Now that we've got some official Toy Fair photos of the Hero Factory sets, I've decided to give my general opinion on the line so far:

Heroes: I have to say that I think the Heroes themselves look pretty nice. I like their colors, mostly, and they look like they have cool weapons. I might pick up Blaze or Surge sometime, depending on whether I have the money or not. Like their helmets and weapons quite a bit as well, though I wish their arms had a bit more armor on them.

Villains: The four villain sets look really . . . meh, IMO, when compared to the Heroes characters. I've seen closer pictures of them than the ones BZP has already provided and I have decided that I won't be picking up any of them, at least at the moment.

Their proportions are my major complaint. With BIONICLE, I have always either liked or ignored the inhuman proportions used on the sets. But the HF villains just look very bad, from what I've seen, and not in a good way. I suppose their proportions are justified, since they don't seem to be humans, but I still dislike them. I admit, however, that the silver and black one (not sure what his name is) looks cool.

Titans/Vehicles: Not sure here. I haven't seen a whole lot of good pictures for these guys, but I'll say that right now I am preferring the vehicles over the titans, though the titans ain't half bad from what I can tell. May pick one up if they aren't too expensive and if I happen to have the money. The motorcycle in particular looks very nice.

Overall, I'd say I'm pretty happy with Hero Factory so far. The vehicles, titans, and Heroes look pretty nice, but the villains are meh. I'm glad to see that the sets have a very distinctive style from BIONICLE, yet at the same time, you can easily tell that they use a similar building platform. My opinion is always subject to change, once the sets actually come out and we see better pictures and stuff, but for now I am fairly positive about HF and look forward to summer, when the sets will be released.
