There is the free online version. Even if it is confined to creative only, it is meant for more or less demoing it.

I'd play it on my xbox, not computer. Computer can't play games 'cause it's stupid.

The Xbox version has been improving to be sure.

Sadly no. Not only is it not the same version as PC (releases are much slower on Xbox), but PC multiplier runs on third-party servers while Xbox uses the XBLA system (for this game, one player hosts the world and others join in).

... may not get it after all.

I wouldn't have the xbox version if I could run the PC version right now.
