Alternative Titles: Now What Would This Be Called... The Unconnected Master Sword?

So; finished the second piece of the Master Sword last night; now I have the handle and the blade done(Though I notice the blade still needs some more work. Ah well, can't get everything perfect until it's all finished anyway. =P); still no textures, though to make the parts look better, I put some materials on the objects; purple colouring for the handle and hilt, and a silver....ish... colouring for the blade, with a little mirroring for the moment, so it looks like it's made of metal.

Of course, since I'm only working on the hilt now(This oughta be fun...), I only have a handle and blade, both of which are unconnected, though it's really beginning to resemble the Master Sword. But, since it doesn't have the pattern on the blade yet, I'm half tempted to make two hilts; one unpowered, and one true form. =P

Also, I asked the question on my status update yesterday, but for the engraving on the blade, and the gem; are they visible from both sides of the sword, or just one side? It's important to when I go to texture everything. =/(Have no real clue how I'll get the engraving on the blade aside from cheating and making a separate object for that. =P Gem should be easy, though it'd be a similar situation.)

Well, it's kinda been completed for a few months, but, well, I haven't had a chance to really get a screenshot. The textures aren't all on, and probably won't be for a while, but it works rather well as it is. =)

    Link to rendered image.

I need to scale it down, if I ever use that for a test sword model, it outscales the rest of my test models by a Longshot. ... Which gives me an idea for a possible object to make next, if I continue a Zelda pattern. =P

If you guys want, of course, you can give me requests for stuff to make. =D Speaking of which, I need to work on that tea cup that Alex had suggested a while back; I got distracted by the Game Engine stuff. xD

Alternative Titles: I Finally Got To Combine The Creativity Category With The Music Category!

So, what have I been up to, other than disappearing for my birthday and using Blender? Well, getting a slight cold. But aside from that? Playing Cave Story and Megaman. But that's not what this is about, oh no. What this is about, is me playing my keyboard. And no, not the thing I'm using to type this; I mean what's essentially a piano. And what overplayed song from Megaman 2 have I been playing more often than not recently? No, not the title theme, I'm still learning that. No, the song that's probably only second to the X vs. Zero fight from Megaman X5 in terms of remixes. The Dr. Wily Stage 1 theme.

I've been trying it for a couple days now, but today and last night was the first time I actually got further than an off-key redition of the first part. I actually figured out the notes, for when you're only playing one note at a time(Since I still fail at playing the Keyboard with 'chords', and it's closer to the 8-bit version this way), in part thanks to different videos on the net. I still mess up some of the notes when I try to speed through it at the normal speed, but when I concentrate, the only times I mess up, are me hitting the wrong notes because I can't reach far enough; or me just missing the right key by accident.

My next try, will likely be the Protoman Whistle Theme used for MM3's ending, but we'll see.

Other Titles: Retro Gaming Once More

Lemme start this off by saying that I have never beaten the first three Megaman X games, even though I've played each many times, and have played the Megaman X Collection. Even though I've beaten every single other game in the series.

Now, last year, Megaman Zero Collection came out. Some of the four hardest games you'll see, that's not named 'Half Life'. =P So, I beat them all.

I recently was able to play Megaman X, and I've beaten at least 3 of the 8 initial bosses already. I've been speeding through the stages, aside from Launch Octopus's stage, which is just plain brutal to get the Heart Tank.

I don't know if it's because I've 100% completed the Zero games or what...

And regardless of this fact, I've only beaten 2(That is, Megaman 2, not two games) of all the classic games. xD

Alternative titles: Because I Haven't Blogged About Megaman Much Since Bzp Returned

/EDIT: Finally finished; sorry for the wait. Blame the 3DS for having a character limit. xD

So, I just finished thrashing the final boss of Zero 4 for like the hundredth time in 2 years. Yes, I know, shocking.

This has to do with ending spoilers, but hey, the collection's been out for 2 years, the game itself for like 8 years(... I feel old, I remember wanting to play it right when it came out. D=), so if you haven't played the game and beat it; What are you waiting for?!

So, uh, anyway. Back to what I was saying. So, Zero fight Weil, gives his whole "I never called myself a hero" speech, and promptly blows Weil to pieces. And, coincidentally, himself. Whoops. So, while Ciel has a nice little mental breakdown, he lies in pieces in a desert. OR DOES HE? What are the chances, honestly of the only thing surviving an atmospherical entrance being a not-so-damaged helmet and an intact sword? I know people have dealt with my conspiracy theories every time I played through the end of this game... But... It seems too convenient. Sure, the guy deserves his rest before being turned into a living rock only to sacrifice himself again... But... It seems very odd that the sabre just happens to make a humanoid shadow, and also just so happens to be completely intact. If it was even partly broken it wouldn't make that shadow, no?

