    The Ideal Gas Law...

I just used this as a lame joke in <dd>'s blog, and that got me thinking of another lame joke that could take up a whole entry in MY BLOG! How could I resist, really? Besides, I have nothing else to add besides complaining.... As you should know, the Ideal Gas Law is... PV=nRT Here's how it applies to college life. (Peer Pressure) * (Volume of Homework) = (Number of pounds I've gained by eating way too much greasy food) * (constant stress) * (temperature of fever) Okay, so I might have a bleak outlook on college life so far... I've always hated school to a degree, and it's all the worst because I take school seriously too, so I can't just skip off classes whenever I feel like it. I think my courses would be a bit easier if I didn't have Chemistry and a lab every week to freak me out. Anyway, it's also my first semester, so this is just shock from not being in high school anymore (and sometimes that is a shock when I remember that). Some people say that college is one of the best parts of their lives. These are the people that are taking business degrees, and have only two classes two days out of the week. :glares: *note: no offense to anybody who can be offended by any of this... you should know that by reading this blog that you are exposing yourself to my thoughts and, if taken in the incorrect way, may prove poisonous... * Also of note... I still have chem homework done (Ideal Gas Law, coincidental) and I'm on BZP. Strange how that always seems to happen.
  2. Scorpio Get ready for an unexpected trip, when you fall screaming from an opened window. Work a little bit harder on improving your low self esteme... you stupid freak. That's your horoscope for today... ay ay ay ay! That's your horoscope for today!! Horoscope for Today ~ Weird Al Yankovic I liked some of the other perdictions better (The stars say you're a exciting and wonderful person... but you know they're lying). But, hey, destiny is not giving me a choice... And yes, this is my current favorite song of the current time. *hums to self, hoping somebody will get the hint and the neighboors don't yell at me for singing too loudly at two in the morning*
  3. Here's what I care about in college... in this exact order. When do I have to get to my next class? When can I sleep (or can't sleep)? When and where can I eat? When can I check out my e-mail (and BZP)? When is my homework due? When am I going to crack? (I got really close to this last week when I fell ill) Another noteworthy thing: although people have been nagging me to use one for the past five years, I have still not made much use of my day planner. I don't write down many assignments or due dates in it... and those I do write down I never check back on so it's alwasy a surprise. Mostly, I've written down after-school related activities, and half of those have been canceled anyway.
  4. Okay, I’ve brought this topic up a few times, but I want to make a blog about it now. Question in point: When was the last time you ever saw a bright green piece in Bionicle? First, let’s get the colors straight. Bright Green = Lewa’s primary color, as well as the primary color for the Lehvak and Lerahk. The basic shade of green that’s seen in Lego bricks elsewhere. Thus, my favorite shade of green. I call it bright green because, back in the day, there was this program on Bionicle.com that showed all the Kanohi masks and their powers and different colors, and the option was for bright blue and bright green, thus separating them from other shades of colors that could otherwise be labels “blue” and “green” Lime Green = the secondary color of Lewa, the Lehvak, and the primary color of good ol’ Turaga Matau. Lime green, the lighter version of green, has become more widely available in recent sets, but doesn’t entirely replace bright green. Dark Green = the primary color for pretty much ever “green” set since Toa Matau. It’s a dark, duller green, that I just don’t find all that exciting or worthy of MOCing in. It just doesn’t seem to fit with many other colors… Sand Green = the secondary color of Zaktan, and I think that’s the only place it’s found in the Bionicle universe so far. It’s kind of a lighter green, but not quite as vibrant as lime green. Trans Green = Eye colors for sets all over the board. There’s a light green version and a dark green version. Now that I’ve separated the greens out, let’s think back to when we last saw the color I codenamed “bright green”. As far back as I can remember, it only came with the Lerahk Rahkshi, and everything got darker afterwards. Don’t believe me? Let’s go through a list of the sets that have contained green… Matau: Primary color dark green, secondary color gray. Okay, he was the first, so he wasn’t that bad in dark green. Vorzahk: Primary color dark green, secondary color gray. Nurzahk: Yeah, yeah, he was red, but he had a green eyepiece, which could be dubbed the last real “bright green” piece ever seen in Bionicle. Nidhiki: Dark Green and gray, dude. Although he also had the green eyepiece, didn’t he? Orkahm and Rahaga Iruini, as well as Piruk and Defilak: Basic Dark green pieces. Matau Hordika: Dark green and gray. Seriously, this color combination is so dull that it began to turn me off of green sets. Visorak Keelerak: Dark Green and lime green. The first reintroduction of lime green. It worked, but no nearly as well as the bright green and lime green of Lewa. Toa Iruini: Dark Green and Gold… an odd combination, and probably the best I’ve seen made with dark green. Beats gray, at least. Zaktan: Dark green and sand green. The colors work well together, but they just don’t contain the vibrancy I like to see in green sets. They’re just all… dull. Kongu Inika: Dark green (AGAIN!!) and silver. Better than gray, but still! Ehlek: Dark green and lime green: We saw that with the Visorak! Okay, the cool looking spines add some good vibrancy, but that’s about it. Hahli Mahri and Noctrum: Dark blue mixed in with lime green. Not a bad combination, but those aren’t Toa of Air, are they? Kongu Mahri: Dark green and gray. Yuck. My love of green sets has ended. Now, why