  1. If you are talking about a noble Mahiki then no. That should be from the 2001 Mask pack as the noble masks were printed in the Turaga colors (Orange being Vakama's) and the great masks being in the Toa colors. I'm under the impression the orange Mahiki is rather common as Legoland California gave away a bunch with purchases in the gift stores in February of '03 (or was it '04?). I also got a few trans-green Mirus that way as well :D

Here is a link to bricklink if you wanna see the price guide for an orange noble mahiki http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=32575&colorID=4

  2. Thanks for the links tourmalinex, I went ahead and ordered that Bionicle #1! :happydance:

I already saw and messaged the guy with the Axalara T9 yesterday. Wanted to make sure it was complete without any cracked joints on Lewa, plus he lives in my local area so I could potentially pick it up. Waiting for a reply on that still.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and order those Phantoka/Mistika from you caszutphen and hold off on the masks for now. Don't need to spend all my money right now between here and eBay.

Also I'm pretty happy that I won this the other day with no other bidders :D http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Bionicle-Set-8567-8568-8570-8571-/252099113149?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=91XH2w%252F9wsU4HXGGJNrMwA6fNU4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

  3. @tourmalinex are you offering a Kraahkan? If so I think 20-30USD is fair. Also I'm aware the comics are expensive but I wasn't aware Ignition #3 was going for that much as I haven't seen one for sale.

@caszutphen I messaged you earlier on bricklink this week! I still have you in mind for the Phantoka/Mistika sets, I'm just seeing what else is going around that is potentially closer to me. I've ordered from Europe a lot but mostly loose pieces like kanohi masks or bulk parts so shipping was cheaper. I think I may grab the Phantoka/Mistika as well as the copper komau from you. I'm really just needing that orange karda nui piece for the outside of pohatu phantoka's canister, not the whole thing. Do you know if you have just that in stock? I could buy the whole canister as well, I just don't need pohatu himself.

I may have some more Lego Star Wars sets and Hero Factory to add to my selling/trading list. I wish I had more Bionicle up for trade but I don't have any duplicates laying around and I plan on keeping most of my collection at this point.

  4. Hello all!

Now that I'm an adult with a job I can purchase (and sell) toys from my childhood that I wasn't able to get the first time around! I've been trying to complete some sections of my collection as well as "re-complete" other sections (I say re-complete because I disassembled many sets a few years ago to make space and many pieces are now a part of MOCs). Currently my funds are limited as I am paying for college, gas, food, and other living expenses as well so bear with me. I'm mostly looking to pay with cash9through paypal) as I've not a lot to trade at the moment. If I ship something to you, you pay shipping and vice-versa (unless we agree on something else). For now, I only ship to North America as I'm not experienced with shipping yet.

    Looking For:

High Priority (things I am actively searching for and will get serious about):
All 6 Toa Mata canisters with their sliding plastic sleeves intact. I already have them all but they are missing their plastic sleeves (I was a destructive child).

Medium priority (things that tickle my interest but I'm not too serious about because of pricing or availability):
Toa Mata Nui with instructions (Titan version #8998)
    Copper Komau
    European misprint masks
    Movie Edition Kraahkan
    Comic-Con Bionicle Ignition #3 variant
    Poisoned Hau Nuvas (any/all variants)
    Various Kanohi Nuva
    Protodermic Nuva

Low Priority (things that I'll get to once some other things are completed first but will consider given a good price):
    Irnakk
    Nui-Rama, Tarakava, Nui-Jaga, Muaka & Kane-Ra
    Boxor
    Rahi Master Builder Set
Canisters for: Tahnok, Pahrak, Nuhvok; Zadakh, Nuurakh, Vorzakh

    Up for sale/trade:
I have some sets up mostly for trade. I am willing to sell them as well for a decent price (make an offer).
Unless otherwise stated, all sets listed come complete with all parts and minifigures (spare parts not included). Instructions are included unless otherwise stated. Boxes/Canisters are NOT included unless otherwise stated. Parts may be dusty if they were noted as being on display as they were bagged up and stored away last year. I can clean them if you request. All parts should be expected to not contain any serious marks or dents as they were mostly on display or at worst "lightly" played with. I didn't go throwing around or abusing my sets but some parts may show some wear. Unless otherwise stated, all stickers were applied upon initial construction. I can remove them at request but I have no replacement stickers. Photos can be taken by request. All my stuff comes from a clean, smoke-free, home.

    Bionicle

    • '02 Pohatu Nuva (with canister, no instructions)
    • Bionicle Quest for the Masks cards. I have quite a few spares I'll be willing to trade/sell. Cards in Mint or Near Mint condition and have only been opened and put in storage. Contact me for an inventory of what I have available.

    Star Wars

    • Lego Star Wars Droid carrier #7929 - Put on display and then disassembled last summer. May contain dust.
    • Lego Star Wars Rogue Shadows #7672 - Lightly played with and then put on display. Disassembled and bagged last summer. Probably contains significant dust.
    • Lego Star Wars Battle for Geonosis #7869 - Put on display then disassembled last summer. May contain dust.
    • Lego Star Wars Sith Fury Class Interceptor #9500 - Put on display then disassembled last summer. May contain dust.
    • Lego Star Wars Republic Striker-class Figher #9497 - Put on display then disassembled last summer. May contain dust.

