So you see how sometimes on wet roads, rainbows might appear on the ground? Well today there was like an entire block that was just darkly tinted rainbows. It blew my mind.

I watched the movie Red today. Not a lot of people in the theater despite it being opening weekend, but the theater was larger than most. The movie itself was a wild ride, had both humor and action. I enjoyed it~

Well, New York Comic Con and Anime Fest is this weekend, and tomorrow (Saturday), I'll be attending. I'm pretty excited. Also, three-day weekend B) Buuuut it's time to give some short coverage on the Medieval Festival in my neighborhood, which happened last Sunday. I didn't get to go last year, but this year it worked out. And I'm happy indeed, except for one thing... The pickle man wasn't there. Every year, there's this guy who dresses like a pirate and has a barrel of pickles. He's amazing, albeit a slightly strange personality, and I was really disappointed that he wasn't here this year. Moving on The Medieval Fest was pretty fun, especially since I was with three friends pretty much the whole time. I had fried dough with strawberries and sugar powder for lunch (yum) and later a little bit of popcorn. There were these giant turkey legs, AKA mutten (one or two t's?) that almost everyone at the festival who wasn't vegetarian were eating. Well, except me. There was jousting several times during the day, but I only got to see the conclusion by climbing (in my long skirt) onto the tall bleachers and holding onto the railing to look over at the field. I managed to get this picture at the very end. Later on, people fought each other in skirmishes. I later learned that this called Human Chess, and I didn't get it, but oh well. It was entertaining. At the same field, they had these trapeze dancer people who performed on a structure of ribbon, and I thought that was amazing. They also demonstrated a real whip by cutting up some roses. There were unicorns, a large one and smaller pony one. A wizard, possibly Gandalf, made an appearance as well! Swords and other weaponry were sold at the event. I would have picked one up, but they weren't going to let someone under 18 handle such beautiful (or rather, sharp) things. Other vendors sold various jewelry for the most part, incense, cool gems and stones, pottery, and more. I obtained a smokey quartz crystal and this pretty thing. Throughout the event, you could also find various performers, ranging from singers to bagpipe players. And, finally, we end on a punny note.

It was just as amazing as the first time seeing it, if not even better. On the way home, I also had some interesting discussions with the group that I saw the movie with. <3 This was also my first time seeing a movie twice in theaters.

Today I watched Inception. Back home, I watched the anime movie Paprika. You've probably all heard about the dream-themed Inception, and Paprika is very similar. Paprika involves a device, the DC Mini, that lets people go into other people's dreams. So watching this crazy combo today.... my mind is blown. Inception is one of the greatest films I've ever seen, and you all have to watch it. If you, for some reason, can only watch one movie every year, Inception should be that movie. And Paprika is a creepy film. also off-topic, but, Black Rock Shooter <3

It was beautiful. I really enjoyed watching it, despite not remembering the previous two films that well. Still brought me back to the good old days. <3

I painted Richard Rahl from Legend of the Seeker in watercolour. Check it. Also new blog theme wheee

As usual, I'm not writing long reviews of the movie. But it was pretty cool. The beginning had me in, then towards the middle it got slightly confusing, and near the end there was so much gunfire I was like "aaaah enough of this!". And I could not make out any of the Russian in the movie, so it's either that the actors have terrible dialects or I'm just terrible at picking the stuff out. But it was still nice.

I saw it in 3D today. I loved it a lot, surprisingly. <3 I also tried peach bubble tea today, and it was really good. Only, the guy put so many fruit chunks that every time I took a sip from the straw, I'd get more solid fruit than drink. xP

First I am disappointed that no one got the reference in the previous entry. You all need to go and read Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Aaaaanyways I think I did well on most of my midterms. In gym, we didn't do anything for half the time (woo relaxing) and for the other half we played a soccer game. He said we deserved to relax, with all the tests pressuring us. My English teacher graded our midterm right away because it was so short - I got a 99. And for all you Brickfair people - my dad finally signed me up to it, and the check was sent today. So I'm officially going. ^^

"...What is the difference between this banana and this mini slinky wrapped in cellophane?" Chris Taylor is the big man in Gas Powered Games. He's a game designer, famous for Total Annihilation, Dungeon Siege, and Supreme Commander. His current work in progress is Kings and Castles, an epic fantasy RTS. I cannot wait for K&C to come out, but while we wait Chris Taylor is posting awesome video blogs about the development of the game, one each week. The above quote is from the latest one he released on Friday. In his first video blog he was on a farm. "Here I am chopping wood... Making video games is way harder than this!" and "Now I'm feeding a horse. Feeding a horse and video games... nothing to do with each other." He is an awesome man, both funny and creative. <3