can’t Lego bring bright green back into the picture. And I know it’s not because they switched colors in 04 and don’t want to switch back. They’ve brought bright blue back… take a look at Dalu, not to mention all those O+ rods that clash horribly with everything. Red made a comeback as the secondary color in Hakann, as well as in Cordak blasters and those new styles of rods. Sure, brown hasn’t made a comeback… but brown has never been a popular color in Bionicle, right? Black and white have hardly changed, and we’ve seen other secondary colors of 2001 brought back into play (lime green, light blue, orange, sand blue). Why can’t we see a Toa of air at least with a secondary color of bright green? I also don’t believe that the majority of kids hate that shade of green. Look at the comics… has Matau or Zaktan ever appeared to be a dark shade of green? No, they’re always brilliant emerald, a color that’ll catch your attention and look cool. Yes, Bionicle sets have gotten darker in colors in general since the days of Metru-Nui, but I’ve seen brighter versions reappear. Why isn’t bright green among them? That it my rant for the evening. Take note that this is all opinion, and this is also based solely on the sets, with no storyline mumble jumble included. I know some people prefer dark green over bright green, but some people also prefer brown over Keetongu yellow, so opinions differ but sets are still made with one color or another. I hope that in the future bright green is reintroduced in some form or another. I’m not talking a complete rejection of dark green (I wouldn’t mind that) but just an inclusion of bright green. But if Lewa is dark green on lime green, or, even worst, gray… I don’t know what I’ll do. (But I won’t be buying that set, that’s for sure!)
  5. Recenty, I have read a topic on Comedies and a topic on Epics in General Discussion. In the Comedy topic, people are bashing comedies because of their general lack of quality. (Which to an extent I agree upon) In the epics topic, people are naming off their favorite topics (mine never got mentioned... in fact, most I've never heard of before. (Yeah, I am not that great of a mass reviewer anymore)) But there was something that irked me off in both topics. The way people protrayed their own stories. In the Epics topic, people would say that their favorite story was their current epic. To give them credit, yes, most people seem to prefer their own work, because if they wrote something they hated they probably would've never continued on with it and/or posted it in the first place. However, I view this as a cheap way to advertise their epic. Why? (Well, for starters, it's something I would've done a few years back). Plus, if people say their epic is their favorite, other people assume it's good and rush off to read it right away... or so is how the advertising is supposed to go. I frown upon this form of advertisements... I believe that people should accept that others have better skills than they do, and should thus aknowledge those stories as their favorites. I know for certain there are better authors out there than me... I'm sure the only reason I've ever won anything in a story contets is due to lack of competition. I am proud of the skills I do have, but I accept my faults and praise others for their great work that inspires me. So this is not to say that you should think that you own work isn't qorth anything, but when asked "What's Your Favorite Story" don't say "Only Mine." Then I'll just assume you're an author who's never read anybody elses story and you just want some quick reviews for your story. In the Comedies topic, people seem to be lashing out saying what they hate about all the comedies out there, and how they'd rather jump into a tar pit with vicious crocodiles than try and read one of those comedies (okay, that may have been slightly exagerated. ) Some people retaliated, saying that there are good comedies, as well as say why they like or dislike comedies. However, again, we have people saying "the only comedies that are any good are my own." That's one thing to say if they're talking about their favorites, but when they're also bashing other people's comedies at the same time... My view of the whole topic is that it comes down to taste... some people like the crazy, random comedies, and some people don't. But to state that your comedy is better quality than everything else... that's a tad bit pigheaded there. Get down to earth, buddy. Odds are, there are people who's skills at writing is better than yours. (I heard a reference to Douglas Adams humor... haven't heard anybody say they've topped him) Secondy, the comedy forum isn't for serious, detailed stories, and it's more likely that members are just starting their writing careers there by posting a few comedies that may not have great standards, but they don't deserve to be trodden upon. I know for sure some of my earlier work was am embarassment to me, and it was a wonder that anybody ever reviewed it. So, anyway, give some comedies a chance. If you don't like some, then don't reply to them, or better yet give 'em some advice on how to improve. But don't go bashing them and stimutaniously say that you're comedies are so much better. Now, by no means am I singling any individual BZP member out here (excpet for myself) and I don't mean any offense to anybody who posted in one of the ways I critisized above. These are just some of my moral opinions based on what I've read in the topics mentioned above. If you find any of this offensive... well, it's your own fault, because you kept reading until you were done, and now like it or not, I got my point embedded in your brain! Muhahaha... *ahem* And anyway, I control the replies to my entries. Whatever... on a side note, there's this comedy I've had for a while now that I'm thinking about writing down. The comedy topic inspired me to think about posting another comedy, but I've been having a writer's block for a while now on everything, so don't expect anything too soon. Because that writer's block also extends to that lab assignment that's due tomorrow...

