Servicing the Community

turtles r rad, 2 the max
So today I started doing community service at a local nature/wildlife center. I've been a Bad High School Student so far so I have not done any of the required community service hours, which is terrible of me. So I'm doing it this summer, because late is better than never. (I guess I could have chosen a summer that also wasn't occupied with four AP summer assignments, moving, and Professor Layton, but life and timing are just hard like that)
Anyway, the position I have right now is of Arts & Crafts Assistant, which basically means I sit at a table with arts & crafts supplies and help out kids who want to do arts & crafts stuff about all the animals and junk at the center. (Arts & Crafts & Arts & Crafts & Arts & Crafts & Arts & Crafts)
The problem (!!) then is that whoever set up the thing is terrible at laying out things.
The table is set up just a short distance away from the shark & ray exhibit. Meaning. We get no traffic, because who would choose arts & crafts over sharks???? Not even me, and I do art.
So yeah. I had a three hour shift today and got to see all of three kids do arts & crafts. Exciting! But not too much. Or at all.
So basically I got to sit with these two other volunteers and we sat and talked and arted (because if the kids ain't doing it we sure as heck will) for basically the entire time. It was nice, but something tells me that sitting around and doing what I always already do isn't what "giving back to the community" through free, unpaid work is supposed to be about. (I don't think I can honeslty even call that "work")
But I guess I got to color a turtle.
Turtles are rad.
(They have turtles!)

My favorite part is how they actually list that one guy as Ponytail Express in the credits.*
*may not be actual favorite part

chansey is #2
It took me until I finally caught one in LeafGreen to realize it is my favorite Pokémon. So I guess now when that question comes up I have an answer instead of "Um."

(Speaking of LG, why does Selphy give me soooooo many Luxury Balls. Not cool Selphy)

Dear 3DS XL

I have used a lot of pseudo mobile internet browsers. On iPods, Androids, PS3s, weird phones, etcetera. They usually suck a lot.
Your internet browser is by far the suckiest I have ever encountered.
Also I ordered the 3DS from Best Buy and it got to my house within a day. What the heck, Best Buy. What the heck.