And honestly, for being on a free-falling piece of satellite that plunged through the atmosphere, his helmet doesn't look that bad. Sure, it's missing pieces, but the guy just finished like 10 battles in a row, logic says he'll take damage.(Now, the player on the other hand...) The helmet should be totally destroyed, is what I'm getting at. No miraculous 'Oh, it just happens to still have it's shape so you know it's him', if you want that, have one piece of broken red helmet with the gem... Not pretty much the whole thing.

Might Iadd this is a series that makes a habit of surviving unplausible things?(Zero himself is bad for this... See the shuttle crash from X5 that he just so happens to survive, both slamming into a space colony, and proceeding to get his waist blown off, his arm destroyed, and a laser through the chest, and still manages to kill Sigma with a laser blast of his own before 'dying'. Did I mention he just happened to have enough body left to either 'repair himself', have someone else repair him, or just plain have his body eventually be stolen in time for the Zero series?)

Let's see... In order... Robot Timeline: Wily had a brick dropped on him in the third game. He got better. Protoman was supposedly dying. He got better(Then died for real by the time the X series rolled along. =P). Then a century later, Vile had X and Zero trapped. Zero decided to be heroic and self-destructed to give X a chance. He got better. Sigma died in every X game, but the problem is that he won't stay dead. Also Vile, he died in the first game, got better for the third and promptly died again, returned for the eighth game... Do I have to say it? He died. I wouldn't honestly be surprised if he returns for a ninth game, provided Capcom makes one. Then there's the whole X5 death for Zero... spoiler, he got better. Then, for the Zero series, we have Phantom, destroyed in first game, returns in third... Though, that was in 'cyberspace'. Heck, X died in Z2, and continued to play a role until the end of Z3. Aside from that, the Zero series was Ironically tame with this.

Then we have the ZX series. They revived pretty much every dead character from the Zero series, if the form of living rocks. And then there's the whole twist in ZXA, where the main bad guy seems to die... But pulls an Aizen on us, as the body was fake. And Model Z sacrifices himself. Again. I notice a pattern here, anyone else? Wasn't too much happening in Legends(That we know about. >_>), but there were a few 'How'd they survive THAT moments with the Bonnes. And Trigger himself, before the series started. And don't get me started on the body switching from Legends 2.(My 3DS is taunting me. It nearly had me typo that with 3 instead of 2. >=/)

That's just the classic series. Network Timeline: Where do I start... Wily. Didn't he die in the first game? If not, why wasn't he directly around for BN2? I forget that, since I haven't played 1. I can't forget 2! There is no way Lan should be alive, I don't care what anyone says. He walked right into the middle of a nuclear zone, and somehow survived. Granted, he never died, but... He should have. Not complaining, since Lan's awesome, but he's too lucky. xD Then 3... I believe that's when the 'they died' 'nope i got better' situation started... See: Megaman dying, but actually being okay; Wily surviving his base exploding. Then there's 4, where Regal jumps off his base's platform... And survives for 5. Which leads me into that... I can't remember how many supposed deaths there were in 5; Navi or otherwise. However, the main ones were that Regal apparently died again; but survived it somehow with mild amnesia. Take note the guy was in an exploding volcano base, right next to a probably nuclear device that was intended to merge the virtual world with the physical one. And he survived. And don't get me started on Wily and Baryl, who were there too(Albeit probably in different variants, I don't believe they were both there in the same game. Could be wrong, though.). And both were perfectly okay for 6. And speaking of 6; I forget what the ending was entirely, but Baryl was in a room. That exploded. And if I remember correctly, he still managed to be revealed to have survived. Think Wily died, though. Or maybe he survived too; dunno, I kinda rushed through the ending of BN6 so that I could play the endgame without that stupid Panic Music. =P

That was all just Battle Network. Then there's Star Force. It's much tamer; in the first two games, at least. Let's see: First game's obvious; Geo's dad, supposedly dead on that spaceship explosion; turns out he was simply turned into EM waves. Then, in the second game, when Solo creates a black hole that drags all of Geo's friends but Luna into it. They should be dead; but no! Not even two seconds later; right in the next cutscene, they're revealed to be alive. Turns out it just transported them elsewhere. And of course the exploding Mu, when Geo just happens to be in Solo's way, and gets saved. Only the bonus ending actually explains that, though, IIRC. =P

But then there's Star Force 3. Oooh boy. First of all: Luna dies. And gets brought back to life. FROM DATA. How?! But, wait! That's just the start. Well, kinda. Before we had Club Strong, who was fragmented in a similar attack, and reassembled. Didn't work out as well. So, that's two. Then we have Ace; who somehow managed to absorb an explosion, make everyone be convinced he died and grieve for him; and then somehow manage to be just lying in a hospital bed at the end. No explanation for that one at all. He shouldn't even have had the data needed, given all the noise that was around. But wait; there's still more. The gambits at the end all involved deaths of some sort. First off; King dies; but not really, he gets better in time to try and take over the final boss. Didn't work out too well, though, IIRC. And how could anyone forget the fact that after utterly decimating the last boss, Geo's left stranded in space, with seemingly no way to get home? Well, he manages it, surviving an atmospheric reentry better than either time Zero did so, not having a single scratch. Then Omega-Xis does it. Then Geo's father. All three survived reentry. And yet Zero apparently can't in his own game series? Very suspicious.

