel old, I remember wanting to play it right when it came out. D=), so if you haven't played the game and beat it; What are you waiting for?!

So, uh, anyway. Back to what I was saying. So, Zero fight Weil, gives his whole "I never called myself a hero" speech, and promptly blows Weil to pieces. And, coincidentally, himself. Whoops. So, while Ciel has a nice little mental breakdown, he lies in pieces in a desert. OR DOES HE? What are the chances, honestly of the only thing surviving an atmospherical entrance being a not-so-damaged helmet and an intact sword? I know people have dealt with my conspiracy theories every time I played through the end of this game... But... It seems too convenient. Sure, the guy deserves his rest before being turned into a living rock only to sacrifice himself again... But... It seems very odd that the sabre just happens to make a humanoid shadow, and also just so happens to be completely intact. If it was even partly broken it wouldn't make that shadow, no?

And honestly, for being on a free-falling piece of satellite that plunged through the atmosphere, his helmet doesn't look that bad. Sure, it's missing pieces, but the guy just finished like 10 battles in a row, logic says he'll take damage.(Now, the player on the other hand...) The helmet should be totally destroyed, is what I'm getting at. No miraculous 'Oh, it just happens to still have it's shape so you know it's him', if you want that, have one piece of broken red helmet with the gem... Not pretty much the whole thing.

Might Iadd this is a series that makes a habit of surviving unplausible things?(Zero himself is bad for this... See the shuttle crash from X5 that he just so happens to survive, both slamming into a space colony, and proceeding to get his waist blown off, his arm destroyed, and a laser through the chest, and still manages to kill Sigma with a laser blast of his own before 'dying'. Did I mention he just happened to have enough body left to either 'repair himself', have someone else repair him, or just plain have his body eventually be stolen in time for the Zero series?)

Let's see... In order... Robot Timeline: Wily had a brick dropped on him in the third game. He got better. Protoman was supposedly dying. He got better(Then died for real by the time the X series rolled along. =P). Then a century later, Vile had X and Zero trapped. Zero decided to be heroic and self-destructed to give X a chance. He got better. Sigma died in every X game, but the problem is that he won't stay dead. Also Vile, he died in the first game, got better for the third and promptly died again, returned for the eighth game... Do I have to say it? He died. I wouldn't honestly be surprised if he returns for a ninth game, provided Capcom makes one. Then there's the whole X5 death for Zero... spoiler, he got better. Then, for the Zero series, we have Phantom, destroyed in first game, returns in third... Though, that was in 'cyberspace'. Heck, X died in Z2, and continued to play a role until the end of Z3. Aside from that, the Zero series was Ironically tame with this.

Then we have the ZX series. They revived pretty much every dead character from the Zero series, if the form of living rocks. And then there's the whole twist in ZXA, where the main bad guy seems to die... But pulls an Aizen on us, as the body was fake. And Model Z sacrifices himself. Again. I notice a pattern here, anyone else? Wasn't too much happening in Legends(That we know about. >_>), but there were a few 'How'd they survive THAT moments with the Bonnes. And Trigger himself, before the series started. And don't get me started on the body switching from Legends 2.(My 3DS is taunting me. It nearly had me typo that with 3 instead of 2. >=/)

That's just the classic series. Network Timeline: Where do I start... Wily. Didn't he die in the first game? If not, why wasn't he directly around for BN2? I forget that, since I haven't played 1. I can't forget 2! There is no way Lan should be alive, I don't care what anyone says. He walked right into the middle of a nuclear zone, and somehow survived. Granted, he never died, but... He should have. Not complaining, since Lan's awesome, but he's too lucky. xD Then 3... I believe that's when the 'they died' 'nope i got better' situation started... See: Megaman dying, but actually being okay; Wily surviving his base exploding. Then there's 4, where Regal jumps off his base's platform... And survives for 5. Which leads me into that... I can't remember how many supposed deaths there were in 5; Navi or otherwise. However, the main ones were that Regal apparently died again; but survived it somehow with mild amnesia. Take note the guy was in an exploding volcano base, right next to a probably nuclear device that was intended to merge the virtual world with the physical one. And he survived. And don't get me started on Wily and Baryl, who were there too(Albeit probably in different variants, I don't believe they were both there in the same game. Could be wrong, though.). And both were perfectly okay for 6. And speaking of 6; I forget what the ending was entirely, but Baryl was in a room. That exploded. And if I remember correctly, he still managed to be revealed to have survived. Think Wily died, though. Or maybe he survived too; dunno, I kinda rushed through the ending of BN6 so that I could play the endgame without that stupid Panic Music. =P

