So We Wuz All Liek: "woah..."

Is it me, or are my reference pools wide enough for me to be really innovative in the abilities of Toa?

For instance, couldn't a Toa of fire potentially reach great speeds? He coats himself in flame, And heats up the air directly behind him, pushing him forward. The faster he goes, more friction will build up, in turn making him hotter. Rinse and repeat for potentially supersonic speed.

Of course, this is assuming I get everything right, with the thermodynamics and all. :3

Yeah. I also figured out how to use light to heat up Mangai-Hau-

WAITASEC

The same principles could be applied for light toa as well as fire toa to reach supersonic speeds!

...That is, as long as they are heat resistant.

Which is why a Toa of Fire or Plasma would be able to do it most effectively.

Also, Heat softens things, making them easier to cut through and- CARKIT MANGS WE MUST MAKE A BLOG ENTRY ABOUT THIS

IM STIL ALL LIEK WOOOOOAAAAHHH...

SO YEAH, BROHS AND BROHETTES, THIS'LL BE THE SPOT WHERE WE DISCUSS THE STUFF TOA COULD DO WITH THEIR ELEMENTS...

WOOOOOAAAAHHH.....

Hmm, I'm not too sure about that. I know a fire Toa could use warm air to send him flying, but I'm not sure about friction. And, light. I'm not too sure about that either. I know they can use light for their power, but making themselves light? Feel free to comment back on this, telling me your different explanations that you may have.

No, man. Sorry I didn't get to explain this, but this is how the magic happens:

The said powered dude focusses all light in the area onto their body. Even by subtly changing how much light is hitting them, the armor temperature of their body is changing. If needed, they can even add to the light hitting them. The light carries heat, warming up the armor, and if you get it hot enough, then said powered being can melt through walls, pick up scrap metal and turn it into gobs of molten metal, then throw it, etc.

OMG dis is all liek woah

But also toas of water can explodes things

You put the water in the thing through tiny tiny hole and than explode it from the insides! It might not work, though.

Think of it this way: The faster you go, the more friction builds up from air molecules they bump into. With friction comes heat; since a Toa of Fire can absorb heat and use it, he could transfer that heat into the air molecules behind him, thus making him go even faster... at least, that's the theory.

I'm skeptical of the idea, though. How is merely heating air molecules enough to generate sufficient thrust? You would have to heat them up so quickly that the air molecules practically explode outward, like how lightning causes thunder. In addition, you would need to move your feet very quickly, or else your face would meet the ground and that would be the end of that. I just can't imagine air molecules sending a seven-foot-tall Toa flying.
