Lyichir Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Wasn't there a time where lego used transparent light blue in their windshields? yeah i think, but the tr-brown better reflects the sun-tinted windshields/windows of most modern vehicles, so they use it for nearly all of them now. :0 Lego still uses Trans. Light Blue heavily for windscreens in Lego City. While Trans. Brown is indeed used for many vehicles, it's far from a replacement for Trans. Light Blue. A better example of Trans. Brown's usage is that it was perhaps the most common windscreen color in the early years of Lego Star Wars. It's still used in that theme, though not as heavily, with many sets now opting for a more accurate Transparent.