So; yeah; back to Zero. If all those characters can survive impossible stuff, including not one, not two, but three shooting star moments(Literally for one, since he's Shooting Star Rockman. =P); I just don't see how Zero couldn't have, especially with his damaged, but not destroyed, equipment.

So. Day 2 of returning to messing around with The GIMP. Still not going to try and do stuff by hand; I'm not all too certain how people manage to do that, and do it right. So, instead, I'm making stuff based almost entirely exclusively off filters; like I used to do. I do think I went a little overboard in that respect, though, as I ended up with four different images based off the same base combination of filters. >>'

Extra question, what colour is that on the outside edges? >=D

    Hmm, it's rippling, I don't think that's a good si-

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa- oof.

And yes, those filenames have meaning. =P Think of the series of images like one of those super attacks you sometimes hear of or see in games. I have another image which would pretty much be another character's personal variant of the first image, but it's green, of course. =P Green Gravity Supernova I nicknamed that one.

Other Titles: Maybe Playing This After Other M Was Released Was Good After All

Intriguing. Samus makes a direct mention to Fusion being the second time she took orders from someone. Which, even though Other M was released years later, is a direct tie to that(And one that was intentional, I believe =P). Which is very cool, and ties the story together further, even though I know that it was more expanding on Fusion's story, than the other way around.

Can't wait to actually start to play this. =) Not gonna get the Best Ending for a long time(If ever), but I knew that going into this. Just beating the game would be a first for the Metroid Series.(Speaking of which, I still need to finish the original game. >>')

    Alternative Titles: Any Objections?

So. Let me explain where I've been the last few days: Playing Metroid Other M. And Metroid Prime. And Fusion. Probably will throw in the original for good measure soon. =P

This series is awesome, and by the time I'm done, I'll only be missing Prime: Hunters, and Super Metroid. I finished Other M 100%, though. =)

Other M stuff: Lemme first start by addressing the controversy. Here's the situation... Ridley's just been revived by the Galactic Federation, purely by accident. There's a traitor, and one of Samus' friends seemingly was trying to attack her. Ridley is alive. So, honestly, after staring down the person who... Killed Samus' parents, nearly killed her like 10 times, died about as many times, returned the same amount of times; and all this on top of her nearly dying and getting the Baby Metroid killed in the process... Is it really a surprise that she goes into shock? And to boot, she doesn't nearly lose the Power Suit simply because she loses it... She only starts to transform to normal form when she's nearly killed by being grabbed by Ridley. Which is kinda fitting, given that she transforms when she dies in like every game that's not named 'Prime'. And transforms back when she's shot like an hour or so later. So honestly, it's not that hard to believe that her reaction was, you know, normal human reactions. Especially since she pulled herself together after a certain ally got knocked off the arena.

The game itself was awesome, though. Kinda wish it was a little longer, though. Most of it was cutscenes. =P

Metroid Fusion: Playing this after playing through Other M all the way... It's awesome. Since Other M was the timeline insert, Fusion obviously has a similar feel to Other M, and that's very cool. Especially obvious with the Adam dialogues. Haven't beat it, though.

Metroid Prime: Only just gotten the Wave Beam, but... It's very interesting. I can see the whole Prime Hunters similarity, and I haven't even played Hunters. =P Can't wait to see how things advance in that.

    This is what I got:

Two CDs(Sugarland's Enjoy The Ride, and Jimmy Wayne's Do You Believe Me Now?. The latter came with two of his old songs, I guess redone, I think. All I know is I've heard them before, they're listed as bonus songs, and I think it just came out this fall...)
    Chocolate.
    Gift Card.
    Money(60 dollars isn't that bad =P)
... I'm pretty sure I got other things, can't reme- Oh, right, a bobblehead. =) Not that much, might get something tomorrow... Hopefully.*I'm hoping for Bleach: Dark Souls myself =P*

Alternative Titles: Wait Let Me Finish - Not The Full Version... Yet.

    -=Entry=-

So; yesterday, I finally gave in and tried Minecraft(Preemptive strike; I'm making a category now. =P)... Classic. My laptop can't run the full version according to the specs on the site; and I don't have a way of buying it just yet anyway. =P But, what little I got to play of Classic before the browser locked up on me was very fun. =) Managed to dig my way all the way to the ground, and after barely missing lava, deleted all that, and got back up, and began to make a case out of the green blocks. ... Granted, it then froze as I was trying to test the save/load things, but whatever. =P

    It is very fun, however; and I can definitely understand how it's got such a following. And this is with it on an old version, which in modern terms is effectively Creative Mode on Peaceful setting. =P Now that I'm on my desktop, though, I should try it again; it won't overload this time. ... Or, at least, if it does, then I have bigger problems. >>;
  11. Blessed Blade
Alternative Titles: I Have Now Upgrade! ... To the Demo!

