I got sick yesterday, starting off with a whole ton of sneezing, and then my nose got all bleh. Today I got occasional headaches throughout the school day, and my ears are all messed up. It's hard to yawn as well.

At least now I get to fuse different kinds of tea that I could use for my current state to create one great tea with an unidentifiable taste.

So remember that children's story writing contest I entered? In today's weekly student bulletin at school, there was a section that mentioned myself and another girl that got in. Everyone was like "yay" until we realized that my friend who illustrated my story and the partner of the girl I just mentioned were both not included in the bulletin. But my English teacher called the office, and hopefully they'll fix it in the online version. =D

My friend in science class also somehow obtained Russia's (Hetalia) character CD from Japan, and let me borrow it for the weekend, mostly for the instrumentals. It's pretty cool, and has inspired me to draw a bookmark. As if I don't have enough to draw already (thanks for the pressure, Blade =P).

And my dad is magical. He has this tape that is the same color as a normal, boring brown package. So since he has a package he needs to send, he found some random big box from a blender or something, and just wrapped it up in this tape. It looks just like a normal package, it's crazy.

Also guys why is four-chambered heart more advantageous than a three-chambered heart? Cuz I have no idea D:

    Tomorrow's Friday. >

So today was the Club Fair at school, and I signed up for several clubs. The Asian Student Association (you don't have to be Asian to join), Anime Club, Fencing Club, Printing and Crafts Club, and this club that works with a school in Brazil and some fund-raising program (name slips my mind at the moment).

Not necessarily gonna do all the clubs, just waiting for emails so I could see what days they are on.

Would've signed up for the Kendo and Martial Arts Club but waay too many people, and the majority are just people who like swords and fighting. =P

Have an Italian test tomorrow, but I feel I'll do good except the city terms and classroom expressions. I'll be studying in free period... cuz I'm lazy tonight.

I took my science test this morning, as stated in a previous entry... And it was hard! D: The only thing I know I did well on was the stuff on biology and genetics. <3 genetics

He's the one you call, Dr. Feelgood~

Tomorrow is going to be pretty awesome. It'll be a half-day due to afternoon parent-teacher conferences (which my parents never go to) so I'll get out at 11:30. But they did cut out a ton of periods from the middle of the day so I won't see several people. ):
But afterschool, I'm meeting with several friends, and the plan is: Pizza, Alice in Wonderland, and then art museum for an exhibit on Tim Burton. It's going to be fuuun~

also does anybody know what kind of vision problems someone would have if their cornea was damaged?

I also hope to pump up the art block with links to school artwork as well, so it'll be just a general art content block. I'll probably get to that during my spring break soon, or on some weekend.

Finals day one went very well. First I had a double period of art, which meant sitting three hours in art class. I got my final done early for that, and it's pretty too. It has an explosion in the background, so I get extra points (from you guys, at least).

Then I had lunch, which meant one and half hours in the cafeteria. I eat pretty fast, so for part of lunch I drew, and the other part I studied. Now, in terms of studying, a friend and I who had the same class, Global History, next period decided to study by rapping. I used our review sheet from class and asked her, "Yo, so tell me 'bout ____?!" and she would rap (horridly) a response. She got it right, but her wording was often strange and she threw in random things just for the sake of rhyme.
When I told my global teacher about how we studied, she just shook her head sadly. xP

Speaking of the history final, it was rather easy. We also had five documents, which we had to do three of them, but I did all five for extra points. I finished early, helped her sort stuff, and got out fifteen minutes early than I was supposed to. =D

...to get a small strand of hair out my cup of tea just now. I worked very, very hard, and I succeeded! My cup of tea was once again enjoyable. =D

New character fanart is up - this time it's America. And it's full color.

Speaking of Hetalia, I have the song Marukaite Chikyuu stuck in my head. It's kinda of annoying a song but it's still lovely.

To the new staffers: congratulations, and I hope you have a wonderful time doing your job. To the dudes (Kex and Makaru) who stepped down: sad to see you guys go from those positions, but I hope you do well in whatever you're up to now.

I watched the so-dubbed Season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh this week, and I see a lot of connections between this show (the original, based off the first few manga) and the show we've all (well most of us) seen (along with the game). This shall be a very choppy entry on my thoughts, so bear with me. xP

But to a overview of the show overall! At first, I found the voice actors completely different from the English show, so it took a while to get used to them. There was also an extra character in Yugi's group, Miho. In this show, she's apparently a ditz. Not bad of an addition.

Now then! The majority of this show isn't even about Duel Monsters. Duel Monsters only occurs in maybe five episodes out of the total twenty-seven. Another popular game that lasted more than an episode is Capsule Monsters. But the entire show was all about games, and almost every other character loved games as much as Yugi did. Many of the other episodes were focused on other games, such as Digital Pets, Yo-yos, golf, and more. And most of the episodes focused on a villainous character (which changed almost every time), and trying to show them how their evil is bad through games.

On that subject, Yugi has his Millennium Puzzle. But he doesn't figure out that he has another self, or why he gets memory lapses often, until later in the show. Our beloved pharaoh is always brought out by a threat to Yugi's friends or to Yugi himself, and is most often seen playing a Shadow Game with the villainous character of the episode to teach them a lesson.

Of course, there are some exceptions to this. Kaiba makes several attempts to bring out the pharaoh and defeat him, but fails pretty much every time. He has this group of amazing game players, but Yugi beats them all.

The show doesn't get a real plot until Kaiba [finally] kidnaps Yugi's grandpa. Then they go to Kaiba Land and go through some pretty crazy games and near-death situations (where Yugi and pals finally realize the pharaoh's existence).

Mokubah as a character is totally different. He's dressed real fancy, with some velvet cape, and his personality is evil-ish until Yugi beats him at Capsule Monsters.

After Yugi beats Mokubah, he and Kaiba play Duel Monsters and when Kaiba has his three Blue Eyes, Yugi gets Exodia and yahoo he wins. And he does Mind Crush! =D

And in the aftermath, Bakura pops out, is taken over by his Millennium Ring, and then they play this RPG board game where Yugi and pals become the player pieces and pharaoh has to control them. Pluz there's Zorc!

Now then, connections to the show we all love: Joey being all bully at the beginning with Yugi, Kaiba vs Yugi (and the gramps kidnapping), Duel Monsters (although the rules are all screwed up and often requires you know mythology or something o_O), Tea as a waitress, Bakura vs. Yugi (with something where Bakura messes with the group's souls), Capsule Monsters?, etc.

So I guess I enjoyed watching this Season 0. I noticed a lot more things about what I watched in my childhood, and I also got a little memory boost for that.

    Oh, and most importantly:

So I read all four volumes of Tite Kubo's debut manga, Zombie Powder, today.

It was interesting, although he ended the series (so far) less veered on the plot and a lot more on the characters... in my opinion. Leaves you kinda hanging, although the fights are fun. Even if it's unfinished, the feel of the fourth volume's ending is a bit like that's all there is ever gonna be for this story, such as with the doctor's proposal to Wolfine and Gamma's decision about Elwood and all that... Just feels a bit funny.

Gamma Akutabi = Grimmjow Jeagerjaques? =P
