  1. I was unaware of this. But in practical terms, as already mentioned, it would have equaled less money for Lego. As for the story, I assume Earth would end up controlling stone as well, and Water encompassing ice. I'm glad they added Kopaka and Pohatu though. Kopaka adds a much need rivalry and competition forTahu, and Pohatu comradery for all.

  2. Hmm, this is a tough one, and I usually find something I like in every set at least...but, I'd have to say Gadunka. It was the last and final 2007 set I needed to complete that collection and I actually got it that Christmas, along with all the Phantoka. I had initially held out because I just didn't like the design, and it wasn't an important character. After building it however, I found out I did indeed like it, and I think it is a unique set.

  3. Well I finally got around to reading it. Without spoilers, I enjoyed it for what it was worth. I think it could have been longer, specifically for each journey with the Toa finding there masks. The ending was also very rushed, as has been stated. Overall it got the job done of fleshing out characters, especially the protectors, which I appreciate. Hopefully they only get better from here. It was very nice being able to buy BIONICLE book. It's been a long time.

  4. In the case of Jaller, Takutanuva used a part of his own lifeforce to trigger Jaller's restoration. With Takanuva, there was no such instance, so we go by the book description and say that he survived by splitting the fusion and leaping out of the way while Teridax got crushed--hence, Takanuva needed no reviving, since there was no other means by which to do so.

That's how I always saw it too. I just figured the Takutanuva using up some of his life force to revive Jaller ended up  weakening him to the point where the fusion split. Takanuva shot out in one direction, and Teridax under the door that crushed his armor.

  5.

    The prices.

Really, you think so? Bionicle has always been one of the lowest-priced LEGO series, all things considered, and that hasn't changed a bit with the reboot. Out of over 250 Bionicle sets released to date, only 40 were priced higher than $20, and only ten were priced higher than $50. No Bionicle set has EVER cost more than $90 at retail. Contrast LEGO City, one of the LEGO Group's current top-selling brands, which since its launch in 2005 has had thirty sets priced at $90 or higher, and seven this year alone!

Eh, for him, maybe it's expensive. Price is always a subjective topic, and while you have your facts straight, that doesn't make it less expensive to him. To me and you, it might not be so bad. But him, maybe.

  6. The Codrex, like everybody is saying. I'd also venture to say that possibly the uninhabited islands from the MU's southern areas (Mata Nui's legs). If they were just rocky islands, then there really isn't anything to really destroy, is there?. As for what we know is certainly destroyed, Metru Nui. Metru Nui is beyond a doubt, gone.

  7. Back in the day, I didn't really hide that I liked BIONICLE, because I honestly didn't care what others thought about my liking it. Then it ended when I was halfway through High School, and I fell out of LEGO until G2 came out. Now I have a select number of close friends that I actually care what they think , and even if they do judge my collections/hobbies, they do not say anything, and that's perfectly fine. They are not into it, thus we do not discuss it, such as how I'm not into somethings they like, and we don't talk about them either.

  8. Yeah I just checked and there is.

No "post-it-here" topics, which means a topic trying to act like an official "only post about this subject here" topic, or a topic providing no content and asking repliers to make the content. (A topic that asks a specific question does not count as this, although there's some gray areas.)

Guess there can't be an official thread.

  9. Guys! Here's my connection theory:

    There IS NO connection!

I know, right? It's kind of outrageous, but maybe we can headcannon it and ask Greg to canonize it!!1!1!!1

This is the story line and theories thread... I've noticed you like to constantly point out there is no connection, and we all already know that. We just like to speculate and theorize. No need to get angry. Also, Greg F has already confirmed there is no connection, so there will be no need to go running to him.  ;)

  10. Congratz, OP, this is the best cohesion theory i have read thus far.

Thanks! It popped into my head one day while I was at the gym and then before I knew it, I was done working out and instantly had to go to my computer to type it out.

Also, I think that maybe there should be an official G1-G2 thread where everybody can post their theories like mine. It might make the forum a bit less cluttered.

  11. 2008. The 2006-2008 story has always been my favorite and who could forget the ending with Teridax forming the Kraahkan in the stars over Metru Nui and proclaiming that he won, and he's banished Mata Nui?! Even though I know what happens afterwards, I still love that scene in the comics.