    -=Entry=-

So, to continue on, I gave up on Classic for now. It'll become fully useless anyway, if I ever get the full version, after all.

However, that would leave me with nothing to play, you say? Not true! There is, in fact, now a demo that lasts for five days and nights!(However, sleeping automatically takes off up to ten minutes of play time, due to the way the counter works)

I have made made it to the time limit twice now, and in the last completion, I also made it to bedrock in my makeshift base, along with making a skylight. =) Speedrunning? Me? Naaaah, it can't be.

I ran into gold and Redstone on my way down, though, and I stupidly wasted all my iron on making a chestplate instead of a pick. ; I just made my base right in front of my spawn point, though; that way if I die like I did yesterday...(Note to self, and others: If you've dug down like 25 blocks, try not to jump right down into the mineshaft. You will die.) then you just respawn outside, and can just head back to get your stuff quickly. =)

That said, does anyone know how to use a ladder properly? So that I don't go soaring through the air while trying to go down a ladder to the depths of my mineshaft? =/

[NO NO NO NO Ah Dang It Why Did I Even Do That!?]

So; today's been interesting. Played a ton of Minecraft on my new world to test out some modifications, and got about 15 diamonds today alone(Everywhere I looked seemed to have them; and no, that wasn't part of the mods, that was genuine. =P). So, after doing that and therefore having 19 total, not dying at all in that world, and getting to about level 44-ish, in terms of EXP; I decided to lava mold myself a Nether Gate.

All went well; I entered, and immediately heard a ghast and built a base out of the Cobblestone I had brought for bridges. Went outside, tried and failed to play Dead Man's Bluff(Or whatever the name's called) with the ghast ala Zelda, repaired some of the damage to my platform, and eventually decided to enclose my portal. Ran outta cobblestone. Went back to my base in normal world. Grabbed more cobblestone. Ran back into my gate. Heard a ghast. Proceeded to run forward through the portal instead of backwards, running right off the platform into what apparently was lava, but seemed to be an actual platform to me. 0_o So, yeah, first death of the game gets credited to the ghast chasing me, with the assist going to my utter lack of direction. =P

So; I respawned, not realizing everything I had had at the time, but shrugging it off since I left the important stuff at home. =P Grabbed more cobble, and dodged the ghasts, as I promptly sealed THAT side off. Because that was just a stupid death. xD So, I then decide that I've already died once, and I might as well keep trying, so I go out into the open, and finally see the ghast that was shooting me(Or, rather, one of them). The problem is that I have to have my settings on tiny so to not crash the game, so I can barely see even the silhouette. So, I see it, track it, and realize how the reflection works. "ACHIEVEMENT GET!" That did the trick. =P

After that, I'm feeling even braver, so I go out to get what fell. I ignore the drop, since there was Netherrack, and it wasn't that far. I then proceed to make a bridge out there. So far so good, no ghast's tears, that sorta fun stuff. I explore a bit; but don't see any fortresses, unfortunately. So I gather some Soul Sand, and start to head back. Lo and behold, another ghast. Shooting at me. So, I decide to be tricky; I walk backwards. Bad move, there was fire. And I was starting to get hungry. And the fire was slowly killing me. Somehow I managed to eat and not die. =P So, I try to finish my bridge, since I had jumped when things shot at me earlier. =P

Needless to say, that was intriguing, as I was both reflecting the blasts I could get(Killed one of them during that stand, though two more replaced it. =P), and trying to both finish the bridge, and reinforce it with railings so it didn't blast me into lava. Everything surprisingly went well, made a platform at the bottom, and got a two brick high railing on either side of my three-wide bridge(Which turned it into one wide, but I didn't care, as that was the ORIGINAL size, as I was making my way over there. =P). Except, I ran outta cobble halfway through. That was not fun, but somehow I managed to dash(Not literally, of course, thankfully due in part to the third modification I was testing, the first two being Optifine and the Minimap) across to safety, without anything shooting at me. I even scaled the cliff, and got back through the portal, without anything attempting to kill me. I'm a little worried about that, I may wait before going back through next. =P

So, earlier in this, I mentioned about the items I lost? Yeah, I remembered my inventory(Or at least the majority of it) after.

1-3 Iron Picks(I forget how many)
    1-3 Iron Shovels(Same)
    Roughly 2 Iron Swords
    1 Bow
    50-something arrows
    Tons of torches
    Lots of sticks
Probably a full stack of coal(Not that that mattered, I had like 10 of those. =P)
7 buckets(6 full of milk and one of water)
Full set of Iron Armour, nearly broken

I think that's it, since I dashed off the platform before even TRYING to get Netherrack from destroyed things. xD Kinda painful, but I have like 4 full stacks of iron. =P

So yeah, that's the summary of my misadventure in the Nether. =P I don't like the layout of it for me. ._.; Too much stuff to kill me. xD I'm just glad I didn't anger any Pigmen, unlike on one multiplayer server I was on a couple months back. =P

    [And That Is The Question]

So; yet another Minecraft entry. I blame playing it so much thanks to the stuff I've been testing(Especially Optifine).