That was all just Battle Network. Then there's Star Force. It's much tamer; in the first two games, at least. Let's see: First game's obvious; Geo's dad, supposedly dead on that spaceship explosion; turns out he was simply turned into EM waves. Then, in the second game, when Solo creates a black hole that drags all of Geo's friends but Luna into it. They should be dead; but no! Not even two seconds later; right in the next cutscene, they're revealed to be alive. Turns out it just transported them elsewhere. And of course the exploding Mu, when Geo just happens to be in Solo's way, and gets saved. Only the bonus ending actually explains that, though, IIRC. =P

But then there's Star Force 3. Oooh boy. First of all: Luna dies. And gets brought back to life. FROM DATA. How?! But, wait! That's just the start. Well, kinda. Before we had Club Strong, who was fragmented in a similar attack, and reassembled. Didn't work out as well. So, that's two. Then we have Ace; who somehow managed to absorb an explosion, make everyone be convinced he died and grieve for him; and then somehow manage to be just lying in a hospital bed at the end. No explanation for that one at all. He shouldn't even have had the data needed, given all the noise that was around. But wait; there's still more. The gambits at the end all involved deaths of some sort. First off; King dies; but not really, he gets better in time to try and take over the final boss. Didn't work out too well, though, IIRC. And how could anyone forget the fact that after utterly decimating the last boss, Geo's left stranded in space, with seemingly no way to get home? Well, he manages it, surviving an atmospheric reentry better than either time Zero did so, not having a single scratch. Then Omega-Xis does it. Then Geo's father. All three survived reentry. And yet Zero apparently can't in his own game series? Very suspicious.

So; yeah; back to Zero. If all those characters can survive impossible stuff, including not one, not two, but three shooting star moments(Literally for one, since he's Shooting Star Rockman. =P); I just don't see how Zero couldn't have, especially with his damaged, but not destroyed, equipment.

    Alternative Titles: Zoom Zoom Wuhu!

Yes, that was intentional, for the Alternate title. =P

So, playing Mirror Mode for the Flower Cup. I get hit somehow right before the finish line(I think it was a red shell, not sure)... So, naturally, someone passes me. I still have a banana peel, so I try that; too far away. So, I notice I'm gaining speed... So I try to pass. Well; I passed literally right on the line, got the win, and spun out on my own banana peel. xD I honestly didn't expect to win that time, simply because of that! xD

Alternative Titles: Further Proof The Zelda Rpg Is Awesome

So, we're playing along, playing along, and a situation occurs where a player's character needs a subtle hint to go forward, or be stopped. I could have a mysterious old woman show up; have the Big Bad be ICed to either stop him or help him, depending on his mood; I could have had that map show him the location of where he needs to go, however unplausible it is.

What do I do? I USE THE ENVIRONMENT ITSELF! That's right! Oracle of Detsiny has the environment as an NPC, as Terminus pointed out. Given that two players commented on how that was different, and I honestly don't recall any other usages of things like that, I'm gonna say this is a first for BZP RPG land. =D

So, if you ever feel that that sudden rainstorm after an overkill defeat was just salt on the wound, don't feel too bad, the environment is sentient. xD
  5. Blessed Blade
Alternative Title: So You're Gonna Knock Me Off The Course Eh...

So. I've been recently trying to 3 star the 150CC courses... I've gotten three cups done so, and now finished my fourth. That was a massive pain, though. xD

The first two tracks were fine, though there were some panic moments on DK Jungle(Not Rosalina's Ice World, it's one of the best courses on this game. =P).

Then I get to Bowser's Castle. I hate that track, I really do. ' For one, when you drift after the first/second thwomp, you have a 90% chance of sliding right off the track, and landing in the lava. -5 seconds, head to 6th place. Then there's the underwater part. Multiple sections like that. -10 seconds, fall to 7th place. Then there's all the blue shells and such so that when you do get into 1st place, you get knocked out. I had to do this track twice because of that; I fell off the track literally right before the end of the third lap, and no matter how hard I tried, there was simply not enough time to catch up. So, after I beat that a second time, it was onto Rainbow Road.