    American Pie

The song, of course. Anyhow, my current crave in music right now is Weird Al parody songs, and he's done a parody called "Saga Begins" of "American Pie" by Don McLean. The parody is a retelling of Star Wars I: The Phantom Menis. The lyrics are pretty cool, and I memorized most of them by now. But it's so cool how the parody is so close to the original song, which I have listened to before but never paid too much attention to. So, I bought (legally on Zune) the original "American Pie", and I am now determined to memorize all the lyrics, like I have done for other long songs like "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel. I have a few of the stanzas down, but there are a few I'm still working on. It gives me something to hum to myself as I walk between classes. No, I will not post the lyrics here like every other stereotypical song entry. BTW, the other (longish) song that I have mostly memorized is Weird Al's "Horoscope For Today". "American Pie" may have some hidden meaning in it that singing over and over again might be revealed to me (or not), but "Horoscope For Today" is just amazingly funny. <-- For once that emotion makes sence, doesn't it?

    New Avatar. Huh?

I just made myself a new avey. Why? I dunno? 'Cause I can, since all the Powerpoint files where I made Lego heads is now on a computer wth output devises. Anyway, here it is. That's the expression I've been practicing fo a while now, and wanted to see if I could make a visual copy of what I have going on in my head (how I imagine the expression). All I changed was the eyebrow, eye shape, and mouth. They kinda work, but not quite what I'm looking for. I seem to be thinking of some sort of other facial exression that incorperate maybe wrinkles in the skin, lips, and a nose that's not tw intersecing lines. But, hey, I can't draw that well, which is why I stick to Lego faces. And I think I got the basic concept down. My main problem was getting the right curve on the eyebrow so that he has the kinda "huh" expression, and not a "I'm coming after you with a chainsaw" syle of expression. upils in the eyes might work too, but too much detail is dfficult for me. Anyway, until I create another crazy lego expression... Edit: Oh yeah, the real reason I made this: I'm putting of chem homework.

    Relationship Songs

Think about it. Lots of popular songs have to deal with a significant other or a search for one. Sometimes, they’re love songs… two people meet randomly and like each other, and then there’s a nice melody and lyrics and everything to make it sound good and all. There are the breakup songs, songs about having that significant other cheat on them or walk out on them and all that. I don’t mind these songs… sometimes they’re really good songs, which are after all about the music and lyrics more than the meaning… a meaning’s just an extra thing, but not something that decides whether you like the song or now (for me, anyways). But what gets me is how big a proportion of songs out there involve “love” about boys or girls or that such a thing. For general, I’ll label this genre “relationship songs” for lack of a better term. Now for some experimentation. Part 1 Go grab your music player and set the thing to random (like every other music thingy out there in BZP blogs). Go through the first ten or so songs (if you want to continue with this through however many songs you have, go ahead, but ten makes it better for creating percentages afterwards.) Listen to the individual songs and determine if they’re a relationship song or not (of course, there is some leeway, as some songs might not quite fit in the category). Do this for the first ten songs, then say the percentage of those songs that were relationship songs. My example. Out of my first ten songs, three were relationship songs. That’s only 30%. However, out of my first twenty songs, ten were love songs, so that’s 50%. I’m curious to see the statistics on this, so if you have some time to quickly do this, please post your results, at least for part 1. Please. Part 2 Okay, now go through your songs and find the first ten songs that are not relationship songs. (Or how ever many you want to post) If you want to, describe what the song is actually about. My example… (note, my taste is music comes from the lyrics and music and everything you get out of song at face value. So if I get one of the song descriptions off, don’t bother correcting me, because I don’t really care…) “We Got the Beat” by The Go-Gos: I interpret it as a dance song, which doesn’t have to be with a significant other… “Blue Collar Man” by Styx: About getting a better job. “Jamming Me” by Tom Petty: He’s talking about stuff he’s fed up with. “Learning to Fly” by Tom Petty: Metaphorical song about moving on. “Come On, Come On” by Smash Mouth: A village crazy’s (or something of that equivalent) view of life. “Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty: He’s just telling people he’s not going to back down (excellent song, BTW) “Kung Fu Fighting” by (???- I don’t have the artist recorded. Huh?): Well, come on, it’s about kung fu fighting! “Rocky Mountain High” by John Denver: Talking about some guy hanging out in the beautiful rocky mountains. “Our House” by Madness: I doubt this is a love song, since it appears to be talking about a family on face value… from a kids point of view. “Welcome to My Life” by Simple Plan: by some guy who’s life is obviously a lot worst than yours. As you can probably tell, I’m into Tom Petty, and a lot of it is because he has lots of songs that go in other directions rather than just a “Boyfriend together with girlfriend” or “girlfriend totally dumps boyfriend” theme. I like songs that vary in themes other than Relationships, and one of my favorite songs (not yet listed) is “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel. If that song doesn’t have a different theme, then I don’t know what does. In my opinion, too many relationship styled songs, no matter how cool a tune, will get old after a time, without some new theme thrown in every now and then. (Plus, when you have to do school assignments or something like that which relates to a song, relationship songs never seem to work out.) Anyway, I’m interested to see some music statistics from members who read this blog occasionally, so for once, I’ll ask you to please reply.