So, today, I decided that after failing so badly in the Nether(See: last entry), and successfully figuring out the lava to obsidian trick last night, I would take a little break from mining, and go establish a new base. I had found a spot in a plains biome that was on a mountain almost right next to a natural quarry, so I went to go explore and then settle there. As I was exploring, to make sure there were no other plains biomes, however, I noticed a cave.

I went to explore said cave, but I epically failed; it turns out there were three Endermen. I angered once by accident, which proceeded to try and kill me, but I whacked it away, and it growled, but vanished. I was rather confused, but shrugged it off. I'll admit, though, it gave me a start, as I was not expecting Endermen, especially so many. >_>

Kept going, but all I found of interest was a few beaches and a connection to the ocean. Headed back, and reached the spot as it was turning night. That was fun, since I built the overground house in the middle of the night. =P I found out that my stack of 64 Cobble was not enough, however, by far. Repelled some skeletons and zombies who tried to eat my face, and managed to get up the outer wall, part of layer two, and the door(And frame).

I waited until it was day again, and went to explore a little more. A creeper blew up in my face in a ravine-like cave, as I tried to collect stuff from downed zombies, especially when a skeleton ambushed me. =P However, I survived it, oddly enough.(I really need to change to Hard from Normal... I'll do that next log-in.) Continued on, though I noticed an Enderman was there, but then was not. No complaints there, after the earlier incident. =P Managed to have another creeper blow up, though no clue where that came from. 0_o

After I collected more cobble, I went to continue my house. Found out that I epically failed at making symmetrical stuff. Redo number one. I took time to make a dirt staircase down the cliff, of course. =P Got more stone and dirt from a nearby cliff, and then went back to redoing the symmetry; and of course it was night again. Completed it, after redoing a whole wall(Since it needed to be out more). Nothing seemed to happen, though I got to layer 4, and decided I wanted a second floor to the house.

To judge the distance, I tried to start my mineshaft temporarily. Only one problem; I misjudged the dimensions of the house, since I wasn't really counting out a pattern. I had a 6x6 interior(Though it's shaped like a circle, so there is two more blocks on each side, more or less, of space). I needed a 7x7 space, for optimal centering. Redid one wall(Redo two), looked, realized the back was wrong too, shook my head, and started to redo that. As I was working on it, however, a Creeper decided he wanted to say hello. =P Managed to not do much at all, except make it harder for future Creepers to follow his lead. =P So yeah, that's redo number three at that point, and I finished it without any further dramatic pauses. Except for running out of cobble, but it was still day at that point. =P

Finished up the walls, made a temporary dirt ceiling, and tried to tunnel down to see if there was any coal; but ended up breaking into a cavern instead, which is honestly a bad sign for so early on. My other mineshaft in my normal base is riddled with caverns, which is one reason I have so little cobble. =/(Of course, that'll be nowhere near a problem once I get that quarry going)

However, it was getting dark and I had no glass, so I headed back to the main base to drop stuff off, get other things, and try to find glass. Spoiler, I had no glass. >_> So, that's where I ended for the night; I'll get sand tomorrow, and then finish up at least the second floor of my new base. =P

Say; do you guys want blog entries about my daily/nightly Minecraft adventures to be an ongoing thing? Or should it just be every once in a while when I get bored? Leave a comment about that, if you wish to. If so, I'll try and think up a witty title for the next entry, and then start numbering it. =P If I wasn't getting attached to this world, I'd make a dedicated world just for the blog entry series. =P
  14. Blessed Blade
    [i Hate Redstone]

So; today was rather boring. Only played for an hour, so I didn't have time for that much. Let's start off with what I did have time for.

I grabbed some planks from the wood I had gotten two days ago, and promptly grabbed some cobble, and headed back out to my new base, stopping only at the witchless hut I found to put a sign there, taunting the witch that vanished. =P Once I got to my base, however, I promptly cleared a little more of the cliff, and headed down, placing a grave randomly in the middle, since I have no clue where Slimey actually died. =P(I got a screenshot, Biobeast, in case you doubt that I stopped to do that. I'll upload it tomorrow. =P) Next, I tried to begin furthering the expansion of my new base, but happened to discover that I still had no glass(Only remembering what my plans were about now. =P), so I headed back to base, since I forgot to bring food too.

Once back, however, I got a thought into my head, based on different things I had been looking at prior to starting Minecraft tonight. "Hey, why don't I set those iron doors of mine to both open when only one of my pressure plates are active, instead of opening only the corresponding door? It'd certainly make things easier!" So, I grab my masses of redstone, and head out, digging a small cavern under my doorway, right to the second set of pressure plates.