I was leading that more or less a good chunk of the time; though there was an absolutely cheap move right at the beginning, I somehow got hit by something, and got thrown off the track at the first ramp section. That was fine, I got back my lead by the time I got to the rings, and kept my lead all the way past, though there were a few times I was surprised that I didn't fall. Then you get to that spinning section that has the jumps following it. Surprisingly, I didn't mess up on the jump and get hurled into Oblivion(Though how I'd have gotten into an Elder Scrolls game is beyond me...); but my panic didn't help; I made a couple jumps, and then hurled myself off into Oblivion(There it is again!). I get set back onto the track with only about maybe a fourth or fifth of the race left; I make my way past those dang ramps, and hit an item box.

LIGHTNING GET! >=D I begin to drift, and hit the L button as soon as I could... Instantly, the entire group of opponents is sent spinning, and some even get knocked off the track. I then start laughing out loud literally, as I pass them all easily, without even having a mushroom or drifting, and proceed to win the race. This was literally right before the finish line; the last two turns! xD When the fall happened I was going "NO, NO, NO!!" And then when I got the lightning, that turned into "YES, YES, YES, TAKE THAT!!" Overall just awesome, as i did not want to replay that race again. =P Now to finish the rest... *Starts the other 'last' cup first* No way am I saving the SNES Rainbow Road for last... That'll be even more of a pain. >_>

Alternative Titles: I Want My Exp Dang It!

So, yeah, total opposite of that other entry. =P

I dunno what I've been doing, but I should do it more often. =P Every second match toady on Goldeneye has had a host quit of some sort. In fact; just now, I got into a match, and it hadn't even started and the host quit!

I must just be that awesome. B) ... Certainly doesn't help me get the last 8000 or so EXP I need to get to level 35, though...
  7. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: I Just Remembered Why I Don't Play These Games

No, I'm not making a category for this, as this'll probably be the last entry about it. =P

So, playing through the 'hard' mode of REvelations: The Demo. So far so good, I survive until the huge room with all the tables again. Then I get to where you get the scanner. Sounds good enough, except in that room there's machine gun shells.

That's fine and all, Capcom, but where's the machine gun to go with it? xD

Needless to say, because I only had one bullet left, I died very quickly after that, though I actually hit the zombies more.

I said that I remembered why I don't play the RE games in the alternate title... But, honestly, I think Half Life 2's Ravenholm section got me some immunity, as while I jumped at one point, I didn't find it that scary. Ravenholm got more reaction out of me. =P
  8. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: Join A Battle Leave A Battle

So; was just randomly going from match to match on Goldeneye, partially because I've also been refreshing BZP and such. However, just now, I got into a match of Heroes, and just as I was about to get into the match, the host quit.

Looks like this host... *Puts on sunglasses* Couldn't handle the awesome party.

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH! ... Okay, okay, maybe not the best one ever, but hey, I had trouble thinking up stuff related to host. =P

    Only need two more levels to unlock the final mode of the online portion of Goldeneye. That'll take a while; as it took me like three days to get to level 33. ._.;
  9. Blessed Blade
    Other Titles: All RIGHT!

So... I'm playing over on Archives. I'm shooting people with the shotgun as usual... And then I get killed. HOWEVER! At the exact same time, I fire the shotgun, and get my killer, with a headshot to boot. I love revenge kills. =P

Then, I start playing on the facility... I spawn Bond, and then camp(Yes, I know, I know... *Hangs head*) in one of the ventilation shafts. I keep my safety up with a proxy mine; however, two start to attack. I toss a proxy at them; one moves forward, and blows up both. =P

Then, I'm typing this, right? Well, one of the enemies was a little uh... dumb. He decides to camp in the exact vent I'm in. I decided to give him a nice little pat on the back in return. =)
  10. Blessed Blade
This is pretty much a list of who has what item in the game. Making it now so that I don't have tons of stuff to go through later on. xD Will sort by member, though it'll be random, or based off which member I see first. =P

Eventually, once other stuff, like magic, is introduced, I will upgrade this system to include magical abilities as well.

