    Well, at least I hope not.
     
    SotW was delayed this week because I had a very important, massive Science project to film on thursday, so everything got moved back a day. Therer were no double-voters,s o I got to pick from those suggested... and it's I've Just Seen a Face.

    Uber-annoyed

    I was very hopeful of being able to buy more Glatorian today, and was extremely thrilled when my Mom agreed to take me to TRU to get them, only if I agreed to do a lot of tedious errands with her, such as getting me new shoes, and buying a new can opener. Boring stuff.
     
    After completing these, we drove to TRU, and I went inside to the Lego section only to find - nothing. They weren't there.
     
    So, now I have to wait 3-8 days (seemingly an eternity) for my Malum, Raanu, Tarix, Berix, Vorox, and Zesk. For all of you who've been following Project Glatorian, I can guarantee that there won't be a new installment at least until I get them.

    Lucky Day

    I found a lucky penny today.
     
    It was especially lucky because it was a penny from 1906.
     
    This incident, combined with a certain SotW request, and my love of the nominated song, compelled me to choose Penny Lane.
     
    In Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs
    Of every head he's had the pleasure to know
    And all the people that come and go
    Stop and say hello
     
    On the corner is a banker with a motorcar
    The little children laugh at him behind his back
    And the banker never wears a mac
    In the pouring rain...
    Very strange

    My Aunt, Uncle, and cousin came today for Thanksgiving. My cousin is about 4-ish, and she likes LEGO Bricks. I've been teaching her about the Bionicle universe in simple terms for the past half-hour or so.
     
    Me: "Basically, their entire universe is a big guy, called Mata Nui. He's, like, 40,000,000 feet tall. But this bad Maluta guy takes over his body, which is the universe, and sends his spirit out into space inside a mask."
     
    Cousin: "Wow! Mata Nui is even taller than an airplane!"

    2011 LEGO Bricks

    Got myself some today at my local TRU. Unfortunately, I was unable to pick up the large 2011 Atlantis set that I had desired, but I did nab some other great stuff, including Stormer and Evo 2.0's.
     
    Dare I say, they are rather awesome. Definitely a whole new direction in the way of LEGO action figures - I like it. I await seeing some nice MOCs which will use the new joints in cool ways. Pretty much every part is new. These Heroes are flippin' sweet.
     
    On an unrelated note, yesterday, the cast list for my production of Les Miserables (best show ever) was posted. I am Thernadier. Mixed feelings on that, feelings which I don't feel like going into because the situation is complicated and I tried to write a lengthy blog entry about it last night but then my computer (still the PC, iMac isn't set up yet) died and took the entry-in-the-works with it so I lost heart in sharing said thoughts in said verbose manner. Anyway, there you have it.

    On an unrelated note, the callbacks for a production of Bye Bye Birdie I tried out for were posted earlier today, and I'm on the list. Callback auditions tomorrow! Excitement!

    So today, I worked at a thing in the city, this christmas event for homeless children. I helped them decorate gingerbread men, took dishes, put out candy, set up tables and chairs.
     
    All around me were little children and their families, none of whom had homes of their own. It really put into perspective just how lucky and privileged I and all the rest of those who have houses really are... I felt almost guilty about how I have it all, and they have nothing. So it was both rewarding and heartbreaking to be volunteering to help them.

    The intense scheduling that was my life this past week has at last eased up. This makes me happy. Hopefully it means I'll be more active next month, too.