Only problem? I overestimated my knowledge of redstone. This was about 11:40-ish when I started. I placed it how I thought it should work; went to test the doors, same as normal. Tried a redstone torch; that just made the door stay open all the time. Looked up on the wiki, went back and tried increasingly complex things, since that seemed to help all the people who made super complex designs; didn't work. I even tried to expand the outside of the building to hide the inevitable mess of redstone, but even the ideas I was thinking of didn't work.

Long story short, I wasted about 40 minutes trying and filing to get my redstone pressure plates to work. I have a feeling it's because there's a block's difference between it, or because of how my walls are set up; but I'm not entirely certain how to fix that. =/ Basically, right now I have a crater that looks like a Creeper made it outside, but other than that, it's like a normal double door doorway, but the pressure plates just won't open both doors at the same time. =/

    (I Love Redstone)

First things first, thanks to Biobeast for the quick Redstone tutorial for those pressure plates; it really helped. =D

Now then... Following up from last night(Since I went on earlier than 10 PM today. ), I continued to deal with my redstone problem. Thanks to Biobeast's comment in the last entry, I knew kinda what I was in for. However, I hadn't made redstone repeaters before, so I had to go and quickly look that up. =P Once that problem was solved, I got to setting up my redstone doors; I expanded the cavern-like area I created last night, and refined it slightly. I had to redo where I got into it eventually, but, I also managed to get the pressure plates on the same level as the door. =D

First off, I started with the redstone torches, placing them as Biobeast had explained, one set on top(Which go first, which is important), and the second set on the bottom. Then I dug a 2x2 hole one block down, and put the first set of repeaters down, and redstone wire connected on the other side. That's when things got tricky, since I was down a ways. I refined the process after a bit, but pretty much what I did was to run the redstone around a split, up a ledge, back to the middle, and then up another ledge to where the pressure plates would be. It honestly took longer than I thought it would to pull that off, of course. =P But it worked, even though I messed up and went and broke one of my stone pressure plates with my fist. >_>

I repeated the process on the other side, only barely not breaking into my staircase in the process.(One more block over, and I would have. =P) After that, the doors both magically opened, even when you only stood on one pressure plate! =D Once I finished that, however, I decided to take a little break from redstone, and I went to do other things. I made an enclosure for my redstone cave, and in the process befriended another slime! That was short-lived, however, as I went into my nearby huge cave to get more stone, and the slime followed me the short way, falling to it's own doom. I initially made a grave for it too, but the sign glitched and showed nothing on it, so I reclaimed the sign, and left it unmarked. =(

Once I finished with that, I decided to go and try to FINALLY mark off some of those silly achievements that related to farming. Completed the first two, but then I got to the cake one, and had to go find a cow, since there were seemingly none around me. After traveling around a lot, lighting up even more area with torches, having a horde of Creepers try to blow me up, taking an arrow to the knee, finding unlit caverns, running across my new house, and deciding not to look in the quarry due to another creeper wandering around, I went back home, and found a cow further to the south(I think?), just standing where I used to have some sugarcane. xD I got the milk, tried the recipe, failed badly, and had to resort to looking it up. I'm actually glad it wasn't so far away, though, because I only grabbed one bucket, and needed three.(And wheat instead of bread. >>')

So, after all that, I finally got the cake, which apparently is not a lie. I expanded my sugarcane farm a little again, and harvested a ton of potatoes(BAKED POTATOES FOR EVERYONE!), and decided to take a break.

However, whenever I go on next, I will be making another trip back to the nether. You know, because I didn't learn the first time. =P

/EDIT: Gah, the tags and everything are all messed up for this entry. >_> Had to use parenthesis tags instead of brackets.

    [i'm Going To The Neeeeeeetheeeeeeeer]

So, following up from the last Minecraft Misadventures, I decided to head to the Nether after a little bit of not being sure what to do and making sure everything worked with the 1.4.6 update. This being the first time I went to my portal since I temporarily disabled the Nether Portal texture, I was amused to find the portal was all blue. =P Nonetheless, I went through once more, my view now on Short, so I could see the actual Ghasts, when they appeared. =P

First thing I did, was explore up the mountain I kept ignoring last time. Nothing, though I saw a mysterious place across a chasm of lava, so I made a bridge across. Ran outta cobble, but I luckily had dirt, and thought 'eh, I'll just use dirt for the last three blocks', estimating it. It literally used three blocks, which I never pull off. =P I explored around, but there wasn't really anything of interest, except for glowstone I couldn't reach without it falling in lava, which was unfortunate. =/

I continued looking around that spot, however; but as I was making a tunnel, my pick broke, so I had to head back. When I returned, however, I went around another way, headed more to southeast or so. After I spotted the first ghast of the session, I tried to kill it, but it was having more luck, managing to set the spot where I was standing on fire. I wasn't exactly pleased, but I survived that. =P I turn around, and find that another Ghast had crept up behind me, and was trying to kill me as well; however, I dodged a couple blasts, and then killed it with my first reflected shot, also gaining two gunpowder and a Ghast's Tear in the process, which I was pleased about.

