Same; that singlehandedly hyped Smash 4 for me.

 

MK8... I called the name. everyone in the world called the name. =P But... eh. It's good if I get the system I guess, but it's turning out like the Windows releases, every odd release is a must-get. =P

 

The dragon nerf will be so much appreciated. =P

 

As for this stuff, that'll be interesting, yeah; can't wait to see what comes of it.

Skipping the stuff about Pokemon because I'm trying to avoid spoilers because I'm mildly masochistic like that...

 

Yeah SSB looks amazing. I really hope it can do cross-platform matchups, because that'd be the bees knees, but I'm not sure if it's something they'd want to go for. Regardless, I will be getting the 3DS version as well, and I challenge you to a match, good sir.

I'm really happy the Villager is in Smash Bros. They said when Brawl came out that the Villager wouldn't fit in with the VIOLENCE of the game, so it'd be interesting to see how that pans out.

 

And Megaman makes me excited for even more characters, like Viewtiful Joe, and the Wii Fit Trainer makes me hopeful that we'll get some obscure characters and a BIG overall roster - so big that they can afford 'joke' characters like her.

 

Make sure Olimar is back, of course. And Mewtwo as well as Lucario.

 

, combine Mewtwo/Lucario, Fox/Falco/Wolf etc into one character each, just reskinning them. That way they could have LOADS of different characters - like picking Link and then being able to select a skin so he looks like WW/TP/SS/OOT/ALTTP. That'd help make it feel HUGE.

 

Or a Pokemon Trainer with Pokemon who can look like Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard but then can be re-skinned into Totodile/Bayleef/Typhlosion. Stuff like that. It'd be awesome and feel huge. Olimar who can be made to look like Louie or one of the new Pikmin 3 leaders.

 

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

Tilius, how on earth would you combine Lucario and Mewtwo into one character? They're not even remotely similar from what I remember of my brief time playing Mewtwo.

Yeah Mewtwo and Lucario wouldn't fit together at all...

 

But with his new forme, it actually would make sense to bring Mewtwo back!

 

And all of the skins mods out there have proven that the skin idea is completely viable and would indeed make the roster feel truly deep, but I don't think I'd like it. For one, all of those characters are slightly different. There's enough complaints about clones as it is, despite the differences, but to literally make them all the same? Ehhhh, not a good idea.

Mega Man's gonna be loads of fun to play as...but i honestly think the Villager's going to be pretty good too. and who said anything about the Trainer being a joke? honestly, i'm interested to see how she'll work in-game. her Final Smash looks pretty neat.

 

i agree with Tilius, skins are a good idea. there really isn't that much of a difference between Fox, Falco, and Wolf; we all know that. honestly, though, i can't see any of the other skin combinations you mentioned happening. i'd think that (for instance) Squirtle and Totodile's movesets would at least be slightly different. i know next to nothing about Pokemon, though, so maybe i'm wrong?

Charizard's flying ability also completely breaks all of the other Fire starters.

I still say Mario Kart 8 should have been called Mario Kart Galaxy. I'm also wondering if Super Mario 3D World will abandon the gravity mechanics completely or will still include a few levels that feature them.

It would be neat to have a collection of Pokemon trainers available using the various region starter sets, though. 'Specially if it didn't stick to the type/evolution matchups of the Kanto trainer. IE, Serperior/Dewott/Tepig, or Feraligatr/Quilava/Chikorita.

MEWTWO AND LUCARIO COULD FIT TOGETHER THEY HAVE KIND OF SIMILAR BODY TYPES AND HE KIND OF REPLACED MEWTWO LAST TIME EVEN THOUGH THEIR MOVES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

 

Also they need to add Professor Layton. Obviously.

Here's a rumor for you all, though I'm uncertain of the source: the next three new characters to be revealed for Smash Brothers are Little Mac, Pac-Man, and Mii.

Maybe a pokemon trainer style character with Mewtwo, Lucario, and one other? I'm not a Pokemon fan, so I wouldn't know.

If they add Mii, it's about time. Both systems the new game are on are Mii-capable, and the Mii's been in enough different sorts of games to give them potential for a VERY varied moveset.
