    Good Lazy Day

    So today was a nice, lazy day. I woke up, and made breakfast with my mom (hurray they had no work today!) and ate it. Yummy.

    After I packed my backpack (which has Train Heartnet on it ^^) with the stuff I would need for Wednesday when school starts. I'm going to be an art high school freshman. I also almost lost my empty sketchbook I bought for school, but then my mom dug it up from somewhere. My parents were almost to the point that they thought I never bought it. >__>

    Then after that I got onii-chan to get up and started playing Warlords Battlecry III. I did a skirmish against weak people with a new hero I made to regain my skills. Then I played another skirmish with stronger AI with same hero and leveled up a bit (up to 5, I think?). Then I played with my other hero, and leveled him up too (although he was already level 22 or so). I didn't play wit my original hero (level 38), but I have plans to make her stronger in battle. I apparently hadn't played the game since January of 2008. o___O

    After that I took a short rest and then exercised a bit (push-ups, sit-ups, and stretches). Then I sat down on this computer and checked stuff and started writing this entry.

    What a good Labour Day.

    First I am disappointed that no one got the reference in the previous entry. You all need to go and read Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

    Aaaaanyways

    I think I did well on most of my midterms. In gym, we didn't do anything for half the time (woo relaxing) and for the other half we played a soccer game. He said we deserved to relax, with all the tests pressuring us.

    My English teacher graded our midterm right away because it was so short - I got a 99.


    And for all you Brickfair people - my dad finally signed me up to it, and the check was sent today. So I'm officially going. ^^

    Country House Next Week!

    So my friend invited me up to her country house in Massachusetts for the whole of next weekend, leaving either Thursday or Friday, and return Sunday (if it works out). And I'm pretty excited for it.

    Except she said that she's going to teach me how to swim no matter what while we're there. Because I don't know how to swim.
    And I hope she doesn't want me to bike while there too, because I never learned how to ride one.
    Yes my childhood was terrible in that sense D:

    Also she's going to rent out something for us to watch there. So far, I've talked to her about Darker Than Black, Sword of the Stranger, and Paprika. She also wants me to watch The Princess Bride. But nothing is final yet~


    Random art update: Drawing a picture of Silver from the HG/SS, and it may include the Totodile. The current WIP is going really slow for one reason: half of the paper is going to be filled with only Pokeballs. Different varieties, yes, but all Pokeballs nonetheless. It's hard to stick to drawing them for a long time. xP

    Pokemon White

    I obtained it today, at a pre-release event. It is beautiful. And waiting for hours with my good friends was so worth it.

    Other goodies: An Oshawott/Mijumaru plushie and a [free] t-shirt.

    Sadly, I can't recall it. >< I had it a few days ago when I wasn't at the comp (like, on the train maybe?), and when I got home I just completely forgot about it. And now I remember I even had an idea.

    Thornax Comparison

    First, thank you Black Six for giving away prototypes at Brickfair. I got a half-transparent Hau Nuva, and a prototype Thornax.
    To add to that, I also got a Skopio set at Running of the Bulls (30 bucks baby), which means I finally own a set Thornax.

    So, I put them side-by-side for comparison. What do you think?

    But in actual good news, my friend lent me her PSP for the break so that I could play Persona 3 Portable. I'll be all over the place during this break but hopefully I can play a good chunk of the game, at least. *v*

    Styrofoam

    I suddenly remembered today about my experience with Styrofoam in elementary and middle school. At lunch, the school always used these cheap Styrofoam trays for school lunch (which sucked). And everyone around me, after they finished eating or if they were bored, would mess with the trays - puncturing holes into it with their spork, ripping the edges, and, on occasion, completely tearing it up.

    Problem is, the Styrofoam made this extremely annoying noise when people did that, and I would cringe and/or shiver whenever I heard it. Seeing and hearing it was even worse.

    I dunno how I react to it now cuz in high school it's either they use some new kind of tray on certain days, or the kids at my table don't care about torturing the trays.

    Friday Well Spent

    Today was pretty awesome. School was half-day, and everyone was in costume. As an update to how my costume came out, the hair was insanely random and failed to properly spike. But it was still nice. :3 My friend also lent me her faaaaat Pikachu to use and "capture" with my Eevee.

    A highlight of the day in school was a peer from middle school, from the drama department, dressing as my History teacher. He taught the class for the day, and my teacher was in such conflict while watching himself being accurately depicted and seeing his flaws and quirks. xD

    My friend from Texas visited and dressed as the 4th Doctor. She knitted the scarf herself (she's making me one too), and she knitted the sweater herself, and she sewed the coat herself. She is amazing.

    Another one of my friends dressed as a Rubik's Cube that you could actually spin, but only the top two parts.

    After school, we went to Build-A-Bear (my first time going), and it was really fun. They had dinosaurs to dress up! I also took a little soft heart from there that will give to someone who is amazing.