Thank for the happy birthdays in my topic and all that. And more thankees to Spink <3 I saw Alice in Wonderland with my pals, and I liked it a lot. The only thing that killed it was when the Jabberwocky talked. That was just terrible. Cheshire Cat <3 And Mad Hatter <3 The Tim Burton exhibit was sold out, and we didn't have timed tickets so meh. Instead we went out and chilled. And it was a beautiful day <3 I also drew Lelouch last night. He's really fun to draw, and I hope to upload it soon and show all of you. I don't feel like listing my gifts now, but none were super special awesome. Except the flowers, flowers are always nice. One more heart for you guys cuz this entry is full of them <3

New Firefox makes it harder to get my blog banner URL. D: And is my life really that boring that I have to resort to entries about my food? So today my friend decided to give me an early birthday present (she even gave me the card early), because she won't be able to attend my lovely afterschool plans for the actual birthday. Which I will explain in a different entry if I already haven't. We went down to her middle school, which was kind of pretty even though it looked like any old school. Across the street from the school was a really simple cafe-like place that didn't serve a lot of items. What it did have are these amazing cookies. It was a giant chocolate chip cookie with huge round chocolate chips, and that was put in a microwave to warm it and melt the chocolate a little. Then they put some whipped cream into it. And then I ate with a fork as if it were a cake. Absolutely delicious. @_@ Also my dad bought a cream cheese that wasn't that pizza cream cheese so I'm kind of sad.

So for art class we're gonna start some serious watercolor paintings, and I need to either bring in a fruit (which I've been bringing this whole week ><) or bring in some random, cool objects. Any suggestions for objects? I also finished the drawing I mentioned in my previous entry, but I'll have to scan it when I bring my big bag (it really is a sack) of art home. And I dunno about you but I think this is pretty awesome.

So like I told my mom I wanted to eat and asked if we still had this awesome cream cheese. She was like "No, but we have cream cheese with tomato and basil." And I said "Okay I'll try that." When I spread it on my bread, it was like pizza. The cream cheese is just like pizza: the tomato, basil, and cheese, minus the bread, but then you provide the bread so yeah. It was awesome. (And totally not like those huge, disgusting bacon creations.) Sadly my bro and I used up the last of that cream cheese. ;_;

It's March already? Because March is an awesome month. You have Spirit Week at school, St. Patrick's Day, my birthday, spring finally coming (=D), and report cards/parent-teacher conferences. Okay, the last one might not be awesome, it depends on you. But February was fast. Even though it was a short month. And very snowy. Too snowy for my taste. Randomness: Also yaaaay Hetalia's new season started today so that's another thing to make March awesome =D Tomorrow I'm going to that cheap bookstore I got some manga at before afterschool, I'm hoping to score more good deals on books there. Vampire Knight =O (1st opening theme is <3) In my art room I got some scraps from the paper cutter that were the perfect size for bookmarks, so I'm gonna make a few. One is gonna be designated to a special someone. ;3 Randomness over, have a nice day.

Kinder Surprise Eggs <3 And inside these chocolate eggs are really cheap but surprisingly fun to collect tiny toys. I have a huge bin full of them, some with missing parts and more. But yes, that was my childhood. Now, the store that I got then from doesn't sell them regularly, only around Christmas and New Years. But they sell other Kinder products throughout the year, though they just aren't the same as the eggs.

A few nights ago, I had a dream that was, well, amazing to experience. So down by the street corner there was an old man, a table, and three cups of water on that table. The man looked worn out, and had a long beard that he apparently hadn't trimmed in a while, but he didn't appear homeless. But, the interesting thing about him was his purpose for setting up the three cups: to passerby, he would constantly announce that all three of the cups of water were poisoned. As I approached him, he suddenly suffered a heart attack, stroke, or some other thing of that sort. He died before the ambulance could arrive. But I was touched by his three cups. I took them for myself, and set upon a journey around the entire world to tell people about the three poisoned cups. It was an amazing and inspiring journey for me. And I never did figure out if the cups were actually poisoned. Or maybe I'm just crazy. xP

...to get a small strand of hair out my cup of tea just now. I worked very, very hard, and I succeeded! My cup of tea was once again enjoyable. =D New character fanart is up - this time it's America. And it's full color. Speaking of Hetalia, I have the song Marukaite Chikyuu stuck in my head. It's kinda of annoying a song but it's still lovely. To the new staffers: congratulations, and I hope you have a wonderful time doing your job. To the dudes (Kex and Makaru) who stepped down: sad to see you guys go from those positions, but I hope you do well in whatever you're up to now.

I'm freeeeeeeee~ School was actually fun. Because my school is crazy, the instrumental and vocal people of the school went around the halls and sang or played Christmas songs and carols. Many walked into the room, which was a delight to the students just waiting for the day to be over with so they could go home for the break. And I had cramps at the same time, so the music cheered me up. After school, myself and a few people went to B&N. After buying some gifts, we chilled in the manga section. One of these guys is an FMA freak, so a lot of time was spent on that. xP We also looked for a CD from the Chorus Line musical, but neither B&N nor Best Buy had it. S we gave up and went home. Now I'm home.... munching on some salty peas (the bag they came in has Chinese on it =O) that my science partner gave me. Cuz she knows I love them. <3