    Bzp Iron Man Contest

I've seen some posts pondering over what would be the next cool contest. I got randomly struck by this neat idea, and decided to blog it 'cause I didn't have anything better to do. The Iron Man BZP Contest First, you must create a MOC of something really cool. Second, you must write a short story of that MOC Third, you must draw a title picture for your story, which incoprerates a scene from the story as well as a rendered version of your MOC. Then everybody reviews your work and votes on it. I have a pretty good idea that this would be a difficult contest, requiring most of the skills nessecary to enter any particular contest on BZP, but combining them all. Worst, people probably wouldn't vote according to the best overallwork, because they'd all be too lazy to view everything. But, hey, it's an idea.
  10. Well, maybe, so here are my thoughts… I was just viewing this topic , asking what was your least favorite year. I answered 2005, and listed my reasons. Other people voted for other years too, because they have this oddity that I call “different opinions” that I just don’t quite understand but will have deal with anyway. Anyways, as I saw the results, I saw that 2001 didn’t get any votes (yeah, the first year of Bionicle bombed so badly that I stayed tune because I knew it could only get better) but 2002 also wasn’t rated the worst year either. That got me thinking. And realizing what a rare occurrence that is, I decided to write those thoughts down in a blog and post it for greater marketability. Am I done with the lame jokes yet? Probably not. So, what was 2002 all about anyway? Oh yeah, it was the Year of the Bohrok (they should add that to the Chinese calendar). So what made it so good that these buggy invaders could capture an audience after all the great Rahi-fighting Toa Originales? (just because there was an alternate poll discussing who uses ‘mata’ and ‘olda’, so I had to make up something ‘newa’) Uh, well, here are some of my thoughts. Sets: The Bohrok were plagued with what we later called “clone-itus”. Besides for color and shield piece, they were identical. Why’d this work? Well, they were really the first clones to come around, because the Toa were not very clone-ish and the Rahi were far from it. (The Turaga and Matoran… well, for the sake of my argument, let’s not consider them to be pure clones yet. ) So, for the first “real” cloned sets, maybe people were more tolerant. When Lego wanted you to pick up six more of the same design with the Kal, then it got out of hand. Then there was the fact that the sets were actually MONDO COOL! Think of it, have any other canister sets had all the playability of a Bohrok. They had arms, legs, and heads, so you could play with them in a humanoid-style fashion. They had about the best function ever with their head snapping gears (all the other gear sets either twirled arms or waists). If that function ability wasn’t enough, they could launch krana out of their foreheads as well. Then they could transform into their ball-like states to either be stored in status or used for bowling or other ball-related sports. (ever play Bohrok baseball? Then you’re glad all your Bohrok are clones) Really, mobility and overall image of sets have improved, but how many sports can you use a Piraka in? I can’t think of many (they could act as bowling pins in bohrok bowling, I suppose). Then there was a storyline, which extended on the already super cool one that Bionicle had already established. The best thing they did was reuse the old heroes for the first part of the year, so we didn’t immediately get the Toa Bohroko, who descended from the skies to help fight off the Bohrok once the original Toa got crushed in round one. The comics were good, creating one of the most suspenseful and exciting sagas of the Bionicle comics that I can remember. (because later on the comics were always splicing up missing sections from the movies and books. In 02 they told the whole story). If you got bored of the toa’s adventures fighting the Bohrok, then you also had the cool flash animations on the web considering the home front (the animations weren’t the next MNOLG, but they sure beat MNOLG 2 for storyline material). It was a great year for a story, maybe even better than current years because it didn’t disregard anything of the past, because they considered most people would still remember 2001. Or maybe it also had something to do with me remembering the glory years of Bionicle, which were so much better than this current stuff, and which shaped my childhood forever! ( Note: maybe that’s too dramatic) Anyway, I thought it was good. Yeah, there were other downsides. The Bohrok Va were not cut out to be replacements of the Turaga sets. With the Toa Nuva, we got the first signs of infection of clone-itus. The Bahrag, Exo Toa, and Boxer were excellent sets with amazing functions, but they were too expensive for some people. The on-line game of the time wasn’t any good (Battle for Mata-Nui… move Toa thingies around to whack all bohrok in le-Koro and Ta-koro, but get glitched out in Ga-Koro and die. Not to mention that this comes at the time when the Bohrok have already been defeated.) And, in case anyone remembers, the on-line updates were really slow… we got the last half of the online episodes in the last one month of the year. And, worst of all, the Bohrok saga just led to the Kal saga, which was a major flop set-wise. But in the poll I linked to above, nobody had voted 2002 the worst year yet. So I’m going to credit the Bohrok for bringing a little bit of happiness to us in that year that made us like it better than, say, 2003 or 2005. They filled our hearts with joy as they unexplainably destroyed most of Mata-Nui and threatened to bring the end of Matoran society. (Hmm, I do believe that’s a good example of irony! Or satire… I dunno, did you memorize the meanings of all those English phrases? I was in the back doodling on my notes) ((And really, what the Bohrok did wasn’t all bad, the great spirits wanted them to do that stuff with leveling everything on Mata-Nui. They’re timing was a bit off because Makuta messed with their alarm clock. But, of course, we didn’t know that…)) Now did you get through that with a straight head? If so, then I obviously didn’t twist my words around enough. Make sure to count how many lame jokes you counted… so I can tell how well you read this.

