Avatar is one of those movies where the more and more I think about it, the less I like it. Kind of like every George Lucas film.

Didn't someone already do this for Harry Potter/Star Wars? For that matter, can't this logic be applied to every movie ever made?

 

I would like to know when exactly people decided that inspiration became synonymous with plagiarism.

Nah, not really. It was good, but not anything outstanding...

 

It's just that:

Noticing that Avatar has the same basic story as Dances With Wolves does not make you observant. Furthermore, pointing it out does not make you clever, especially if you're just taking notes from South Park.

 

It's been almost a year, can we please move on now?
