Hi guys, I recently attended a homeschool convention called HEAV (Home Educator Association of Virgina) last weekend and stumbled upon some LEGO booths/products. Brickarms and LEGO Education were there, along with a bunch of used BIONICLE/LEGO books. Brickarms were selling Roman themed minifigure packs along with some miscelaneous weapons (They had a Captain America shield which looked pretty dang cool), books, and movies. They were also playing they're stop motion spoof Jericho: The Promise Fulfilled. At the LEGO Education booth, they were showing off the new EV3 set and the original NXT set, along with other LEGO Education sets such as the Story Starter kit, Simple Machines, and some Power Functions. They had a very large pile of Quatro bricks alongside a kiddie pool full of LEGOs! But the best part at the LEGO Education booth was the fact that they were letting everyone 13 and up play with EV3! From my point of view, EV3 is a really nice set. The system has been updated with newer programs, for example, now you can put a "face" on your display screen. EV3 also opens up a lot of new possibilities for building. Such as a motorized Elephant. So, share your thoughts/opinions/experiences on LEGO Education and LEGO booths at conventions! I took pictures of just about everything LEGO there, and will hopefully upload them within the next week!