    Theme Music

Just listening to my new Ipod and watching internet Indiana Jones trailers (turns out they're fanmade, but some are okay), and I'm thinking about how many songs I have that are themes to some sort of show or another. So, here's a quick list. Back to the Future- Awesome music for time travelin'. Originally bought it to be used in a spanish parody of the movie I did for my (gosh) spanish class. Kept it 'cause it's cool. Indiana Jones Theme Music: Kinda obvious, right? Although there are multiple varieties of Indy music, and only have one. I’ve been meaning to search for some others to download, whether they be free from Lucus Films or paid for through Zune (yes, I buy music on Zune but now I listen to an ipod.) Also note, I know how to enjoy orchestra music and hum it to myself, but I know nothing about composing it or otherwise making it. So if my ignorance mortifies any of you band geeks, well, I warned ya. Pirate of the Caribbean Theme Music: Not the best selection, and I can’t remember where I got it. I know it wasn’t something I got for myself… maybe somebody else gave me the song. Top Gun theme music: I have it, but I don’t like it as much. I think this particular track was recorded off something else, because it’s rather broken. Jurassic Park: I did another parody of that movie for my Spanish class, so I have its theme music too. Star Trek Intro music: also for the Spanish project, and this fifty second long track I bought online for 99 cents. Rip off. But, of course, it is from the original star trek, so that’s a plus. The Bridge of Khazad Dum- LotR: I love the traditional LotR theme music, and BoKD has the best section of it. Probably because that was the most spectacular section of the first movie, but I love listening to it over and over. It just brings all the excitement of LotR right down to it, plus a little soft section where Galdalf dies. I took this song off a CD from my friend, and I also took the track “Treason of Isengard” Phantom of the Opera: One of the musicals I saw when I went to New York. There’s one, I dunno, track of it that I really like, which is like the intro music they use for the phantom himself that is just great rock. The rest of the music is more soft, but tis okay. Curtains: Another musical I saw in NY, NY. This one’s not so much for the music as the lyrics, which are hilarious! Les Miserables: a classical musical, or so I’ve been told. I bought a CD of the original broadway cast in New York, and some of the songs aren’t half bad. Breakfast at Tiffanies: Never seen the movie, but the song rocks. Actually, I think the song came after the movie, didn’t it? Oh well. Aladdin: For a while, I was craving Disney music, so I bought the Aladdin CD online. Wild Again (Original Soundtrack from the movie Cocktails, by Starship, or Jefferson Starship. I dunno what their name was at that time): This is just a completely awesome song that I love to listen to. Never seen the movie, but I can’t find this song anywhere besides the movie’s original soundtrack, so I guess the two must be interchangeable. And I think that’s most of it. Now you know some of what I’m listening to. *Currently listen to Theme from Back to the Future*
  12. Insomnia. Whatever depraved, unholy creature invented this travesty against mankind, I curse it. I sit here, at 4:40 AM EST, having not slept in over a day, posting an otherwise irrelevent post in a temporarily blog that few will read. My eyes burn as though the contents of an entire salt-mine had been poured into them, and I have ingested two bottles of Vault and half a gallon of chocolate milk. One question arose in my mind, as I sat and watched my shiny, newly completed "Stargate SG-1" DVD collection: Why? Why is it that I have the primal, nocturnal urge to sit around on a couch, watching "Scorched Earth" for the ten-trillionth time, instead of doing something more useful like sleeping. What dark monstrosity lurks in the bowels of my mind, cackling as he pulls the various switches to make me do such odd, nerdy and unhealthy things? I fear my poor little heart may burst from the sheer amount of caffine I have ingested over the past week. Then I see Colonel Jack O'Neill jump, in full glory, upon my father's plasma screen. He says something about having no choice but to blow the alien Genesis ship up, as it threatens the lives of those he had saved. Everyone whines, of course, but O'Neill, being a master of all things cool, asks for an alternative solution. There is none. So he tells Major Carter to rig the highly powerful Nasquadah reactor to explode. It is at this point, that I realize how awesome the Stargate Program would be, and how sweet international politics would be after that. Everyone whines to the US that they deserve the advanced Alien technology being discovered, too. I silently curse the world, as they, being lazy, didn't risk their lives to go get it. The Russians, however, get a shiny battlecruiser for their help. If it wasn't for their spectacular mess-ups in their own Stargate Program, the show would have ended a few seasons earlier. They even have thier own SG team. THis makes me happy, as they are working hard for their Alien Technology. Even Canada helps! They lend a rather annoying scientist who, at best, annoys Samantha Carter with his snobbish and "holier-then-thou-American" attitude. Wheeeeeeee! International politics. I get a creepy feeling and rub my spine. Nope. No Goa'Uld yet. Though it would be nice to be: KHONSHU! GOA'ULD SYSTEM LORD OF VENGENCE! Then I realize, my crazy, MPD-suffering namesake Marc Spector, serves a snakey thing that burrowed into a guy's spine. This throughly disgusts me, but the idea of a snaky-thing bursting from faceless Bushman and launching itself at my Alabaster super-powered friend is just too funny to ignore, and I silently chuckle to myself as Daniel Jackson whines about "alternate choices". Blow up the ship already! Carbon-Supremacy! Hoo-YAH! *Kicks a rock* Eat that Silicon or Sulfer-based life! Carbon is superior! We are made of meeeeeeat! Now, I silently wonder to myself, as I watch a massive ship incinerate a load of trees for no better reason then to make the entire planet habitable for the extinct "peace-loving" race of losers whose genetic material happens to be stored on board, why I haven't gone to sleep. My cognitive abilities seem to be impared, and I can't remember, for the life of me, what caused me to segway into those various topics. The answer to my question, is simple. The end of the episode. Compromise! Wheeeee! Robot guy is gonna fly all the freaky, easily-blinded aliens off to their original homeworld, where they'll face a dreadfully long, drawn out, and possibly rascist reintegration into their old society. And now, as the robot decides to stay with the people he was made to emulate and the credits roll, I prepare to wander up to my dark layer, swing into bed, and tick my dad off because I wake up at three in the afternoon. My mind goes to the moral of the story, as I finish typing this blog entry. What was it all about? Why was O'Neill so livid in this episode? What's the bottom line. It comes to my mind with the last, slowed keystrokes of an Insomniac, ending his eternal ravings for at least that night. I love Stargate SG-1. And Sulfur-based lifeforms, are laem. Goodnight.

    Reformatting

Now, here's a new train of thought. Everybody else has some spacial design banners for their bloggy thing. I'm thinking of creating my own this summer, with features like my MOCs and stories and whatnot. But I'm trying to decide what theme I should use. Should I use mini-figure pictures that are or relating to Team J.A.F., or should I use Matoran from Time Disruption? (Jala, Takua, Maku, Huki, Hahli, Nuparu). Because, you know, this is an important decision that could change my blog forever.

