It really doesn't look that bad... Maybe it looks worse in person. I'll build it soon enough, since I now have the sets required.

It's pretty bad. The weird skeletal things hooked up to the body interfere with the arms, the tail is an awful mess of bones that barely moves, the legs are weird and uneven, and the body is gappy and bony. It's honestly a wreck.

I thought it was pretty good from the photos, but I'm building it on LDD now to get a sense of what it looks like from various angles. In the very least, I think it deserves some points for creativity. That torso build is interesting if nothing else.

I don't give things points for creativity if it ends up mediocre. The body build not only contributes to how strange the legs end up looking, it just feels too small for the legs, arms and tail, yet still also ends up too big for the petal on the back to effectively cover without making things look exposed.

 

Of course, as you probably note every time you read my posts by now, I have a tendency to be pessimistic, so I could very well be taking these flaws more seriously than someone else would. I just don't like how it looks or how it's built that much. The tail, especially, utilizes the questionable double-bone method, which leaves it highly gappy, very bony, and hard to pose. Additionally, while I can appreciate what they were doing with the pod for a stinger, it doesn't work. The pod made a good abdomen because it was large and round, which is exactly what makes it a terrible stinger to put atop such a bony tail.
