I'd use a normal Metru head and mask. The head is a bit blocy, but it is good otherwise.

Not a metru mask, I would somehow mount a Metru Head on it, and improve on that with a custom mask-ish thing.

 

I'm pretty sure he was saying no to the whole idea of using a metru head or a mask.