    Anger

I have come to realize that anger is a selfish impulse. You get angry at people for doing something that restricts the action of your getting something. Think about it. Anger at bullies for stealing your lunch money- you get no lunch. Anger at somebody cutting you off in traffic- you can't get to where you're going that much longer 'cause they're getting ahead of you now. Anger at people for releasing pollutants and causing global warming- you don't get to lvie in a clean world and are going to die in the consequences of global warming. Anger at people for spamming on BZP- they are wasting space that could be taken up otherwise by you chatting with others. So, in the end, I realize that I am incredibly selfish, and will continue to be so for quite some time now. Because, as mentioned in my last blog, I am still angry with the world around me. Now to go stick my head in a bucket of water... or would that be someone else's head? Have a good day.

    Despite Things...

I am entirely ticked off with the world right now. Just so you all knew...
  17. I got a little bored while taking picts of my latest BBC entry. Here's hoping the image doesn't make my blog explode... First person to get it right... get to post about it first. Ha ha.
  18. Double Blog Entry in less than an hour, but I just had to post this... I was trying to find something to put in my sig, so I put in this Descartes joke I heard from my friend. (I think I even got the joke written down correctly). Anyway, just to look up Descartes's name (because I'm copy/pasteing it instead of typeing it) I logged onto Wikipedia and looked up the article "Cogito ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am". Anyway, I read some of the "Pop-culture references" and laughed at a few of them. Then I saw this one... BZPower's so important that it can even make it into a pop culture reference in a Cogito ergo sum Wikipedia article... I don't know what to make of that, but it surprises me. Wiki article here

    How Comes...

How come, when somebody risks their life to help another in a situation like a drowning or a house fire, if they succeed, they're hailed as a hero, and if they fail, they're considered stupid for trying? No particular reason for this, just thinking.

    How?

