A totally epic-sounding quote from someone who I just cannot place in my mind. It sounds like one of the Piraka or maybe Vezon.

But yeah, I think actual romance would be out of the bounds of programming. Although it would be interesting if some Toa "glitched" into feelings for another Toa and then had to fix himself, thus killing the romance.

Gosh, it's been so long ago. I think the first product was one of those tubs of Lego Bricks. But the first actual set....Was Union vs. Confederacy AKA American Civil War a thing? If not, it was a Legorado set. But I do know it had a dude with a Confederate uniform and a horse, and possibly some dynamite. I think my grandmother from Down South gave it to me. She's from one of those towns where they think the Civil War is still going on.

True. It's like every single prank has been done already and those that haven't been, people would guess. For example, MLP is so hot right now on the rest of the internet that to do it here would seem almost expected. Everyone(everypony?) would give a collective "meh, saw that coming" and go on with their normal posting. To do nothing would be slightly unexpected since they've done it before. But, whatever you want to do is fine. Like I said, I'm down with a good prank.
In 2005, BZP had KimPower, where they claimed they were selling the site to a Kim Possible fan. Boy was there outrage and we got fooled. Great times. My Little Power would actually work really well for a turnaround in lack of member pranking. But BZP has become so ungullible after those pranks so many years ago.Doubt it will be anything MLP related (that may drive people away).

When was the last time Bionicle actually brought back one of their own themes (not liscensed like Star Wars) from a long hiatus? I think the current Pirates is a reimagining of a past Pirates theme (although I think the current one got put down by the liscensed POTC stuff) and Power Miners seems like a redesign of the old Rock Raiders. If Bionicle ever returns, I expect it'll be like Power Miners: complete overhaul, rebooted storyline, new name, and dead again pretty soon. I just hope the storyline continues. That's what kept me coming back to Bionicle. I actually like the design of the Hero Factory sets better, but I've stopped buying them because I have no interest in the storyline whatsoever. It's just not as complex as Bionicle's.

^^True that^^I beat it on occasion, but it was mostly dumb luck. I swear, the AI cheats and teleports when it's behind me. I will cap that Rahkshi and zoom straight past it, but as soon as I hit one little obstacle he leaves me in the dust . . . lava . . . lava dust.
-
They were for holding sets? I could never get mine to fit back inside once I'd built them. I guess that keeps them from getting dusty, but I'd rather have them out in the open.Oh, the forts... I shall readily admit that I've built forts out of them. And it was fun. :biggrin:But mostly I'm boring and they just hold sets. Because, y'know, that's what they're for and all.~|ET|~

By Mata Nui...This new form made me LOL hard. Especially the Gali and Tahu pages."Congratulations Spike, you're the new Rainbow Dash. Now let's go!"This April Fool's is better than the BZP one, whatever it is.

Oh, so Toa of Plasma are basically overpowered Toa of Fire? http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/tounge2.gif
Sort of correct but it's a gas, not a liquid. It's the fourth state of matter, basically; solid is cool, liquid is warmer, gas is even hotter, and plasma is super-hot.Also it's not that the substance generates heat but the Toa generates superheat as well as gas, so the combination is Plasma. It does tend to melt solid things, though, such as stone to lava, since it's so hot.I always saw Bionicle plasma as a liquid element that generates its own source of heat. Kind of like acid, except instead of breaking things down, it melts them.

They'll just prey on our paranoia for the rest of the day.YOUR CONFUSION AND SUSPICION SUSTAINS THEM!

Well, IMHO, stone is used to control solid rock, earth is used to control ground up rock or severely decayed organic matter. Rock, I imagine, was a prototype combo of stone and earth, and the GB's nixed sand because it was obsolute. "The internet" says that all materials are affected by magnetism to some degree, if their electrons are aligned properly. It's just easier for metal, specifically iron, to align properly. So in theory, Magnetism could affect other materials, not just iron/metal. I always saw Bionicle plasma as a liquid element that generates its own source of heat. Kind of like acid, except instead of breaking things down, it melts them."If you're wondering how the elements workand other science factsThen repeat to yourself:It's just a toy line, I really should relax"

Daiker's way is the best, in my opinion. It's the most comfortable and the most reliable. It's also rather easy, if you have a strong enough grip. Plus it looks like you're putting the Toa in some kind of torture device or deathtrap, a la Saw.

The Piraka. I went through a Voyatoran mindset when I first got Zaktan. Thought he was a Toa of Air, the baddest Toa of Air ever to walk the carpet of my room. The light-up eyes were just awesome icing on the epic cake. Mind, this was before the storyline for these guys was released. Then I checked the website after a few weeks and found out he was just some kind of non-mask-using bandit guy. So really, the story ruined it for me, not the set itself. That and the fact that all of my light-up eye pieces recently ran out of batteries simultaneously.

When I was a wee lad, I got a Tahu Mata set one day on the way home from something. I thought it was THE COOLEST ever, so I collected the rest of the Mata. My purchasing dropped off until about 2003, when I got the Rahkshi. Then in 2004 we got internet access and I learned there was a story behind the sets. That's when I really started being a serious Bionicle fan. Bionicle was the only reason I still bought LEGO sets, in fact. Haven't bought a whole line of sets since the Stars, just cool looking ones every now and then and the Architect sets.

Think TLC switched to a different plastic company about 2007-ish and that's why the lime green plastic pieces are all rubbish. Some of those, I've found cracked right out of the canister. I normally use broken pieces for zombie MOC's and the like. If a certain type of piece cracks a lot, y'might want to order a ton of extra pieces instead of just the ones you need. Would save time if the piece cracks later.

Definitely forts. I make Technic siege engines and test them out on Bionicle canister castles. Those little hollow plastic containers make very satisfying "thunk" noises when you hit them with that boulder piece.

The Ninrah Ghost Blasters that came with the Toa half of the Mistika never work right for me, but the Makuta ones work fine. I even try switching the ammo and the bulb part. If it's in any other configuration, it works fine. If it's in the exact Toa configuration, never works. Except when I tell someone it doesn't work and show them. Then it works just fine...