    -NPC-

    Link: Unknown items
    Zelda: Unknown items

    -Blade-

    Orion: L1 Sword, L1 Shield
    Kreena: L1 Sword, L1 Shield

    -Korkoa-

    Korkoa: No items
    Lealna: L1 Sword, L1 Shield

    -Terminus-

    Siris: L1 Sword, L1 Shield

    -Minun-

    Denkaro: Pen, Paper
    Darren: Backpack Full Of Supplies

    -PowerMiner-

    William: L1 Sword, L1 Shield, L1 Bow

    -Detranix-

    Tobias: L1 Sword, L1 Shield

Other Titles: My First Cot And Bzp Rpg

    So, yeah, shameless plug.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Destiny just got approved by Than earlier this evening, and now it is ready for play. I probably should have mentioned that that was the opening IC in the topic, but, well, I left that out. My mistake.

However, I have awesome plans for this, and I don't believe anyone will want to miss them. =D
  12. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: A Role Playing Game In Need

So, if you've been reading Parugi's blog recently, you'll know that Day Run isn't doing the best it can do. It's got votes, yes, but it's still behind the others. It can do better, and really, this last round is all it needs to finish up it's story.

Would you want something canceled before it's story is finished? No? Then please vote for Day Run, so that it's story can be finished, for all of us.
  13. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: That's How I Fly

At this rate, I'll need to make a Mario Kart category too... xD

So. I just played through 50CC Special Cup. Rainbow Road, to be precise. I was in first for a lot of the race, but that last part with all the star rings threw me off the course. I then had to catch up, as Koopa passed me. Fell off again, but both times I timed the boost correctly, and got just enough speed, combined with the jump ramp boost trick, to barely get past Koopa, and win.

I was honestly kinda shocked. =P I guess that happens when you nearly lose.

Now I just need to finish off the Retro courses part to hopefully get the Mii unlocked.(I lost on the Bowser course, so hopefully that doesn't count against me...)
  14. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: How I Found Out My Kart Racing Skills Have Declined

So, yeah, I have MK7 now. If anyone wishes to race me, join either the BZP community(The code's in Kohaku's Blog or the Mario Kart topic in COT), or you could add me as a friend; my Friend Code's in my profile. Try and PM me before you add me, though, just so I know to add your Friend Code in return. =P

The game's very good. It's just me that's not good, at the controls, that is. xD ... Then again, I was playing at like midnight last night, so tired reflexes might be part of it. =P
  15. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: And Yet Another New Category

So... I finished Inheritance today. I should have had it done back around when Skyward Sword was released. ... But, well, that explains everything, doesn't it? =P

The ending wasn't bad, but, I must admit, it was a little sad, in a way. I so called that one thing that happened, however. xD

I'll keep this free of spoilers, because it's something people should read for themselves.
  16. Blessed Blade
    Other Titles: Widescreen Monitor Woot

So, yeah, if you couldn't tell from the 'Other titles' section... I now have a widescreen monitor. Flatscreen too. Which takes me another step into maybe being sometime this decade. =P Still got an old computer, but hopefully that might be next to be upgraded...

But yeah. Gotta get used to the difference, and the fact that it's way bigger than before, but it is pretty cool. And I might just be able to do more things now. xD But, then again, it's only 1366 by 768, so maybe it's only bigger in terms of wide-screen stuff. =P
  17. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: No Snooze Button Here

So, if anyone's been looking at the COT RPG Planning Topic in the last day or so, you'll see that I've expressed interest in making a Zelda RPG here.

Well, I've got a Co-host, I believe I have most of the RPG's first post ready, and I'm not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.

So, that means that anyone who wishes to have a Zelda RPG here should keep an eye on the planning topic soon, as it should be up by the end of tonight, and provided everyone thinks it looks good, it'll be in the Request topic by the end of tomorrow. =D
  18. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: Fingers Flying Across A Musical Keyboard

And yet another category added. I'm good at finding entries to add categories with. =P

Anyway. This song is from Skyward Sword. It's one of the central songs, in fact. =P And I'm trying to play it on my Keyboard. I've got the main part that's played on the harp down(If I didn't, I'd have to wonder, since it's Zelda's Lullaby backwards. >_>'), however, I don't have a clue what the notes for the other two sections are, so I'm more or less just mashing the keys randomly, hoping something works. Doesn't help that it's a fast paced song. xD

I need to eventually try some of the other tracks on that orchestrated CD, Track 8, which is this song, is probably going to get worn out at this rate. Doesn't help that it's one of my favourite tracks on the CD. xD
  19. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: Otherwise Known As 8-bit Link To The Past