How do you get back into writing when you have no real inspiration and little free time. I feel like working on an epic, but I never seem to have any fresh ideas to move it forward and I spend my free time just mindlessly surfing BZP (and sometimes leaving mindful posts). But, really, I'm just falling out of writing. And I can't do any right now. It's midnight. I should be in bed.
  21. ... what should you write in your post? I've encoutered that lately. I view topics that I want to reply to, but when it comes down to it, I have absolutly nothing to really say about the topic at hand. Therefore, I follow the traditional rule and just don't post. After doing this three or four times, I'm starting to feel inactive. Now, I'm just waiting for the entry list to be updated for Epics Contest #6. Just to prove that I am a contestant. And that's all I have to look forward to. That, and maybe posting useless blog entries like this one. But you read it, so shame on you. X 2.
  22. I mean, it's a great game and all. But the load time takes longer than the actual game. You can never tell when the loading will finish. Seriously, sometimes the loading takes longer after the bar has filled then while it is filling. It really annoys me. Then there's when the whole thing freezes, usually around the Reidak and Zaktan levels. It starts loading, and then just stops. The game is difficult and all, but if the game would load correctly and/or faster, I'm sure I could finish it. I think that, maybe next year, Lego should have downloadable versions of Piraka Attack, Matoran Escape, Inika Assult... so that the loading (while playing the game) won't be so bad. :annoyed2: And I really want to get to that Zaktan level... only made it there once, and I had only one life, and i died and ended the game. I guess if I ever have more than two lives when I get that far up, the game freezes. Whatever it is, I don't like it. Even though I could be doing something more productive than playing games.
  23. Another year of Bionicle and BZPower is over. 2006 was a rather interesting year for me, both on BZPower and off. Unfortunately, it may well be my last full year. First of all, the Bionicle toy line was amazing this year. Other people may not agree, but I think it is the best story line since the Toa Mata. The Piraka and Toa Inika sets were all great, still relatively similar but with enough differences to make them not clones. The Voya-Nui Matoran were also amazing builds. I bought all the canister sets this year, an improvement (for Lego sales people, I guess) over last year, where I only picked up a few canister sets at my leisure. The storyline was great, and I think it was because I finally went out and bought all the books. If books sales went down, that’s too bad, but the story I got to read was very exciting. There was the Nuva again in Bionicle Legends 1, Jaller and his Matoran friends in BL2, who then turned into Toa for Bionicle Legends 3 and Bionicle Legends 5. The Piraka turned into the most interesting set of villains in Bionicle, for their unique personalities (all treacherous and mean, but different) and vast array of powers. Then you have the Titans and Matoran, and the story was full of material. I’ve come up with a couple different fan fiction ideas from 2006, which is more than I can say for 2005. All in all, I think 2006 was a success. Voya-Nui for the gold! My third year on BZPower went well too. I entered a total of 6 BBC Contest, and made into the Semi-Finals once (but it was from lack of competition, seriously). More importantly, I entered Epic Contest #5, Short Story Contest #4, and Storyline and Theory Contest #2, and placed well in all of them. I got honorably mentioned in the first two, and made it to the Semis in the third (which was, again, through lack of competition.) In Epics, I began the year by finishing strong with Kulagi’s Kanoka. In the summer, I revived Slivers on Mata-Nui to enter Epics Contest #5. I advanced the story a good number of chapter (I think 10) but then I ran out of inspiration and dropped the epic again. Worst, my sequel to Kulagi’s Kanoka, Kanoka Makers of Metru-Nui, was a flop that I haven’t continued yet, and the sequel to Time Disruption has died before it’s even been posted (loss of inspiration). My other Short Stories and Comedies I’ve posted this year haven’t been big either. I’ve come to recognize that I am no longer with the in-group of epic writers (probably never was, actually). Gone are the