    Later, there was just myself and the Texan friend and her dad, and we went to art museum and freaked people out while looking at art. One bust in the Greek and Roman art section looked like Voldemort. No lie. It really really creeped me out. The description for it was simply "bust of a man" or something like that, but that's not the truth.

    Friend and I cried when we had to part ways though.

    Overall, I am satisfied and extremely tired. I will edit this post with some pictures later tonight or tomorrow afternoon (wow, I actually took some!), especially of Voldemort.

    EDIT: Added two pictures. I would add more, but I have to see if other friends have better images than I do. Especially of the Fourth Doctor outfit.

    So my mom dragged me to Old Navy to buy some clothes for school (which starts Wednesday). While in Old Navy, the amazing song Safety Dance started playing in the store. And I was dancing to it. 8D

    However, no one else was dancing.

    Limp Limp Limp

    On Tuesday in PE I ended up pulling a muscle on my right leg's calf while exercising, and ever since then I've had to limp everywhere. Stairs are a particularly powerful foe. Yet strangely, if I run, it doesn't hurt that much as walking normally does.

    However, tomorrow is Friday, and then Midwinter break sets in. I should definitely recover by the end of the break.

    Yu Gi Oh

    I watched the so-dubbed Season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh this week, and I see a lot of connections between this show (the original, based off the first few manga) and the show we've all (well most of us) seen (along with the game). This shall be a very choppy entry on my thoughts, so bear with me. xP

    But to a overview of the show overall! At first, I found the voice actors completely different from the English show, so it took a while to get used to them. There was also an extra character in Yugi's group, Miho. In this show, she's apparently a ditz. Not bad of an addition.

    Now then! The majority of this show isn't even about Duel Monsters. Duel Monsters only occurs in maybe five episodes out of the total twenty-seven. Another popular game that lasted more than an episode is Capsule Monsters. But the entire show was all about games, and almost every other character loved games as much as Yugi did. Many of the other episodes were focused on other games, such as Digital Pets, Yo-yos, golf, and more. And most of the episodes focused on a villainous character (which changed almost every time), and trying to show them how their evil is bad through games.

    On that subject, Yugi has his Millennium Puzzle. But he doesn't figure out that he has another self, or why he gets memory lapses often, until later in the show. Our beloved pharaoh is always brought out by a threat to Yugi's friends or to Yugi himself, and is most often seen playing a Shadow Game with the villainous character of the episode to teach them a lesson.

    Of course, there are some exceptions to this. Kaiba makes several attempts to bring out the pharaoh and defeat him, but fails pretty much every time. He has this group of amazing game players, but Yugi beats them all.

    The show doesn't get a real plot until Kaiba [finally] kidnaps Yugi's grandpa. Then they go to Kaiba Land and go through some pretty crazy games and near-death situations (where Yugi and pals finally realize the pharaoh's existence).

    Mokubah as a character is totally different. He's dressed real fancy, with some velvet cape, and his personality is evil-ish until Yugi beats him at Capsule Monsters.

    After Yugi beats Mokubah, he and Kaiba play Duel Monsters and when Kaiba has his three Blue Eyes, Yugi gets Exodia and yahoo he wins. And he does Mind Crush! =D

    And in the aftermath, Bakura pops out, is taken over by his Millennium Ring, and then they play this RPG board game where Yugi and pals become the player pieces and pharaoh has to control them. Pluz there's Zorc!

    Now then, connections to the show we all love: Joey being all bully at the beginning with Yugi, Kaiba vs Yugi (and the gramps kidnapping), Duel Monsters (although the rules are all screwed up and often requires you know mythology or something o_O), Tea as a waitress, Bakura vs. Yugi (with something where Bakura messes with the group's souls), Capsule Monsters?, etc.

    So I guess I enjoyed watching this Season 0. I noticed a lot more things about what I watched in my childhood, and I also got a little memory boost for that.

    In other news...

    Today fore Italian our teacher was absent so the sub put a note on the door saying to go up to the library. After climbing up three floors we mingled in the halls cuz the sub didn't come, and then this teacher in a Senior enlgish class invited us in for a discussion.

    So mid-discussion, this awesome guy who just followed our Italian class cuz he had no 10th period but had something after school, his cell phone rang real quiet. Then, all you hear is "Hello? Helloo? Hellooo?" All he does is grab his backpak and run out the door of the room with the teacher watching. An explosion of laughter, and then we settled and he came back in later.
    And @Spink- it's the guy who I was talking about to you. =P

    So yeah fun day. =D

    I walk into a Pokemon Center while playing White today, and I want to heal my Pokemon. When I talk to the nurse, she exclaims, "Hey! Today's your birthday!" and then proceeds to advertise Pokemon Centers by saying I should continue visiting them for many years to come.

    What is a good name for an ancient Greek mortal woman?

    I need a name for a woman in my English assignment, which is to write my own myth. While I dunno if it'll help, the story is about the origins of wind.

    Bonus points if the name has a cool meaning.