So! Good news! Nintendo finally found Canada on the map, and sent eShop prepaid cards here. So; that means I can now actually buy stuff from the 3DS eShop. Take a wild guess what the first thing I got was. =P

Link's Awakening DX is awesome. Dunno if I'd want to play the original version, though it might be nice to try. If, of course, there was someone I knew that had the original and a working Gameboy. =P

But, I haven't yet even gotten to the first dungeon. I'm mostly procrastinating, and exploring to see how far I can get without the Roc's Feather. xD

All these 2D games that have the Jumping ability, however, makes me wish that there was a 3D game that had a Roc's Cape or Roc's Feather. D= Nintendo! If you're listening, and you're making a 3D Zelda game for the 3DS, please include the Roc's Item as one of the items you can find. That would be awesome. =D
  20. Blessed Blade
Other titles: Why Phantom Hourglass Is Awesome

So; I'm playing the Battle mode of Phantom Hourglass, right?(Aside from being surprised that there are still people playing it, four, nearly five years later) I crush the first guy under my foot a couple times.

Second guy I play, defeats me by a silly way. Nearly had him, and he tossed my Force Gems out just enough so that I lose. >_>'

Second game; I barely beat him.

Third game? I'm on my way to utterly destroying him; but just as I have almost all the Force Gems, guess what? The game pauses. Which never happens under normal circumstances, so I start laughing. Next minute, my suspicions are confirmed, as it says "Your opponent has left."

This is why I love this game; I have people disconnect; and I still manage to laugh at it. =P

That said, I wanna have a steady stream of points for both my files(Though that second file might be deleted and remade soon), so, if anyone on here wishes to play me tomorrow or on the weekend, just comment in here, or PM me. =P
  21. Blessed Blade
Alternate Title: Echoes Are Good Too

So, uh, anyone here still play Phantom Hourglass?

And, uh, for that matter, anyone play the online mode of Phantom Hourglass? xD I was thinking of going on the online mode, or even starting a new file to try and complete that, but, well, it's not exactly something I should try, if no-one plays online, as that's pretty much one of the only ways to get some things that you need for 100% on PH. =/
  22. Blessed Blade
    Other Titles: Well Not Really

So, I'm getting near the end of Minish Cap. Unfortunate, yes, but I still have stuff to do afterward anyway. =P

Which leads into the main reason for this. Nintendo. If you're going to give a reward for all 136 figurines, make sure people can't get into the place that gives said reward with only 130 figurines. xD I have all 20 Hearts before the end of the game because of this reason. I'm not complaining, I'm just finding this hilarious. xD
  23. Blessed Blade
    Other Titles: Fusion... Ha!

I'm honestly surprised at it's length, now that I'm playing it again. xD

Most of this is all because of the Kinstone Fusions, of course. =P ... And that Cucco catching minigame that could stay as far away from this game as possible.

But really, I've just finished the fourth dungeon, and given how much is left after this, I'm both impressed by the length, and saddened that my first file on the ambassador game is nearly done. xD ... Though, that's only one file on one game. I still have the rest to complete. ._.'

The side-stuff in this is really hard to keep track of, however, especially when you have like 140+ things to find in total, between the Heart Pieces and Kinstone fusions, and the upgrades, and everything. xD
  24. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: Oh So That's What The Introductory Video Was For

I owe you an apology, F-Zero. I don't fail at playing the game anymore.

Turns out I was doing it wrong. =P I should've watched the video that pops up when you press select at the start screen. 'How to play F-Zero' would've helped me a while ago. =P

Now I've gotten first in almost all the courses in the Pawn circuit... The only one I haven't gotten first on in that, is the final one, and I got second.(I would've had first too, if the vehicle behind me hadn't decided to swoop in at literally the last possible moment to win. >_>)

Still not sure on one thing though... How to land. =P
  25. Blessed Blade
Other Titles: A Portable Version Of A Portable Mario Bros.

Or, rather re-release, whatever. =P The main point of this, is to point out the fact that Mario Bros. is included in this game. Which means if you really want to be complete, there's 11 free games in the GBA department. =P(Not counting the obscene amounts of minigames in the WarioWare title...)

In a way, this helps me, because my Super Mario World cart died on me this year. D= It's contacts are toast. Doesn't help me play Super Mario World itself, but now I can play Mario Bros to waste time whenever I want, and the only thing that could stop me is my 3DS itself dying. =P

Also, I fail at F-Zero. That is all.