days of reading the works of Crisis, Daikaiju King, Golden Krana, or Gali Nuva’s Shadow, and I only seem to get reviews through Kumata Nuva (who is still working on his epic, so that’s one not lost). The only person I recognize in the Epic forums is GaliGee, and even she is working on her last epic. Most of the great storywriters I knew a couple of years ago have moved on and I may just be loitering around after them. I have school work and real life to begin worrying about, and I have considerably less time to write and even less inspiration for the majority of my works. Most people spend their time on BZP for a few years and then split, leaving an opening for incoming members. I have refused to give up BZPower, but if I can’t even post any work, why even stay so active? Anyway, I’ve had some changes in my real life as well this past year. I was the Senior Patrol Leader for my Scout Troop, I finished my Eagle Project, I entered my High School senior year, and I turned 18. And in a year, I hope to be attending a university with intensive studies. If I really want to start my life up, I’ll probably have to leave BZPower eventually, or become considerably less active. So, this is not an announcement of my departure, because I’ll probably continue to check up on BZP every day for the next couple of months. But it is announcement to not expect any work from me. My two-three epics that are out there that are unfinished will probably stay unfinished. I might post a short story or comedy every now and then, but then hardly anybody ever reviews them so why bother? What do I have to look forward to in 2007? Well, obviously, I’m going to pay close attention to the Bionicle storyline. Mahri-Nui sounds interesting, the sets look cool, and those next chapter books are going to be mine. I’ll stick to BZP to reply in random topics in GD. Mostly, though, I’ll probably update this blog with random thoughts that enter my head. If nobody wants to listen to my ramblings, then that’s their problem. Just make sure not to view the topic, because I might get excited if that number counter goes up. Anyway, have a happy new year, and here’s to 2006.
  24. Just wondering, is anybody even reading those Epic Reports I'm coming up with? Or is there just nothing to say after the fact? Maybe they're just too long and scare any readers away... Anyway, I'm back on BZP. The holidays are over. I now have all the Toa Inika (got Matoro for Christmas) and I have some funds that I can use to pick up a few Matoran Mahri later on. Mostly, I got a bunch of candy (and I had no cavities before Christmas... maybe that's changed) but I also got some books. My cousins gave me "Eragon", which was an interesting read but doesn't end... turns out the whole things a trilogy. Trilogies are good when you have all three books and you can read through them in one go. Lord of the Rings worked, as did Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the 5 book trilogy) becuase I read through all the books, without having to wait for the publication of the next. Now, if I want to continue reaidng the adventures of Eragon, I have to buy two more books, one which isn't even out yet. :annoyed2: And I didn't even get the Lego Star Wars game... I got a game that doesn't work on our computer. Oh joy. And now that Christmas is over, I have only a few days before I'm back in school. That means working for my Comparative World Government class, Calculus class, English class, and probably Spanish, along with my Senor Project. On the bright side, when school starts again I get to start on the next musical... that should be fun. And I have nothing new to add on BZPower. My storywriting career is at a null... I have no inspiration to write anything, be it Bionicle or otherwise. I have a few MOCs I made, but I'm sure they all suck (all mine do) and probably won't qualify for the next BBC (too bad. ). So, thus, I only stay on BZP to update my blog and to comment in a few topics. So, yeah. Happy holidays, and have a grand ol' New Year.

    The Beast Within

That new Island Assult game, besides being too difficult for me to play, seems to have hidden images in it. I think Lego has something coming up in Bionicle that involves... a bear! See the evidence for yourself. Yes, there is no doubt that the shadowy bear is to be the next big thing happening on Voya-Nui. Maybe they must wake the bear from its hibernation to reawake Mata-Nui... or maybe it's all a coincidence? Who can tell? No me.
