So, I finally convinced a friend of mine to go shooting with me. So I FINALLY get To test my new bow and my new arrows for my old bow. And with some quick calculations I think they're long enough. But barring actually pulling it back with an arrow I can't tell for sure.

 

And than there's the fact that I can't go to the range on a regular basis. I mean, even if I CAN bring it on a city bus, I'm not going to. That just seems like a terrible idea. But it might be fun just to see the looks on people's faces.

 

So, yeah. Archery is cool.

One of my friends is in a fencing club at her college and has to take the bus to and from school, so she has to take her epee on the bus. Everyone gives her a wide berth, because you usually don't want to mess with the six foot tall Peruvian woman with a sword.

 

And, lucky! I wish I could go out and do some archery again some time.

The best part of being an archery instructor at a Boy Scout camp was having an entire range to myself on weekends. It was wonderful. I really do need to get out and shoot again some time.

 

Also, while it definitely depends on where you live, bows should be able to be transported legally as long as they are either cased, destrung, or both, with arrows also stored away in a case or quiver.