I continued to make my way around the Nether, but nothing TOO exciting happened. I ran across a few more Ghasts which tried to kill me, but neither I nor the Ghasts had too much luck. I also did not find a single Nether Fortress; I think I had horrible luck in dimension generation there. =P On my way back, however, another Ghast tried to ambush me, however, I managed to somehow predict where it'd be correctly, while it was off screen, and killed it without even seeing it. Pure luck there. xD Unfortunately, it was over lava(Obviously, I can't have good luck, can I?), so I didn't get a single thing out of that, but still. That was awesome. xD Did I mention that I'm now playing on Hard now, since I never turned it off from when I was playing on NightCraft's world? Yeah. =P And I got back without any incident either.

What bugs me, however, is my death the last time. I found a portion of land around where my portal is, and it looks as if I was just barely missing the ground.(Not that it really would've helped, due to fall damage, but still) If I had've held forward, I probably would have avoided falling into the lava. I suspect a Ghast is to blame for that hole, since a ton of them were shooting me then, so there's no guarantee what they shot up. =P

Anyway, I get back, and wander around a little. I fixed up one of the many cave tunnels in my base, sealing it off so I can dig the gravel away and see if there's anything good around there later. I also got more potatoes. I have an entire stack of baked potatoes now, and a second stack coming soon. xD I then recalled my glass issue, and went to go get that, raiding a nearby beach. I also traveled around the nearby segment of land, looking for a good spot to make a train station, but couldn't find one yet. I also found a medium slime, but it was trapped in water, so I euthanized it. But I'm still alive!

I think that's about it. It was a rather boring session, since I wasn't entirely certain what to do, aside from the Nether run. ^^' I really expected to find a Nether Fortress, too... =/

[Thank You BZP, You Can Now Embark On A New Quest]

So; I've decided, with the very nice help of the crickets who kindly chirped in my last entry, to indeed start up a nightly series of Minecraft entries based on my misadventures in Minecraft land. I'm still not sure whether I should start a new world for the actual entries or just stick to my current world, which I would still play whenever I could. =P

So, I need your help, whatever viewers I have, in two ways:
First off, I need a title for this series, which is effectively a Let's Play. I was thinking about having a title that reflected what would HOPEFULLY be a nightly series. But Minecraft Nightly seems rather boring. =/(Though, just thinking about it, Nightcraft sounds kinda cool... Kinda cheesy, but when have I let that stop me? =P)

Secondly, I need to know if starting over(With a completely random seed maybe?) is an idea I should do, because I really like the world I have now. xD(Thinking now, if I do that, I could do a second series, which I'll name for the entries I'm doing now, Minecraft Misadventures. I'll retrofit the last entry with that title once this is done)

So, yeah... I need some input on this. If you guys have ideas on other things to write entries on, I'm all ears still, of course. xD

Alternative Titles: And There Goes Any Productivity On My Laptop.

    -=Entry=-

I have Minecraft now!! =D Gonna need to use my laptop for playing it at all, but this should be awesome. =D I'll need to grab some stuff, like Optifine, so that my laptop doesn't blow itself up trying to do stuff like multiplayer, but now I actually have Minecraft!

Also, to mention about my Pokemon Nuzlocke playthrough... Yeah, I failed in Mistralton. =P Got into a triple battle I wasn't expecting, and had my three top Pokemon swept. =P I won it, and lasted a good while after(Which surprised me), but I just had them all faint, and had it be considered a fail, so I could just continue through, and beat the game to get some other stuff. Like Thundrus. =P
  19. Blessed Blade
    Other Titles: Fusion... Ha!

I'm honestly surprised at it's length, now that I'm playing it again. xD

Most of this is all because of the Kinstone Fusions, of course. =P ... And that Cucco catching minigame that could stay as far away from this game as possible.

But really, I've just finished the fourth dungeon, and given how much is left after this, I'm both impressed by the length, and saddened that my first file on the ambassador game is nearly done. xD ... Though, that's only one file on one game. I still have the rest to complete. ._.'

The side-stuff in this is really hard to keep track of, however, especially when you have like 140+ things to find in total, between the Heart Pieces and Kinstone fusions, and the upgrades, and everything. xD
  20. Blessed Blade
So; I just got Tri, again. Have I ever mentioned it's awesome?

    Here are my stats:

    HR 34(High Rank)

    Equipment: Lagi Set(Complete)
    Fire Res+9 Talisman
    Thunderclap Longsword

    Awards: Chief's Garb(Complete 1-3* quests)
    Tidal Necklace(Defeat Lagiacrus)
    Gem of the Depths(Defeat Ceadeus)
Scroll of the Sage(Complete over 10(?) pages of combination list)
    Farm Certificate(Max out Farm)

    Copper Medal(Complete 1-3* online quests)
    Jhen Crystal(Defeat Jhen Mohran)
  21. Blessed Blade
... Dangit, now I'll need to get a new category for this. >_>

So, anyway. I'm really liking that new Jho Capture mission. Why? Because I've already captured him approximately five times. Got the first form of his Longsword, which is awesome, even if it needs Awakening to actually get it's Dragon Element.

