Well, it's kinda been completed for a few months, but, well, I haven't had a chance to really get a screenshot. The textures aren't all on, and probably won't be for a while, but it works rather well as it is. =)

Link to rendered image.

I need to scale it down, if I ever use that for a test sword model, it outscales the rest of my test models by a Longshot. ... Which gives me an idea for a possible object to make next, if I continue a Zelda pattern. =P

If you guys want, of course, you can give me requests for stuff to make. =D Speaking of which, I need to work on that tea cup that Alex had suggested a while back; I got distracted by the Game Engine stuff. xD

I know what you should do next: VAMPIRE DRAGONS 8D

*ahem*

on a more serious note, this is absolutely awesome! =D Not knowing anything about the original I can't tell how accurate it is, but it looks like a pretty cool sword to me, which is great. =D

Aaaand are capable of telepathy. =D

Ah, okay. Well, they don't look that wrong to me, they just should be slightly more angled, pointing a bit further outwards. (if that makes any sense. it's one of those things I'd rather show than tell IRL. :/)

Apart from that, yes, it seems to be mostly texturing that keeps it from looking like the original. ^^

EDIT: approva2.jpg almost forgot about that ^^" (just in case I haven't given it to you yet, which I'm somehow sure I have, but who knows...)

Indeed. =P

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm thinking. I just can't figure out how to pull the angle off better the way it's designed. But yes, that's exactly what I'm not liking about them. xD

Yeah; it's not as blue in the actual game for the blade, but... here, lemme get a pic of the in-game model: Link approved this link. So yeah, I'm pretty much only missing the gold on the connector to the hilt and blade.

Thanks. =D I'll add when I figure out how to fix my approvals.

Dude!

Nice job!

There's a little trick that could really help some of the details.

Pretty much, you add some edge loops, throw in a subsurf modifier, and bring the edge loops really close to the sharp edges.

That'll help smooth out the hilt, while keeping the angles and blade sharp.

Not only that, it'll make the blade look more realistic, since nothing in real life is actually "perfectly" sharp.

You should totally do the boomerang next. :P

Yeah, was thinking of using Subsurf modifiers; but I figured with the amount of stuff I had in there(And the fact that that's actually four parts; the blade, hilt, handle, and gem are all separate objects in the editor. =P) it might slow things down. But when I revisit it, I'll look into that for sure. =D

Hmm, you have a very good point. The Master Sword may have a reason for being better than most, but still. =P

Hmm, that's actually a good idea. I'll keep that in mind, though the question is: which one? xD