    Miscellaneous

    • Unopened #3929 Biff Starling Astrobot Minifig (plastic on outside has a small puncture/rip)
    • Series 3 Collectible Minifigs (loose with stand) - Elf, Native American, Fisherman
    • Series 5 Collectible Minifigs (loose with stand) - Boxor, Gladiator

More to possibly be added later.
If you have any questions regarding what I have for trade and sell go ahead and message me or comment below. I get email notifications so I should be able to reply within a day.

  5. Was gonna post earlier but didn't want any competition in the bidding ;) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Bionicle-Set-8567-8568-8570-8571-/252099113149?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=91XH2w%252F9wsU4HXGGJNrMwA6fNU4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Kopaka, Lewa, Gali, and Pohatu Nuva sets from '03. Bidding started at $9.99 with $6.00 shipping. Included all canisters and all instructions save for pohatu.

I was the first and only bidder so I'm pretty happy I got all four for 16 bucks essentially. Now I have all six '03 nuva with a spare pohatu to boot hehehe

  6. Set-wise, my favorites are probably the Toa Mata or the Mahri. The Toa Mata were simple yet all unique sets as far as builds went and they all felt to have a bit of character added to them with their masks. The Toa Mahri were really colorful and creative sets (matter of fact, that whole year was) and feature some of my favorite Toa designs. My least favorite as far as sets go would be the Metru and Hordika. Both were cookie cutter sets with different colors and tools/masks and the Metru looked weak-sauce compared to the Mata/Nuva.

Story-Wise, I enjoyed pretty much all the teams. The Mata/Nuva had many different adventures, the Metru/Hordika had a long continuous story encompassing pretty much all their time as Toa, and the Inika/Mahri had a great story as well.

  7. At one point all my sets were still together but I had to downsize the amount of space they took... Basically they used to sit on a table in the downstairs area of my home but when I finally got my own room (or more like my brother moved into a different room) I decided to move them all into my upstairs room with now one person and all their belongings absent. The sets I wasn't too fond/crazy about were dismantled (pretty much canister sets and small boxed sets from 2004 onward). I kept at least two from each line together but all the canisters from dismantled sets were recycled... so now I have quite a few canister sets dismantled and without their canisters. I don't think they will ever be built again. Anyways, lemme go ahead and list everything I have (boxed sets can be assumed to be box-less unless noted otherwise):

    Random stuff I also have:

All the printed comics from the lego magazines (albeit the earlier ones aren't in the best shape), the brickmaster variants, all nine Papercutz graphic novels, and all the mini promo comics (McDonalds/canister inserts/Lunchables). Basically I am missing the two comic-com variant comics.

All the books, both novels and supplemental/information driven ones (and the sticker book).

A three virtues hat somewhere from Brickmaster magazine.

First movie on VHS and the last three on DVD.

2001 Kanohi mask holder from Toys R Us (Currnetly has all 73 OG masks in it). I received this for free back in 05 from a TRU promotion with the Ultimate Creature Accessorry bin (my brother got the same deal as well).

Two sealed QFTM Rahi Challenge Bosster Boxes (in shrink wrap!).

All three Quest For The Masks CCG decks (opened), 139/180 Quest for the Masks booster cards (with tons of duplicates), 90/90 Rahi Challenge booster cards, 4/6 Limited Edition pack Toa cards

5 different pens (one being an Onua "National Design Corp" pen, one being a Nuhvok mix n match pen)

A 2005 Stationary Set with tin (that was heavily used back then)

A Tahu Mata freezer gel mug (that disappeared somewhere into the garage many years ago)

That should encompass all the significant stuff. As you can see, between my brother and I we got most of the sets albeit most are in pieces/MOCed now. I'm currently working on reassembling/gathering the 2001 sets and collectibles and am just needing some Mata canisters, a copper komau, and some rahi (excluding misprint and prototype kanohi).

  8. My wallet is saying no but I'd probably grab a few mask packs if they were to come out (or randomized matoran seem pretty cool as well). I've bought/received Bionicles since they came out in the summer of '01 so I have gotten a few packs of all the collectibles. I only got one, maybe two, of the OG Kaonhi pack as well as two or three of the Krana and one or two of the Krana-Kal/Kanohi Nuva. I do remember seeing punched open boxes at my local Toys R Us and Target stores at the time which was always annoying since the packs were fairly popular to the point where they could be hard to find at the time (I once in awhile would find the boxes still had a mask or head/eye-piece in it which I would pocket).

Interestingly, I've basically assembled a complete '01 Kanohi collection to fill the Toys R Us mask holder I've had for years now (thank you based bricklink) with most of the masks on their way in the mail as of this posting. I already have all of the random original colors from sets like the rahi, matoran/tohunga, and boxed sets as well as the copper Huna, trans-lime Miru, orange Vahi (and gold), and a chrome Hau (as well as the complete Power Pack with box). All that is left really are the European misprints and the Copper Komau but those are lower priority due to their price and the fact the holder only fits the 73 masks from the pack (36 great, 36 noble, and 1 infected hau) but they will probably make their way to me over time...

Again, I'd probably buy a few of the new collectibles if they do happen but probably not try to complete a collection... unless we get re-releases of the original kanohi molds and colors but that is not gonna happen for obvious reasons...
