The same guy who recast Peter Cushing.
Seriously, the only way of moving forward is to create a CGI Hugh Jackman. It would be a lot more convincing than CGI Cushing, too, because he's been filmed in ultra-high-definition, and quite likely has had a digital scan performed on his face. The technology for resurrecting actors will be even better in several years, so if they waited until the early 2020's before debuting CGI Jackman, they could probably make it work. I think that they can do it. The only real challenge is that unlike CGI Cushing, who only appeared in three short scenes, they would have to sustain the illusion of the living, breathing actor being on set throughout the majority of the film.
This isn't a joke. I'm completely serious when I say that this is the only way to recast Hugh Jackman.
Speaking of comic book movies, I'm halfway through my Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 review, and will be posting it tomorrow. And at the same time, going back to re-watch it. There will be no spoilers, in case you haven't seen it, but if that's the case, what's wrong with you? Go see it now!
