I've thought we've needed a topic like that for a while, since the discussion of gender stereotyping in BIONICLE almost always dominates every topic it is brought up in, which has made it difficult for me to read those topics for other reasons. Not that I think we should avoid the issue, but it is good that it has its own topic so people who want to discuss it can talk about it as much as they want without unintentionally getting in the way of people who want to discuss other aspects of BIONICLE (such as how awesome the Bota Magna Vorox are, for instance). It's better than banning the discussion of the subject entirely, anyway, which I thought was going to happen if the discusson got heated enough.