The next thing, is that I just got to HR 40 last night. I've been authorized to embark on 5* Missions!

That means that all I have to do is get to HR 45 or 46 in the next little while, and I'll be able to get every single High Rank item in one way or another; barring those stupid Conqueror's Seals. >_> I do need to own HR Lagi a few times though; getting either Lagi + Armour, or just plain upgrading my Lagi armour is a very good idea to do... And it means I get a head start on upgrading my Helios Armour once I start getting those Seals.

Also; I'm not good at all against Diablos +. Found that out last night. =P

    Updated Stats:

    HR 40(High Rank)
    Equipment: (Armour)Rathian Helm(Upgraded)
    Rathian Mail(Upgraded)
    Rathian+ Gauntlet(I don't remember the exact name)
    Helios Coil(Ceadeus item, not upgraded)
    Rathian Greaves(Upgraded)
    (Charm)Perception+8, Pellet S -10 Talisman(For Cap Guru)
(Weapon)Reaver "Cruelty" Longsword, Thunderclap+ Longsword, or Wyvern Blade "Fire" Longsword

    Awards: Chief's Garb(Complete 1-3* quests)
    Tidal Necklace(Defeat Lagiacrus)
    Gem of the Depths(Defeat Ceadeus)
Scroll of the Sage(Complete over 10(?) pages of combination list)
    Farm Certificate(Max out Farm)

    Copper Medal(Complete 1-3* online quests)
    Jhen Crystal(Defeat Jhen Mohran)
  22. Blessed Blade
Two entries in a day? *Gasp*

Alright. So. First of all, next entry, whenever I make that, I'll list the different types of monsters I've slayed, how many, and the sizes of each.

So, first things first. Why, do people on recruiting servers, sometimes join up to do quests other than what's listed? Like, the city's a Lagi city, but people want to do Rathalos. It doesn't make much sense. Or; even better; the person joins the Lagi city, and they're only HR 32 or something. High Rank Lagiacrus is 40+. Sure, you help the person, but it take away from Lagi fighting. =/

Second, more a note, and something I noticed about myself. I had horrible trouble with LR and Offline Barioth. Yet, I get on the first HR Barioth quest I find; and win easily. And then proceed to do it again one or two more times. It makes no sense. 0_o Yet I can't destroy a Diablos.

Third, something that's just... weird. An observant eye will note that the Ala longsword has inherent Dragon properties; right? Well the Ala armour set has... Awakening. Yet Awakening's useless on the longsword, since it already has an element. 0_o But what's even weirder; is the Jho Longsword needs Awakening for it's Dragon Element. What did Capcom do; accidentally switch Jho and Ala's armour set properties? 0_o It would make more sense to have Awakening on the Jho set, since it can be used without mixing weapons, though everyone does that anyway.

    Status Update:

    HR 42(High Rank)

    Equipment and Awards unchanged.

    (G) = Gold Crown
    (S) = Silver Crown

Also; there won't be any status updates this entry, I don't want to overload the entry. =P

    Yes; Alatreon. So; I fight him just now; with a party of four. Not even two minutes in; it's down to just me, against the huge dragon. My reaction: ._.;

The thing is; it all happened because one person died early on; and it wasn't even me! I forgot Cool Drinks, however, as I didn't know the battle was fought in a volcano. So this person dies, everyone's going 'uh-oh'; and as I finally get my bearings, everyone abandons the quest in like two seconds. Now, like any self respecting Hunter, I continued on. =P ... But I finally got owned by the wyvern approximately two minutes later. Twice. >_>; But hey; I never really expected to win, by myself at least. But still; these people were like HR 90 or so; and they just abandoned. Whereas I never even got killed until they abandoned. Funny, that. =P

/addendum: Second group was better. We simply got owned without abandons. =P

    Now then, Status update.

    HR 47(High Rank)
Equipment: (Armour, Charm) Same as earlier.
(Weapon) Reaver "Cruelty" Longsword, Thunderclap+ Longsword, Wyvern Blade "Flare" Longsword.

Ballom can probably guess what this is about. =P

Sooo... I'm in the middle of fighting Alatreon. And winning(Well; two deaths down, but that's not too big a deal). Then, one of our gunners gets DCed. I don't think anything of it; we've still got three people including me. I run after Ala, going for the tail, since it wasn't cut yet. Ala stops for a moment, and I take the opportunity to slice at it.

... Then I get the notice:

    "A communication error has occurred."

... AAAAAAAAAAARGH!! >_< >=O and the like. I was none too impressed at that. However; thinking back, I should've seen the first warning sign: Ala stopped. xD Ala never stops. When monsters suddenly stop for no reason, it tends to be a sign of communication lag or errors. I was hoping it was lag. =P

No status update yet. Haven't got much to report. =P
